View Full Details of Richmond Residential Care HomeMy auntie has been a resident here at Richmond Residential Care Home for 9 months now, She is 88 years young and has a few health issues, she also sadly suffers with Alzheimers disease and was no longer able to live safely in her own home. Since moving to Richmond her quality of life has much improved, she has 24 hour care from a fantastic team of carers who are all very experienced, there are lots of activities to keep everyone engaged, lots of fun and parties. The manager is very focused on all the needs of the residents.
Speaking on behalf of my Mother, I found the home to be just what was required for her. The staff were all friendly, caring, and compassionate. The standard of care was excellent. The food that I saw was portioned well and of good standard. The room quality was of a good standard and well kept and very clean. All in all very happy with the overall package.
I cannot think of a bad thing to say about this care home, the staff are all angels, caring, friendly, and hardworking. The attention to detail and care is 100%. The home is clean and homely. I cannot think of a better place to send your loved ones.
Words can't describe how thankful myself and my family are for each and every one that works at Richmond. Such a wonderful place, the care and compassion we have been shown have been superior. Seeing how our Nana and other residents are cared for is truly heartwarming. It's not just a care home, it's a home and these people genuinely care about each and every one of their residents, they go above and beyond for everyone who walks through their doors. Though we are now mourning, thanks to Richmond staff the hardest time of our lives now has treasured memories. Thank you to you all, you have a warm place in our hearts forever.
My mum has been at Richmond Care Home now for about 4 years. The care has always been to a high standard. All of Mum's needs physically and mentally are met through the excellent variety of activities that are provided. When visiting the staff are friendly, caring and gave time to me. Mum and I say that Richmond is her extended family because Mum is happy there, and they feel like family. Thank you for the fantastic job all staff do at Richmond.
What a lovely place. My auntie stayed here for a month from the beginning of July. Staff are always busy caring for residents. Residents are always doing something, i.e., knitting, making pompoms, celebrating birthdays, they even had a wedding as one resident got married, they regularly take them out for coffee and cake. Hairdressers and chiropodists come regularly. You are free to visit when you want. The place is clean and tidy. When I visited, I could go and sit in the garden with my aunt and have coffee.
A very warm welcome by staff; reassuring and kind. Mum is settling well and says 'they treat me like a person and not an old lady'. Communication has been timely and efficient. Rooms decorated to a high standard. Social media posts are regular and positive, as to activities undertaken. Thank you.
Whenever we visit, she is very happy and the carers are always friendly. We know she is being looked after. She has a lovely bedroom. It is beautiful and everywhere is very clean.
Mum had previously been to the Richmond for respite care several times in the last two years because of her dementia. In March this year I needed cancer surgery and follow up treatment, so she went in for longer and this has now become permanent due to her deteriorating health. We have always been very happy for Mum to stay there and all the staff are so dedicated (often under trying circumstances) and welcoming, which has been a huge weight off our minds, especially at this difficult time. Mum was finding it difficult to settle in, with being in longer this time, but the staff have been brilliant with her and very supportive with me too, which has been greatly appreciated. The activities they provide are really varied and it is lovely to see all the social media photos of the residents enjoying themselves so much, it is the happiest we have seen Mum in years!
Richmond Care Home is a 'home from home' and looks after the residents with dignity, love and compassion.
I find Richmond to be a friendly caring environment for my parents to reside in.
My dad was a resident of the Richmond Residential Care Home for just under 6 months, following his illness, a fall and onset of dementia. During his time there, I found the care home to be very good, his room was very nice and the staff I dealt with were very friendly and the meals provided and the facilities I thought were very good. I only wish my dad had been less ill and able to appreciate more the facilities on hand.
Staff do very well in trying circumstances. They were very prompt in updating us with any developments and were very knowledgeable in obtaining services, better than the doctors and social services. Some of the staff were observed to go above and beyond with their personal level of care and genuinely became attached to the patients. Dad was too ill to properly enjoy all the facilities, but I personally enjoyed the garden as did residents who used it.
I find Richmond care home to be excellent. The staff go above and beyond to help the residents feel they are loved and cared for. The staff always give 100% looking after residents' health and well-being and the activities and entertainment they think up for them is brilliant. I would certainly recommend it to anyone needing to go in a care home.
Very welcoming, clean, always plenty of things happening. Staff and management are so kind. nothing is too much for them.
I can't thank the team enough for the care they provide for my dad. We had tried to keep dad at home as we did not think he would settle in a care home but he loves it at Richmond and settled in quickly. The staff are friendly, with lots of activities and a lovely secure garden which is dads favourite place to be. The Manager is great at keeping me updated with anything I need to know and I can settle knowing he's in great hands. Highly recommend Richmond to anyone
My dad has been in Richmond since 10-02-2020 with dementia and other problems, all the staff have been excellent. They catered for his every need, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. They made him and me feel part of a great big family, there were so many activities going on all the time. I could not wish for him to have spent his last years than being at Richmond, thanks once again to all staff from the bottom of my heart for the excellent care you gave him, I would recommend this care home to anyone.
I live in Bristol so cannot see dad as much as would like to but Richmond care home are excellent at keeping me informed and do everything they can so I can speak to him and see how well he is doing on Facebook he looks so much healthier the staff are amazing I'm so glad he is there definitely a piece of my mind.
My father went into Richmond care home in November 2020 due to dementia. The manager and staff were fantastic with him and all residents. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff to help with anything residents needed. They are such a friendly organisation. They always have something different going on day and night. I would recommend this care home to anyone. Best by far.
I am very happy with the standard of care my husband receives at Richmond. He has a lot of mental health issues and has posed certain problems for me and the staff. However, he is always treated with respect even when he is lacking respect for the staff which does happen. I know he is safe and well cared for and know his needs are being met. The staff do so much for the residents and my only concern is that he won't join in with anything and prefers to stay in his room, but the staff always try to persuade him to come and join in and I appreciate it.
