View Full Details of Bethel Bethesda Residential HomeBethel Bethesda is a rather unassuming looking home and is homely without the luxury decor of some of its competitors locally. However, I cannot really find adequate words to describe the absolutely exceptional level of care given to my mother at Bethel Bethesda. Every single person from management to carers and domestics have treated her with the utmost kindness and respect, going above and beyond our expectations in their standard of care. It is a family run business and it shows. Mum was previously in 2 other care homes and Bethel Bethesda has proved to be far superior to the others, a real home from home as opposed to a care facility. We are so very grateful to the Bethel Bethesda team for everything they have done not only for mum but for our entire family.
My 94-year-old mother was a resident at Bethel Bethesda Home Residential Home for seventeen months following a hospital admission and until her recent death. The home is a warm and welcoming place with a very homely atmosphere. It has been tastefully modernised over recent years and is maintained very well with high standards of safety, cleanliness and infection control. Most importantly, is the wonderful care and a fantastic staff team who provide excellent person-centred care at all times. Management and staff work really well as a team and all staff, whatever their roles, are professional and efficient, kind and caring. The home benefits from a weekly 'clinic' from the GP practice, which is an amazing service! This means that doctors can quickly respond to residents' changing health issues but in between emergencies or changes to medication can also be made promptly. District nurses also attend when needed. End-of-life care was exemplary and support to families was greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
Mum was only a resident for a few months before having to move to a nursing home. But we can not fault the care she received. The management and all the staff have a caring and compassionate approach and nothing is too much trouble. We were always greeted with a smile and the continuity of staff made it feel relaxed, friendly, and a happy place. As a family, we appreciate everything they have done for Mum and the fantastic help and support with Mum's onward journey. We felt relaxed knowing Mum was in a safe place and extremely well looked after and would highly recommend Bethal Bethesda Residential Home.
I am so grateful to the whole team at Bethel Bethesda Residential Home for the wonderful care they provided for the last couple of years of my dear mum's life. They go above and beyond to make sure that the residents are safe and well. There is always a positive and happy vibe and they often organise music, games and activities for the residents. Whenever I visited I felt completely at ease and reassured that Mum was receiving the best care possible. I live abroad so communication can sometimes prove difficult but they always kept me informed of any changes in Mum's health or anything else that I needed to know and were very understanding of my situation. I feel very comforted knowing that they were at Mum's side when she passed as I couldn't be there, I know she was in very good hands with them and that she was happy to call Bethel Bethesda her home.
My mum was admitted to Bethel after a stroke and spent several weeks in hospital. The care she received was exemplary. Sadly she passed away after only a few weeks but the staff kept my family updated on Mum's deteriorating condition regularly; towards the end often stayed over shift to ensure we were updated. Doctors were contacted as required and we were always informed. The manager and all staff involved in Mum's care were extremely caring and compassionate; at a very difficult time for us as a family. We felt reassured that Mum was getting the best care possible in her circumstances. We really felt that the staff went over and beyond in their dedication to making her last few days as comfortable and dignified as humanly possible. We will always be grateful for that.
My mother-in-law was admitted to the home after spending eight weeks in hospital. The information the manager was given on her needs were very limited, they were unaware that she was currently not weight bearing. Very quickly they carried out an assessment of her needs and completed a care plan, the family were involved in this. There was also a mental capacity assessment and deprivation of liberty carried out, again family were involved in this. It is clear that all staff treat her with respect and offer choices around all aspects of her daily living. Her bedroom is always clean and refreshments are always available. To avoid isolation my mother-in-law is always encouraged to participate in entertainment and access communal areas. Diet and fluids are always monitored and recorded, concerns are raised and acted on quickly. Medical professionals are contacted when required and the family informed of the visit and outcome. As a family, we feel she is safe and well looked after. Very well led home.
I've lived here for a few months now and I am very happy. Everyone is very caring, they're ever so good I can't fault them. Plenty of food and drink, which is varied. I have enjoyed the entertainment and activities since moving here.
