View Full Details of Kibworth KnollMy father has been in care at Kibworth Knoll for just over three years. The staff are welcoming and caring; the surroundings are comfortable and the environment is friendly. I would recommend Kibworth Knoll without hesitation.
The team at the Knoll are dedicated and look after Mum really well. The family needed to find care quickly and we were lucky that the Knoll had space when we needed it. The team get on really well with Mum and are very attentive and aware of her needs. The Knoll is clean, tidy and well maintained.
Kibworth Knoll is a wonderful caring home. My friend has been a resident for 5 years now and both she and her sister receive excellent care. All the staff are friendly and treat residents as if they are their own family members. We have recommended Kibworth Knoll to a few friends.
My mum has been at Kibworth Knoll for 12 months now, and she looks well and is happy. She joins in activities, and chats with other residents and staff. All staff are helpful and caring, the home is clean and comfortable and I’m so pleased she is settled there.
A very good experience overall and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Mum has settled in well and enjoys the many and varied activities available. Any small issues that have arisen have been dealt with promptly.
Kibworth Knoll is a beautifully kept and maintained residential setting. Spotlessly clean and fresh in communal areas and bedroom. The staff, without exception, are helpful, cheerful, kind, caring and visible at every visit. The manager always takes my calls, responds quickly to any requests and questions. They have helped my loved one feel safe, settled and cared for. There are regular visits from local GP practice, podiatrist, weekly hairdresser visits and opticians. There are daily activities planned to choose to join in or not. Such a weight off my mind that she is well cared for in all respects. The meals are healthy, plenty of choices, freshly made and my loved one has put on much needed weight slowly and steadily since coming to live here. No concerns are dismissed. The nurses and other staff are able to give me good feedback each week. It is a relief, after a turbulent few months, that she has found 'home'. Thank you all.
My Aunt reached her 100th birthday in December 2019. The staff were extremely helpful and caring and we all arranged a really enjoyable birthday party for her. It has been a worrying time for all during the last four months when COVID-19 arrived. I have received regular updates from Kibworth Knoll for which I am extremely grateful. A lovely Care Home and I would recommend it to anyone.
Due to the effects of an initially life-threatening fall, which became life-changing, my sister and I were forced to find a safe and caring place of residence for our Mum to live. We found Kibworth Knoll. Initial impressions go a long way and from our first visit, everything seemed (and still is) just right. The staff are caring, the residence is clean, tidy, in good condition and always smells fresh and clean. 18 months later and our Mum is still very happy and contented living at Kibworth Knoll, and her little idiosyncrasies catered for. Prior to the Coronavirus, we visited our Mum regularly, and always, without exception, the staff that greeted you at the door, did so very politely and with a smile on their face; you really do get the impression that the staff enjoy working there. During the Coronavirus, we telephoned our Mum and never has it been too much trouble for the staff to find our Mum and hand over the telephone.
On my first visit to Kibworth Knoll, I knew straight away that it would be right for mum. A year later, that's how it has turned out. She is well cared for and supported and is gently encouraged to do as much as she can to keep able and be part of the community. The staff are kind, caring and supportive, the rooms are bright, comfortable and beautifully decorated, and there is a real feeling of 'home'. Mum says the food is very good (and she has always been a bit of a 'foodie'). The home has close links with local GPS for additional medical assistance if needed. During Covid-19 I have felt that mum is safe (thankfully, the home has been Covid-free) and definitely in the best possible place. I have confidence in staff and management to do an excellent job.
Our Aunt had to go into a home, she could no longer look after herself, she forgot to eat and take her medication, she lost weight and kept falling. Our Aunt went into the Knoll in December 2019 and we are amazed at how she has settled in, she has put on weight and loves the bacon and eggs for breakfast. She has made friends and is very settled. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, many thanks to the managers for always reassuring us whenever we have any questions. All the staff are amazing to the residents, so kind and caring. It really is a lovely place, everyone is happy, the staff treat the residents like they were their own family. Thank you so much.
My mother has been a resident at the Knoll for nearly 3 years. She is of sound mind and it was sad for her when she had to leave her beloved home after 55 years but the staff at the Knoll have been outstanding in their care for her and she now regards the Knoll as home and enjoys a very close relationship with many members of staff. All the caring staff work tirelessly to keep the residents happy and try their hardest to ensure that they are treated with respect and dignity. As a family, we have been very concerned during the COVID-19 about not being able to see her face to face on a regular basis but again, the staff have tried to ensure we have kept in touch with the aid of video calls, FaceTime etc and when we have spoken to mum she has been happy and grateful to them for everything they have done for her.
I am pleased to have the opportunity of writing a review for the Kibworth Knoll Care Home. Following several periods in hospital, it was apparent that my cousin could not return to live on her own and we needed to find a suitable home for her. As well as needing physical care and attention, her dementia was a great concern. We had received some recommendations for homes in this area and following a visit to view their accommodation and chat with the Manager we had no hesitation in reserving a room for our cousin. The home is absolutely spotless, beautifully furnished and all the staff are so friendly and caring. Her room is pleasantly furnished and overlooks the garden. We have noticed that since she has been a resident she looks so much better and chats more with us on the telephone. We are very confident that she is happy and settled. We are very grateful to the staff for their kindness and care.
My Mother has been at Kibworth Knoll since February 2018. The management and staff have been incredibly helpful and understanding since we first visited to assess whether or not it would be a suitable place for my Mother. I have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the home and the fact that there are no awful smells. The home is bright and spacious. The general rooms are very comfortable, and the garden is a lovely place for the residents to sit. The staff have looked after my Mother with dignity and great care and understanding and will ensure that if she requires a doctor or nurse that this is arranged. They also have hairdressers and a chiropodist which means that all her needs can be catered for in the home. The staff also let me know if there are any problems and will help to resolve any issues. My Mother enjoys living at the home. Her room is very comfortable and she says that the meals are very good. I would highly recommend the home.
My sister had to leave her home in Devon to be nearer to me when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. A totally traumatic thing for her but she has now been a resident for 6 months and has made lots of friends and thinks she is in a very good hotel. She is looking better than for years, loves the care she gets and for us as a family it is so reassuring that she is in the right place and being cared for by wonderful staff, even through the awful upheaval of Coronavirus. I would highly recommend Kibworth Knoll.
I have personally lived in Kibworth for over 15 years and walked passed the home frequently, never imagining what was behind the front door until needing a home for my mum. Believe me when I say it's lovely - in every way. It truly has a homely look and feel, and that's just first impressions. From then on it gets better; the staff are amazing, genuinely caring above and beyond what you would expect, they always have time for the little things that matter; everywhere is spotlessly clean and the residents are comfortable and happy; the individual rooms are pleasant and there are good, light, shared lounge areas which residents are encouraged to use throughout the day rather than staying in their rooms; meals are taken in a shared dining room and mum reports that the food is good, plentiful with choices at each mealtime. Above all, I feel reassured that mum is safe and I can't recommend Kibworth Knoll highly enough.
My mum has been a resident at Kibworth Knoll since March 2018. I have always found the staff very friendly and welcoming, and they relate well with the residents. Staff are attentive to both my mum's care and medical needs and involve other professionals such as Doctors, Dieticians, Optician, Dentist, Chiropodist as necessary. A resident's dignity is maintained at all times and personalised care needs are regularly reviewed and changed as necessary, with relatives being kept up to date. Activities for residents are well organised, and the home itself is always clean and maintained to a high standard, with furniture and fittings adding to give it a homely feel. The management team in the home are professional, very approachable and involved day to day with the residents. I would like to say a big thank you to the whole team of staff working at the Knoll for their wonderful care and kindness to my mum, and I would definitely recommend this Care Home to anyone.
We couldn't have found a better place for my mother in what turned out to be her last few months. The staff were wonderful and couldn't have done more. My mother was treated with complete dignity and respect and appreciated the caring friendliness of the staff. She loved the food. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kibworth Knoll.
Dad was very happy in Kibworth Knoll. He built up friendships with other residents and with the wonderful care team. He was looked after extremely well with care, kindness and was treated with dignity. The home was always clean and cared for. He had a lovely room and there was always a warm welcome for family and visitors. Dad enjoyed the activities and the special occasions organised for family and friends to join in.
My aunt and uncle moved into the home in 2011 and they were able to share a room together. Following my aunt passing away, my uncle was provided with a lot of emotional care and support to help him overcome his loss. My uncle has received a good standard and care and he has been allowed to retain his independence whilst being cared and supported when required. The home has reassured us with any concerns we have had all members and staff could not have been more caring.
My father was at Kibworth Knoll for 2 and a half years and was so well looked after. He called it "home". The staff were so lovely to him and he was well cared for. He was very happy there and so our family were also very happy. It is like a 5-star hotel. Lovely place, good food and wonderful staff.
