View Full Details of Kibworth CourtUnfortunately, my mum passed away at the end of January having lived at the home for nearly 2 years. Her deterioration was quite sudden and my family and I were unprepared for it. The manager and her team were fantastic, the compassion they showed us as a family and the care they took looking after Mum in her final days is something I will always be grateful for. Mum was treated with dignity and respect as was I, they looked after me while I sat with Mum answering any questions I asked, kept me topped up with coffee, tea, sandwiches and cake. Thank you so much, the manager and your team, simply the best.
My parents both lived in Kibworth Court this year and both were in their 90’s. As a married couple they were always treated with total respect and extreme kindness. The staff could not have been more caring or diligent in looking after them. I can only thank them, and commend the manager for the standards of service she and her team deliver. Simply outstanding. Thank you.
Our mum has just celebrated her 80th birthday at Kibworth Court. The staff are fantastic, nothing ever is too much trouble. They laid on a wonderful afternoon tea for us all. Mum always feels safe and secure at Kibworth, an amazing place with amazing staff.
Mum and Dad have been made to feel very welcome and are treated with dignity. I feel that the staff have made an effort to get to know them personally. The home is always busy so occasionally calls for assistance can take a while to follow up. The staff have made efforts to set up Mum and Dad's room to their liking with safety also in mind. We are very reassured that they are receiving very good care from the care staff. On Mothering Sunday a special tea was laid on with entertainment from two of the staff which lifted the whole atmosphere.
Beautiful homely home, with fabulous, caring engaging and diligent staff. Looks nice, smells nice, feels nice. Welcoming to visitors so that you feel part of the family too. My mother suffers with dementia which is now in the later stages. She has settled so very quickly and is clearly happy. Our whole family feels supported at this very difficult time by this care home. The facility itself has many lovely light bright areas where residents and visitors can spend time together and there is so much for residents and visitors to do together. I really cannot find a negative. Just a sincere thank you for being such a rock and providing such a high level of service.
All round, first rate, excellent staff and facilities - certainly go the extra mile! Theme events held, which are a lively experience.
The standard of care that the members of staff give to all the residents in their care is excellent. The activities they provide for the residents is varied from singing groups to craft groups and trips out. The ladies in their care can enjoy having their nails and hair done all in the comfort of their care home.
Key advantage of Kibworth Court is peace of mind. You are sure that your loved one is being cared for around the clock in the best possible way. The staff are always trying to keep the elderly patients occupied with dancing, making hats or exercise to name just a few of the activities. They are looking after as though they are family. We wanted to buy our relative a Birthday cake and they said not to bother as they had her special day in hand with a cake and a cake and a Birthday party. She loved it. Thank you, to all the staff for making such a difference to my aunts quality of life.
The standard of the care home is excellent. Care exceptional and staff very tolerant. Rooms are excellent and cleaned daily. Food superb if you are able to eat. Wish I could have my lunch there. Very safe environment and no escapees. Would definitely recommend. All staff very friendly and helpful.
The overall care service provided was excellent. The home was clean, tidy and hygienic, with good communal space and ambience. The staff were happy, professional, caring, considerate and dedicated. The daily activities keep both residents and staff engaged and happy with all festivals celebrated to the fullest. Food was great. We could not fault the care and would wholeheartedly recommend to others.
My mother is 94 years old and has been a happy resident of Kibworth since April 2022. She has vascular dementia and is fiercely independent but a sweetie at heart. The manager and her team give her exceptional care and keep a very close eye on her - hydration and food intake - as well as her practical needs. GP v local, weekly GP/Nurse visits, all medical issues are closely monitored. I am very reassured that Mummy is safe and well cared for by every single member of staff who are always helpful, kind, respectful, patient and gentle. On arrival - an open pleasing environment with residents calm/being attended to in the sitting rooms. There may be music gently playing, a resident on the piano or another singing - not at the same time! Activities are always on the go - Halloween decorations inside/outside were amazing with residents having helped to create them. A great atmosphere with lots of laughter.
My mother stayed at the home for 3 and a half years, including through all of the lockdowns, when access was difficult. I had always thought the home was very well managed, but it was only towards the end, when I had spent such a long time there that I really appreciate the kindness, patience and dedication of the staff. I would have no reservations of any family member, no matter how challenging being cared for at this home.
The staff are always very helpful and friendly. My cousin was well looked after and was content in the home.
My mum was admitted to Kibworth Court mid September 2020 in the first waves of Covid. She was diagnosed with vascular dementia had macula degeneration and deafness and was very frail. Immediately the manager and her team made Mum feel welcome and ensured that she was supported whilst she made friends. Lockdown made visits to see my mum impossible but the staff enabled telephone or video-based visits throughout. When regulations were relaxed, the staff welcomed family’s back to engage in more traditional visits and supported residents, like my mum, who couldn’t understand why she was being cared for and why the covid virus meant that physical contact wasn’t possible. Throughout Mum's time in the care home, the team ensured that residents had stimulating things to do and I was able to view photographs of activities that Mum was cheerfully engaged with. Mum passed before Christmas and the care provided to Mum continued with their support to me. I would recommend this care home.
My mum sadly passed away at the end of August. She has had a happy time in Kibworth Court, where her care has been excellent. Her palliative care was superb, and I trusted Mum with the great staff who gave her kind, intuitive and professional support to the end. I cannot speak highly enough of everything they did. What a wonderful team and home. I'm grateful.
My mum is living at Kibworth Court, the staff and management team go above and beyond to ensure my mum is well looked after and happy! All the staff meet all of Mum's needs and treat her with the utmost dignity and respect and I couldn’t be any happier to recommend this care home. The activities are always brilliant and the residents always look so happy and well looked after. During this pandemic the home have been amazing and the staff are always so jolly and always happy to help and answer any questions I may have. The management team really are amazing, the support they are giving not only their staff and their residents but the families of all the residents! They really are incredible!
My mother was only at Kibworth Court since the end of February. She was at a previous care home for 7 years having been diagnosed with vascular dementia. Carers at that home could not be faulted but continued frustration with Management resulted in myself and brothers finding an alternative home. On visiting Kibworth Court I found the Manager and her senior assistant very pleasant, informative and honest. The atmosphere there was very friendly and the residents all looked content. Some residents when asked how they liked the care home gave the thumbs up. Some of the rooms had been set up with a theme. One set up like a pub bar and easy chairs. Management and carers alike interact with the residents. My mother's room was excellent and looked out onto a lovely garden. Her care was excellent and praise the home on all fronts and how they have coped with Covid-19 with no cases. Sadly my mother passed away recently. One regret is that I did not move her before. Recommend any time.
I moved my lovely Mother here at the beginning of March 2020, I wish I had moved her here many years earlier. Everyone here works for the team and their residents. The whole place is as a care home should be, a home. Everywhere you turn there is something to stimulate and to give a happy vibe. The staff are brilliant and it is clear to see that they love their residents. I cannot recommend Kibworth Court enough, sadly I write this as Mum has passed away, her end of life care was second to none. Thank you for taking Mum and looking after her during these unprecedented times. All our family appreciate everything that you did for her. Thanks again and stay safe.
My mum always, but always, says how lovely all the staff are at Kibworth Court. But it is not just the attitude which makes Kibworth Court special it is also their caring and professional approach. Last week my mum had a fall, she was dealt with promptly and the initial diagnosis to call paramedics, as she may have broken her hip was correct. At 95 a trip to the hospital is not what you want, less still an emergency hip replacement. Nevertheless, she was well cared for on the Ward and was discharged Covid free back to Kibworth Court on Tuesday. The manager allowed us a short visit in the circumstances wearing full PPE and Mum was delighted. I cannot thank the Kibworth Court staff enough for their treatment of Mum. I also want to say that the early lockdown of Kibworth Court was probably a 'lifesaver' for some residents and a brilliant early decision back in March if only our government had been this decisive and forward-thinking. Thank you, thank you!
My mother passed away recently after a short illness and spent the last two years of her life at Kibworth Court. From the moment she arrived there she was made to feel welcome and throughout her time there all the staff did their utmost to make her feel at home. The staff have been kind and caring throughout and I know my Mum felt both loved and respected. Her needs changed as her health deteriorated, but the management and staff have a very can-do attitude and adapted readily to her increasing care needs. They have also been extremely open to discussion and comment from myself and other relatives, and to respond accordingly. The food is very good, the rooms spacious and the management are always looking to upgrade and alter the decor and surroundings to provide extra interest and stimulation - but the main strength of the home is its people, who are simply wonderful. Overall, I feel lucky that my mother was so well cared for in her later years. Thank you.
