View Full Details of Gresley HouseMum says her stay was very good. Staff great and the care was spot on.
Mum who has dementia is really happy at Gresley House she loves the staff/management. Mum is looked after really well by all staff. We regularly visit her and are very happy with the care that she receives.
My nan stayed at Gresley House for three weeks whilst I was on honeymoon. My nan had lots of visitors whilst at Gresley House who all fed back to me telling me that my nan was happy. She loved all the staff, she enjoyed the food being served. My nan was poorly while she was on respite and immediately action was taken to ensure she was treated correctly.
Excellent care and a fantastic place. Lovely, friendly and caring staff. Mum calls it her other home and family; it's lovely to see Mum so happy. Thank you, everyone; it's so appreciated.
After being diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, it soon became obvious my sister-in-law could no longer live alone and needed 24/7 care. Gresley House welcomed her as a resident 20 months ago, and she soon settled in under the loving care of all the staff. In my opinion, they go above and beyond looking after the residents making sure they see to all their needs. She is content and safe in the care of the amazing staff at Gresley House. Thank you all so much.
It was very traumatic bringing my dad (who has vascular dementia) to a Care Home that we were unable to visit beforehand because of COVID-19. The staff at Gresley House have been wonderfully caring and have done their utmost to keep me and my siblings informed and to enable us to speak to him regularly. He is being very well cared for and from what we hear from him, the food is excellent and the staff are always very kind. He has done some painting, made some bird feeders, decorated Chinese lanterns and decorated an Easter hat and often plays draughts. They have from time to time sent us photos of him and we are well informed also via our personal WhatsApp group. If ever dad has fallen, they have been quick to tell us and we feel that we can entrust him to their care with total confidence. Thank you so much to you all for looking after him with dignity and loving care.
From the very first day that my Dad (who has vascular dementia) arrived to live at Gresley House, I have been thoroughly impressed with the care he has received from the lovely staff here. They have been amazing! The communication with my siblings and me about how my Dad is getting on has been excellent. We’re always kept informed on his well-being. I’ve visited Dad as often as possible and he has settled well. I can sense that he feels at home here. He’s always loved his food too and says that the meals here are excellent. Our grateful thanks to the team.
The staff are very professional, caring and have genuine feelings for the care of people in the home. Plenty of activities for residents to enjoy. Food is very good. Staff are very easy to talk to and eager to answer any questions. Very good residential home and very clean.
I would just like to say many thanks to all the carers/key workers who work extremely hard not only for my dad but also for all of the other residents, also have managed from isolating themselves from Covid-19, have managed to keep the home and residents safe, with not having one case of Covid-19 in the home.
Gresley House is the home of my grandmother. We have peace of mind that she is somewhere safe and at home, my grandmother has dementia and can’t remember much but one thing she never forgets is how much she loves living at Gresley House. When I visit Gresley House it seems to me like one big family of people, everybody is so lovely and welcoming. Thank you so much for taking care of my grandmother and supporting us as a family. You have given us peace of mind. It has also been relieving to know that the safety of my grandmother has been maintained through the awful pandemic we are facing. Thank you so so much. All the best.
I have been so pleased with how my husband is being cared for. The staff are helpful and friendly and I cannot fault the home. It is so clean and my husband is very happy. I feel as though he is safe and I no longer have to worry about him! Also great value for money.
My father came into the care home at the end of December 2019. As I was shown around I was extremely impressed with how clean everywhere was. The lounges and his bedroom looked very comfortable and homely. The carers have been outstanding, they soon got to know my dad and pay him so much attention. He loves music and they are always having a sing-along and dance with him, play his favourite songs and make him feel very special. He just loves being in their company and all of our family are so grateful in the knowledge that he is happy and being well looked after. We are given updates as to how he is and we can ring and Facetime him, which has been so comforting with not being able to see him during the Coronavirus pandemic. Since being in the home he has picked up no end, he sleeps well, eats lovely meals in the nice dining area, bought homemade cake, hot/cold drinks to him when relaxing in the lounges, where there are large TV's to watch. I cannot credit the care home and staff enough.
My father was welcomed into Gresley House just after Christmas of 2019 following a very difficult period for the entire family. Despite never being away from his wife and home and being diagnosed with dementia he has settled in wonderfully, much to the relief of the whole family. The quality of loving care he has received has been exceptional. Due to the current pandemic, we've been unable to visit for several weeks but the family are able, thanks to the staff, to have regular virtual visits. It is clear that my dad is happy and well cared for, albeit still very upsetting to see his dementia taking hold of him in this cruel way. Without the care and help and professionalism of the entire team at Gresley House, I really don't know how the family could have coped. We knew very little of this awful illness which is slowly taking our Dad away from us but thanks to Gresley House they are helping my dad to live what time he has left with dignity.
My dad has been in Gresley House since March. I am extremely pleased with his care and how the staff have helped him to settle in. Nothing is too much trouble. Obviously, in these times of lockdown, we have not been able to visit but we can ring and speak to him whenever. The staff are always friendly and helpful on the phone. I think the staff do a tremendous job. I would highly recommend the home to anyone.
I am very happy and satisfied with the way my wife has been looked after. Any problems were sorted out quickly, couldn't ask for more.
Staff are excellent, the food is very good and with the new manager in place you can see the difference. I would question if there were enough staff on nights to cover the home in general.
We have found the home to be a caring place for mum. Food and the cleanliness of the home is excellent. Any problems are dealt with straight away. All the staff are very good and make you feel welcome when visiting.
The house is very clean. The staff are very tidy and smart. They are very helpful. The room my wife is in is very clean and airy. Very good value for money.
I didn't know what to expect. I went for 2 weeks whilst I had my bathroom made into a wet room. I had to stay another 5 days because it wasn't finished. Everything was superb, a beautiful room with a large television, very comfy single bed and the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The food was to die for. It was just like a holiday. I have COPD and hardly any balance. Meals were brought to my room when I wanted - everything was excellent. If I needed a home, I'd go there for good.
Gresley House provides excellent care for my father, who has some physical disabilities as well as Alzheimer's. The care, food and environment have improved immensely over the last few years. The activities and events are stimulating and enjoyable for us all. My family and I are always made welcome and are always offered tea and cake. I heartily recommend Gresley House to anyone looking for a homely, friendly care home.
