View Full Details of Woodmarket HouseThe home looked after my wife for respite care. I couldn't ask for more. The staff care and nothing is too much, they are friendly and professional and are a credit to this home. Thank you so much.
I would like to thank all the staff for their excellent care for my husband over the past few years. They worked extremely hard through Covid to provide the best care possible. Families are encouraged to get involved and maintain a relationship, which I have appreciated a lot.
I've found the staff very friendly and helpful during the time my sister has been a resident at the home. They have kept me informed in every aspect of her time here.
We needed urgent respite care for my mother-in-law, and after ringing lots of care homes where none were helpful because it was the weekend, the assistant manager at Woomarket House was amazing and made it possible for us to get my mother-in-law the care she needed on the same day. All of the staff have been very helpful and friendly and take great care of the residents. After three weeks of care, my mother-in-law got upset when she had to leave the staff to finally go home.
Woodmarket House is first-class. Our mum has been here for three years. She is treated with dignity and has the very best care. The management and care staff are kind and compassionate, and Mum is happy here. We cannot thank everyone or recommend them highly enough.
My father was placed for a week's respite and displayed some challenging behaviour. The staff worked through the awkwardness and managed to settle him. From the manager down, I was kept informed about events and the involvement of outside agencies and partners - I cannot speak highly enough of this care home and its staff. Many thanks from our family.
Dad's health has improved during his time here. He does not want to be anywhere else. Staff keep me well informed, eg following doctor visits. The home is very clean. Staff are very friendly and caring, despite their busy schedules. The level of activities could be improved for the benefit of residents. Positive to see renovation work taking place and changes introduces by the new management team.
The care and support my dad received during his stay were good and the staff got to know him well. They cared for him as an individual and nothing was too much trouble for them. The building could do with some TLC, but how the building looks didn't affect the care my dad was given.
My sister was a resident at Woodmarket House from the 22nd of October 2020 until March of this year. We are pleased, as a family, to say that the overall treatment of my sister was of a very good standard and the staff could not have been more helpful to her and ourselves and kept me informed of all eventualities. The support given the last few weeks and her last days were exceptional! I cannot thank them enough from her and myself. I would also like to praise them all for keeping her safe from Covid on both occasions it was present in the home.
The staff at Woodmarket are amazing! They made the transition for not only my dad but for the whole family a positive experience. They truly care for their residents and know them all individually, going that extra mile to ensure they are safe, secure and entertained respectively. I cannot praise them enough. The only point I feel needs to be made is that the building, rooms and grounds are desperately needing investments and improvements made. The staff work hard and are wonderful but investing in the building and grounds would benefit all.
Wonderful care from kind and compassionate staff. Owners need to invest in the grounds and rooms.
Since Covid and the extreme pressures for staff and residents, they have done so well in coping with all the challenges. My mum is very happy there and settled - they are quick to respond to any of her needs. They have been brilliant and although exhausted from the extra things they have had to do, they still have a smile and time for not only our loved ones but for us as well. To see Mum's smiling face says it all.
Staff are so friendly and supportive to my mother. They keep me informed always of anything that may occur.
My parents came to Woodmarket originally for respite care as it was evident they could not continue living on their own, as they needed a lot of help and assistance with daily chores. The aim was to get them an assisted living place locally but unfortunately, both of their needs for help and assistance were more than could be provided. It was a difficult decision but with their agreement, Woodmarket became their home unfortunately ongoing ill health took its toll on both of them, and unfortunately my mother passed away earlier this year. My father now needs almost one to one care and the staff are absolutely wonderful and engaging with him. There are a number of staff who have an excellent care relationship with him and remember how he was when he originally went in for respite care. The warmth of care and compassion shown to dad is reassuring for us knowing that he is in the best place for his own health and safety.
Friendly staff, mother content, her health is better since joining the home.
Mom is very settled here. She particularly likes the food and feels well supported by staff. For my part, I am very happy with the help and communication that I receive.
My mum has been at Woodmarket House for just over 1 year. I have found the staff very caring and always treated her with dignity and respect. I'm always made to feel welcome whenever I visit and am always kept informed of mum's wellbeing.
My auntie's Alzheimer condition became extremely challenging once she had to leave her own home to be cared for 24/7. This presented challenges to all who cared for her and a massive learning curve to me on the presentation of dementia in someone you love and have cared for. I thank all the staff for their patience and care coming through this difficult time and still keep giving to all the residents.
My Mum has been at Woodmarket since November 2018. She has settled in extremely well. She repeatedly tells me that she likes living at Woodmarket. She has no concerns and states that the staff are extremely friendly and if she has a problem they are always willing and happy to help her. Further to this, it is a huge relief to know that mum is happy and being cared for in a safe and friendly environment.
Woodmarket House is a very welcoming home. It always has a nice fresh smell and is extremely clean. The staff are wonderful, very caring and kind. Mum has been here for ten months and is very settled. The meals are good and staff help with residents who have difficulties.
