Lingdale, East Goscote, Leicester, LE7 3XW
View Full Details of Lingdale LodgeWell where do I start. From when my mum went in until she left, I and other members of my family and a friend noticed things that was going on there and one of the staff told me what they did to one of the residents that was constipated and I heard one of the staff scream at one of the residents when they took him to the toilet. It is dirty and out of date. The manager/and deputy manager and one of the supervisors would do anything to cover their own back. They treated my mum with little respect there were many times she had bruises. She left with bedsores and when they used the transfer equipment, they never put the brakes on and half of the residents were not on pressure cushions. The new care home couldn't believe how she came to them. They are putting in a safeguard on this care home. Please if you are reading this don't let any of your family go there.
Terrible care home, from unexplained bruises to loosing resident's belongings. If you try to talk to the staff about problems they just shrug their shoulders. The management are aggressive and standoffish. We had to get the police involved about bruising so they served my mother in law with 28 days notice to leave, which we still have no explanation for, totally against the law but we could not let her stay there any longer. The new care home have found many pressure sores on her and reported this putting in a safeguard against them. They need investigating.
My husband was here from August to December 2024. My husband had vascular dementia and cancer. I cannot fault the love, care and respect he received from the managers and care staff (givers). Their thoughtfulness both to him and his relatives was second to none.
To be honest we found the staff to have an unfriendly attitude. They didn't even wish her well or say goodbye when she left. Mum had a terrible two weeks at Lingdale. In fact she was so unhappy we were worried she had given up. The only good thing to say was they did some activities with them, but whenever I visited she and everyone else were slumped in their chairs asleep and three carers sat in the middle of the lounge doing very little. Tutting when mum asked to go to the toilet. She looked unkempt it was an awful experience. The rooms were dirty and shabby and the whole place was in need of refurbishment. It cost £950 a week. They should be ashamed of themselves to think the care and conditions they offer are acceptable. What a disgrace!
