View Full Details of Hadrian HouseMy wife is very happy at Hadrian House. The staff are nice and look after her very well.
Staff and friendly and helpful. Toilets could be cleaned more often.
My wife has been in Hadrian House for about one year now and my family have found it to be a pleasant experience. The staff are all excellent, and any worries I have are dealt with straight away. All in all, it has made a difficult time for my family and I as pleasant as possible.
Care and support are good. Very attentive staff to residents' needs. Always someone to reassure the resident's relative if needed. Premises could do with an update as several areas in the building are looking very tired. Also, make the garden more appealing to the residents and visitors.
My sister was admitted to Hadrian House on the advice of social services. The staff and management made her very welcome and have shown care and consideration in her short time here. They also helped relieve the stress I have been experiencing throughout this whole process.
Mum has been a resident for approximately two years. She has been looked after well by the staff. She can be a little difficult at times due to her dementia, but the staff are patient with her and try to accommodate her needs. My concerns are that she does lose a lot of clothes I have provided. I'm not really sure if they get lost during laundry service. Accommodation is clean but is very tired and could do with a lick of paint.
Generally I feel my husband is looked after well, but find it difficult to find out information from staff about his health etc. Only learned about a fall he had, weeks later, and he told me he had blood taken, at first was told it hadn't happened, then weeks later again, learned it had happened. Need to be more open with the relatives. Facilities poor.
The carers who work at Hadrian House are wonderful as is the manager. They care and help the residents in every way, whether that be in their room or in public spaces and also make me so welcome to visit my mother at any time. The perfect place for my mother to be and to live at.
I find all the staff very helpful and considerate.
All staff are patient and understanding to the residents. All visitors are made to feel welcome in a friendly atmosphere. During the broken lift situation, they coped with added pressures put upon them. With thanks to all the staff and management.
What a wonderful setting. My grandad came to Hadrian House mid June for some respite care, and after seeing a massive improvement in him we made the decision to keep him there and he is now a permanent resident of Hadrian House. The staff go above and beyond, treat the residents with care and dignity. We are a large family and my Grandad receives several visitors a day- staff are always welcoming and happy to see you. Meals are lovely, facilities are lovely and we are just so pleased Grandad is happy. Residents are taken out on trips, and they have in-house areas such as a bar and hairdressers, which are wonderful. I myself work in a day nursery so I am aware of the importance of safeguarding and other policies and see this being followed well. I must make a special mention to one staff member, who has been exceptional. I have nothing bad to say about this setting, our experience so far has been great. Thank you Hadrian House.
My Grandad (94 years old) first went into Hadrian House for 2 weeks of respite in June 2023. We were extremely nervous as he had previously been into another home and we had a terrible experience so we had to take him out of the home due to poor care after one night. The care my grandad is receiving is amazing. All of the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. My grandad settled in extremely well, so much so he s now a permanent resident. I visit my grandad every day. I am extremely happy with the care that all the residents are receiving they are all treated like family members. Thanks for looking after my grandad. I will be forever grateful to you all.
Lovely, homely, caring all the staff are amazing. Making the decision to put my mum in her home was not an easy one but seeing her in the home was reassured us that we absolutely made the right choice! She loves it she looks healthy and well physically although her memory remains the same. Mum is better with regularity and continuity of care.
Hadrian House is like a real home from home for both my mum, who's been there for 18 months now, and for me on my weekly visits. Since Mum arrived she has thrived with the loving care she has been given. The nurses and carers see to her every need with a smile, a joke or a kiss and Mum loves the attention. For my part I'm often greeted with a drink after my long drive, then Mum and I enjoy a tasty lunch together. Mum and I couldn't be happier with her care.
I have visited Hadrian House about every two weeks for the last year and a half. I do this partly so I can personally check that my aunt is being properly cared for. So far I have never seen anything that would cause me concern. My aunt is always clean and tidy and properly fed. All of the staff seem both kind and diligent. Hadrian House itself always looks clean, tidy and well maintained. The only complaint my aunt has ever made is that she doesn't like the way they do her hair. So far my experience is that Hadrian House is about as good as it can be and better than some places I have seen that cost much more. They achieve a good standard with limited funding.
I cannot recommend Hadrian House highly enough. Our mother has blossomed since coming here a year ago. Testament to the care and engagement of the staff. Their affection is heartening to see. Bathed in natural light, the purpose built building is inviting and welcoming. The foot is plentiful and tasty. Excellent.
The staff are very good and a very good care home.
The first time I walked into Hadrian House I knew it was the perfect place for my mum. All the staff were caring, down to earth and very jolly. The residents are treated with respect and genuine affection. and there's a proper family feel to the place. I was particularly struck with the activities based around remembrance day which teased out memories from all the residents. Couldn't be happier.
Once the Covid rules were relaxed and the residents were allowed to use the Communal lounges again, my mother refused to leave her room except for bathroom breaks. Her eyesight had deteriorated quite quickly and she also has problems with her hearing at times, and she kept maintaining that she was alright where she was, in her room, where she knew where everything was. The staff were so good with her, keeping an eye on her and popping in for chats despite their considerable workload. They kept asking her would she like to go down to the lounge, to which she always replied no. The decision was always left to mum and her wishes were always respected. I was convinced she would never leave her room again. And then, there was a breakthrough. She not only went down to the lounge but also agreed to go outside for the Jubilee party. Since then she has been spending more and more time and has benefited from being in company. I cannot thank the staff enough for their patience and understanding.
Generally pretty good, lack of response when she presses her buzzer. Food is generally not suitable for dinners, she cannot eat chewy or hard food only caters to the majority of residents. no choice of vegetables that she liked. Tea is served over and over again if asked for anything different.
