It's all been very easy to transition from hospital to care home. The staff are brilliant. My mother-in-law will be happy and rejuvenated with this warming welcome to Barnfield Care Home. Well done team and thank you.

The staff are compassionate, friendly and very supportive. The overall care that my mum has received has been excellent during a very difficult time in her life. The management staff are informative and any questions that I have are answered quickly and are approachable. Mum has settled in and more importantly has a better quality of life, whilst still retaining her independence. She is regularly encouraged to join in with activities and also to join other residents in the communal areas. I would highly recommend Barnfield to anyone who is seeking care of a loved one.

My husband is being cared for at Branfield Care Home. Everyone is making his stay as good as it can be. I visit many times a week and nothing is too much trouble, would highly recommend this care home. People really care.

My husband has been in this care home for almost six months and although he took some time settling in, he is now very content. All the staff have been so encouraging and good to him that he responds to individuals always with a smile. They are all very approachable and always willing to talk with me. When any incident has occurred, I have been contacted immediately. I found it very difficult in the early stages but over time, any worries have been relieved and I know that he is getting the care he needs.

I have found the management and care staff extremely friendly and helpful at all times. It took my mum quite a long time to settle in but now she is happy being a resident in Barnfield Care Home. I would recommend the home to anyone seeking care for a loved one.

Having been a councillor on three authorities and the fire authority totaling some 50 years and at the same time working in care for some 23 years.. whilst being a trustee on a number of caring charities, I'm in a position to be able to assess what is good or bad quality care. I can honestly say I can't fault the staff or the care in Barnfield Care Home in any way. With regards to the facilities where activities take place they do look a little dated but the rooms and eating area are quite adequate.

Very pleasing to see carers who care. All the clients were clean and dressed. Friendly staff. Nice and warm and homely. Even Dad, who doesn't like having or being given a shave, was smart, sat in a chair. Thank you all for the hard work and dedication looking after my parent.

My wife was moved to Barnfield Care Home because of her need for nurse care. On arrival, which was one day later than planned, she could not be taken to her agreed room because the lift was not suitable. I was not happy. She was allocated a ground-floor room. I visited her the next day and was I surprised. The room was very good, clean, well fitted and I was amazed to see how she had adapted to her new home. The staff were welcoming and I was delighted. Well done Barnfield.

Mum is well looked after and always kept warm and safe. She is protected from falls which was previously a big problem. Although she is still underweight, she is encouraged to eat and various methods have been used to achieve this. The staff are very understanding about her own ways. The home is clean and a safe space. I find the home well-managed and can only congratulate the management.

Friendly. Always check on you, make sure you're ok and if you need anything. When down and really not coping too good, they're always there to listen and support you. Can't thank the manager and all the staff enough for all they do for me and others daily. Dinks are good, meals not so good.

I have been at this care home for eighteen months. In this time, I have been looked after with great care and respect from all the staff, both daytime and nighttime. The management have been very helpful if I had any concerns

Excellent! From my arrival, I was made to feel both welcome and safe. The staff have been wonderfully patient with me. I do wish to say how helpful they have been about me being 'ovo-lacto-vegertarian!' I am grateful to have somewhere safe to stay. A huge sincere thank you!

I'm really impressed by the care that Dad is receiving at Barnfield. The staff are lovely, and clearly think a lot of him from their interactions with him that I've witnessed, and he likes them very much as well. I think they have all done a sterling job during which has been a very difficult time due to Covid. I've been really impressed by the cleanliness when I've visited, and feel confident in the care that he is receiving. Thank you all so much.

Such lovely caring staff, very attentive. My dad was so looked after the staff and have been so helpful. 10/10

Over the last five years, I have visited my mother. She enjoys her time out with family and friends for lunch and trips to garden centres etc. In the past years, it has been upsetting to witness her distress and upset in returning to the care home, which on occasion has resulted in a display of difficult behaviour. Although I live away, I do get regular visit/wellbeing updates. I have been pleasantly surprised on this visit of her happiness and willingness on her return from lunch. My main concern is the overall smell (urine), although I know difficult, please deal with this.

My sister has bee a resident at Barnfield Care Home for the last 3/4 years. Initially, I was not keen to have my sister there. However, earlier this year the service has seen an exceptional upturn in the service that is now provided and my sister appears happy and settled. Everyone who cares for her is kind and compassionate and eagre for her to be involved in different activities!
