From the very first time we stepped foot into The Lawns it was very evident that this was no ordinary residential home. The Lanws was our number one choice for my mother-in-law. The staff are professional and caring individuals lead from the top. A wonderful place for my mother-in-law.
My mother became a resident of The Lawns Care Home in January 2018 following a sudden decline in health and I expected her to live for six months at best. Due to the superb care provided by everyone at The Lawns, my mother was able to have 7 more years of a meaningful and enjoyable life. I cannot thank everyone enough for their dedication to care. The Lawns is a vibrant place with a variety of daily activities which keep residents mentally and physically engaged and active. The residents are treated like they are part of a family and it does not feel like a care home. The restaurant looks and feels like a restaurant. The Lawns is a happy place and there is always laughter and happiness in the air. Knowing my Mother was being so well cared for, allowed me to get on with my life, without constantly worrying and my wife and I were always welcomed as part of the family when we visited. I will be forever grateful to everyone at the Lawns.
My mum has lived at The Lawns for nearly 3 years. After some initial issues related to COVID restrictions, she settled in well. The home has a lovely atmosphere and feels more like a nice hotel. The management and staff are very friendly, helpful and co-operative. The activities programme is very comprehensive but with no pressure to take part. Food and drink are good quality and nicely presented in the attractive restaurant. Fees aren't particularly cheap, but you get what you pay for i.e.: a lovely well run home.
Staff are fantastic and couldn't have been more caring and supportive. Really lovely great place would really recommend it. Staff always friendly and look after my dad so well, we really couldn't be more grateful.
We moved my late father to The Lawns following an awful few months stay in another home funded by the council! The Lawns provided my dad with wonderful care and support throughout his short stay before he sadly passed. All the staff from managers, senior care staff, down to the housekeeping team were fantastic. Not living locally meant I only managed to visit every few weeks. I was always kept informed on how my dad was doing and any concerns etc. On the times we did come to visit, our dogs were also welcome in the home, which my dad loved. The home was always clean, the food was great, and I couldn't fault it. They were even happy for us to bring my dad's own TV, which we have donated to the home.
Would just like to say what a warm and welcoming home The Lawns is. Every time you visit there's a warm welcome. The staff are patient and caring to Mum and easily approachable by yourself if there's a query or concern. I was tearful recently on leaving Mum and one of the staff took the time to speak to me, ensure I was okay and gave words of advice. They are also always on hand and chatty with Mum.
When I assessed The Lawns for my stepfather's stay I was very impressed. Everything clean, no smells, helpful and friendly staff. This was confirmed by a family friend who knows this industry. She dropped off my stepfather and looked around. She couldn't find any issues and praised me on my choice. I would recommend The Lawns very highly. All staff were great.
I visited six homes before deciding on this one. I have not been disappointed, I feel very comfortable knowing Mum is being looked after well. There are occasional issues but they are dealt with efficiently and effectively. Overall Mum is happy and so am I. Just some improvements too.
The people are friendly, residents and staff, big and spacious, I don't feel cluttered, food is ok, on the whole the care is very good.
My mother first entered The Lawns for respite care after a nasty fall at home in November 2023. She was warmly welcomed by every member of staff and treated with care and compassion while recovering from a broken shoulder. Such was the care and ambience o the home, we encouraged her to stay permanently for a richer quality of life for her last years. The home is like family, residents, carers and visitors come together to provide a safe, warm, rich environment for all. Who could ask for more!
I've been visiting The Lawns now for over a year, when a relative of mine was a resident, and while I was visiting I got to know most of the residents in care there. I go in most weeks now to have a chat with them, it's a lovely home and the staff make me feel so welcome. I've visited a few care homes in the past but The Lawns is the best I've visited, I can't fault it, if ever I need to go into care that's where I would like to be.
I am very happy with the facilities and care provided at The Lawns Care Home. The staff are very helpful, approachable and obviously ok with the condition of our friend who is a resident here. Any suggestion or enquiry I have made has always been dealt with promptly. The manager has been very helpful indeed in facilitating a recent change of room.
My aunt is very happy in this home because of the caring staff, the comfortable environment, the delicious food, the enjoyable activity programme and the friendly company.
I enjoy living here. The staff and food is good.
Excellent food and the staff and facilities are good.
My mother was in the care home for over two years before she died aged 100. During this time the care home were excellent in all aspects of care. The entertainment supplied was regular and of a good, varied and of a high quality. The food was top-class and catered for individual needs. The staff from the manager to the care staff could not be faulted for giving a top-class service. I would fully recommend this home to anyone considering it for a loved one.
My mum moved into The Lawns in 2020, she settled in very quickly, thanks to the staff getting to know Mum quickly, her eating habits, her favourite foods, her routines which help keep Mum calm, and singing to Mum when agitated. I witnessed on many occasions many small acts of kindness that made Mum's last three years the best they could be, a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, a thoughtful compliment. I will always be grateful that Mum shared her last days with The Lawns staff.
The staff at The Lawns are fantastic. My mother who turned 106 years old yesterday was given a marvellous day. Thank you to you all.
I would highly recommend The Lawns Care Home. The staff and the care they provide is excellent. The food is great and varied. The home is warm and welcoming and my dad is very happy here.
