View Full Details of King William Residential HomeMy mum has received exceptional care since moving to live at King William Residential Home back in 2022, and it has brought me so much peace of mind to see her so well cared for. The staff go above and beyond to make her feel safe, comfortable, and valued - not just for her physical needs, but emotionally and personally as well. The fact that they're helping her stay connected to her family and friends whilst ensuring she feels part of the King William family is truly special. The activities provided by the team are so varied, and there is always something to do: dancing, flower arranging, cooking, swimming, local farm visits, music, bingo, visiting performers/animals, spa treatments, an onsite salon... the list goes on and on! Mum really enjoys the meals too - it seems every meal is one of her favourites! The care staff always keep me informed and updated on my mum's health and well-being. It is incredibly reassuring for me to see how well she's being looked after! Thank you King William!
The King William residence is a fabulous building, which has been transformed into a homely, cosy, fully equipped residential home. As a family we were drawn to its 'home from home' atmosphere. All the staff are extremely caring and professional towards our mother, also welcoming and approachable towards our family. Any queries that we may have are quickly addressed, which is comforting. The activities provided for residents are well organised and varied with trips out. Thank you for your dedication.
We are happy with our mother's care, but at times could do better. I think our mother has fallen around twelve times and on many occasions damaged herself badly. Our mother doesn't take up a lot of time at the care home, doesn't eat much and isn't any trouble. We are happy with most of the staff but not all.
When my mum went into King William's care home from hospital, she was in a very poor way. I wasn't expecting her to live long. Since she's been in KW, she has made huge progress in every way. This is down to the exemplary care and attention she receives from the staff there. Nothing is too much trouble. She tells me she feels 'safe' and this is because she knows that someone is looking after her, night and day. The home has a genuine family feel and the staff have made it their concern to know everything they can about my mum - her history, her family, her likes and dislikes, her hobbies and interests. They are even arranging for her to visit her church with support which is more than I could have wished for. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone looking for a placement in adult care for a loved one. It's a huge step to take for all involved, but King William has made this transition as easy as it could be. I know my mum is safe and she knows it too.
My mum came for three weeks respite care in 2023, which she enjoyed so much so decided to move to King William Residential Home permanently. She said the food was delicious and all the staff were kind, caring and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. She enjoyed the activities that she was able to take part in too and was looking forward to being able to spend some time in the lovely garden in the summer. Unfortunately, Mum became ill and after a stay in hospital she never fully recovered and sadly passed away in March 2024 but I know she enjoyed her time there and knew she was safe and well cared for, which was a weight off our minds. Would definitely recommend.
Visiting a short-term guest. Arrived to see a lady doing a quiz. Had a nice time helping answer questions. The staff all seemed really nice to residents and the place smelt clean. I've left the ratings that I didn't witness.
Since moving our relative to King William early this year, he is already unrecognisable to the man he had become. He has come alive! The staff are absolutely fantastic! They provide so many activities and trips for residents and clearly love what they do. So much care and nothing is too much trouble. It brings me to tears each time we visit. A credit to their profession.
The management and the care staff at the home treated Mum like one of their own. They are an asset to your company. Not only did they treat Mum with so much love but they also treated us with the same love and respect. I feel that management is like family now. Even right from the meeting at the hospital two members of staff straight away made my mum smile again. Mum arrived on her first day before we got there, when I entered the room she had the biggest smile and looked so happy.
Mum was very reluctant to go into a care home at first, but she soon settled in. Staff are lovely, warm, friendly and encourage Mum to remain as independent as possible. She really enjoys the food, activities and the companionship of both staff and residents. We are always made welcome when we visit and kept up to date with Mum's healthcare etc. The building is kept clean and in good order and is always lovely and warm too.
On arrival, I was met with a lovely warm welcome and smiles. There was such a homely atmosphere there and it made me feel secure. There was always someone really to help me when I needed this day and night, nothing ever too much trouble. The food and general care were excellent. As a Christian, I was so happy we have hymn signing on Sundays which lifted my spirits.
I am not involved in the finance side, but very impressed with everything else. Well done, keep it up.
For the first time ever my mum needed respite care for a few weeks, it was all new to us and we didn't know what to expect, any doubts we had were quickly dispelled, the King William home was absolutely brilliant with her, with lovely staff and a great environment, the activities, good food and friendly staff worked wonders with her, Mum loved it, you could see her improve every day, the fun the residents have with the staff is great and the activities with fun are a joy to behold. We cannot think of any negative points. When a loved one goes into care it affects the whole family, we were so relieved to witness first-hand that Mum was enjoying her stay, it put all our minds at ease and that is so important. We have no hesitation in recommending the King William residential home in Ripley, Derbyshire. Finally, thank you to all the staff for making this home so good, we all miss you.
The respite care that was given was exceptional. She was so well looked after and she really settled in and made friends. The carers are angels and work so hard. They are kind and patient and go out of their way to make things nice and cheerful. The food is of a high standard, the home is spotlessly clean and the entertainment they provide for the residents is uplifting and stimulating. Thank you from all our family for providing the care you gave.
My wife attends daycare on a Tuesday each week, this is her second attendance. I feel very happy and confident when leaving her there because I feel and gave seen how she is looked after by staff, it's a lovely clean residence with helpful people. Nice food and warm atmosphere. Glad I have taken her there to also gives me a rest and she seems happy, which makes me happy as well.
The staff are really friendly and supportive. I cannot believe that my husband settled her so quickly. If he is happy then I am happy and more settled in my mind. The home is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent. I cannot praise the activities team enough as they provide a wide selection of activities, entertainment and outings to keep the residents engaged and happy. The management is efficient and always helpful. Well done to all the team.
Brillinat staff from kitchen to carers and management team. Residents are treated with dignity and get good stimulation from staff with activities such as reading, singing and one-to-one care. A hard-working, conscientious team that really care not only for residents but also for their family. Dad settled in quickly when I thought he never would. Well done King William!
On entering the home the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Everyone of the staff are helpful and always approachable if you need to ask them any questions. They keep me well informed of my mother's health and care, nothing is too much trouble.
I am very satisfied with the level of care my mother receives at King William. All the staff are brilliant and look after her very well. The only negative is top-up fees, these cannot be justified in any way.
My mother-in-law has been in King William for a year and a half and she seems fairly happy with the care she receives. Every one of the staff is excellent and really go out of their way to make her feel valued.
Place is very clean. Staff are very pleasant. Like the doors locked so staff have to open them.
