View Full Details of Arbor HouseI cannot praise the care home highly enough. Mum was at Arbor House from September 2021 to when she passed away a couple of weeks ago. She was happy, contented, calm and dignified throughout her stay and she was looked after wonderfully. When her time came, the staff were so kind and thoughtful and genuinely moved by her passing. It was so touching and so typical of the care Mum received. She was always clean, happy, well-fed, well looked after and the staff really, really cared about her and wanted the very best for her. The manager was always so helpful and welcoming and was a tower of strength at such a difficult time. I can look back at Mum's time at Arbor House with joy and know that she was settled, happy and content - we could not have wished for a better place for Mum and cannot recommend the home highly enough. Thank you to everyone at Arbor House for your outstanding care.
I Would like to leave a review of the lovely care my mum received at Arbor House Leicester. Mum passed away at Arbor house at the beginning of April, the care my mum and I received was second to none, it’s hard to put into words how good they were. They looked after her for 2 years, in that time mum was happy safe spotlessly clean and well fed, my family and myself are very grateful for all they did for mum, all the staff were so kind and caring. Thank you so much.
My aunt was a temporary resident at Arbor House Care Home from October 2023 to December 2023. During her stay she received excellent care from the care team, the catering staff, and the admin team, under the very capable supervision of the home manager. The staff were very attentive, working hard to get my Aunt's extremely high blood sugar levels under control, liaising daily with the GP, and community nurses. The staff also ensured that her diet was tailored to her specific needs, and I was kept regularly updated and informed of all relevant issues, both by phone and verbally during my visits. On my aunt's behalf, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for her care during her stay at Arbor House and say 'thank you very much' to every individual involved in looking after her. Her care was second to none, and the manager is an excellent home manager who shows diligent consideration for both her staff and the residents.
My mum has been in the care of this wonderful home for over four years As she moves into the latter stages of Alzheimer’s and requires more care and attention I couldn’t ask for more from the staff at Arbor House under the management of a particular member of staff. They are always cheerful and welcoming and the home is kept spotless and clean. In this era of diminishing NHS services, it’s a comfort that a doctor visits every week and medical treatment is always speedily administered. Thank you everyone for your care and compassion.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank the manager and all the staff involved in the prompt and life-saving care given to my mum. Without the combined effort of all the staff, Mum would not be alive today. On behalf of myself, my brother and the rest of my mum’s family, thank you so very much. Your actions were brilliant and have continued to be so since Mum returned from hospital. Thank you all.
My mother has now been a resident at Abour House for the past 12 months, and after an initial settling-in period, she is now thriving at Abour House. We have always found the care home to be very welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and caring.
My mother has been living in Arbor House for several years now. Having visited half a dozen or so different homes, Arbor House was clearly the best option for her for a variety of reasons. And nothing has occurred since for me to question that judgment. The home appears to have a “happy” calm atmosphere, and that must be due to the wonderful staff led by the manager. The staff are warm, patient, obliging, friendly and caring to residents and visitors alike. But the home is also professional and efficient; the building is always clean and well-maintained. The communication with resident’s families is very good. Arbor House itself is situated in a nice, quiet and peaceful setting. The bedrooms are pleasant and functional, and there are plenty of spacious communal rooms for residents to relax and meet their family and friends. Most importantly, the residents appear to be in a safe environment. I hope my mother will be able to continue living in Arbor House for the foreseeable future.
My nana was a resident at Arbor House for nearly 5 years. Sadly, she passed away on Sunday 30th April, aged 98. I cannot speak highly enough of the care that the manager and the team provided to my lovely Nana. They always showed her so much love and attention and she always had a smile on her face. Seeing the way that the staff interacted with her, melted my heart. Also the support that you gave to my family and I when my nana was ill, was fantastic. Thank you for making her as comfortable as you did, throughout her time with you. You were never phased when she was awkward, you always just laughed and looked after her, as if she was related to you all! My nan loved each and everyone of you. We are devastated that she has left us but can rest easy knowing that she was in your expert hands, and loved by you all. I will miss seeing you all on my visits. Eternal thanks to you all, keep up the excellent work, love always.
Though our step mum was at the home for a short time, she settled in well. We would like to thank all staff for the wonderful care given to our step mum. Our step mum would always tell us about a member of staff who she called smiler. Thanks again for all the dedicated care.
The manager is amazing. There is a very definite feeling of well-being and fun at Arbor House, as well as being professional and on the ball. My mum has been here for only a couple of months, but she settled in very quickly and is happy and safe. The first day we went, the residents in the dining room were singing 'why are we waiting', and the staff were laughing with the residents. One of the carers was dancing and singing. There were several tables, all with different colourful tablecloths on. As soon as you walk in, you spot the vibrant-coloured walls. Apparently, people with dementia like bright colours, so each room is decorated with a different theme but colourful, homely and spotlessly clean... lots of flowers around the place and marvellous Christmas decorations. There are pressure mats so that an alarm goes off to the staff when someone gets out of bed at night. We looked at an awful home, and this is a shining star by comparison. I feel relieved that Mum is being really looked after.
No amount of words could ever express our appreciation and gratitude to you. Thank you for all that you did for our Mum for the care, support and kindness you gave to her during her stay with you, it meant so very much to us. "You are very special people". We will always treasure the time Mum spent there with you. Thank you for your wonderful care.
Mum has been at Arbor House since the beginning of August. She struggled to settle in the first couple of weeks but the care staff were amazing with her. Patient, understanding and very caring which has resulted in mum being so much more settled now. Every member of the care team I've interacted with has been helpful, compassionate and so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they always have a warm friendly welcome for me. It's clean, tidy as well as bright and cheerfully decorated. They are an amazing team.
My Mum has just had 2 weeks respite care in Arbor House. The home itself was clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The Manager and staff went above and beyond, doing all they could to care for all of my Mum's needs while she was there. I can't thank them enough for their dedication and hard work. I just wish she would have stayed a little longer because I'm sure her health issues would have improved.
My mum has been a resident at Arbor House for just over a month now after being diagnosed with dementia. The care she has received whilst being there has been second to none. I’m always greeted with a smile & made to feel welcome, it’s like visiting my mum in her own home. All staff go way beyond their duties to make my mum feel safe & happy, the manager is very hands on with all care of the residents. I cannot praise every single one of them enough.
Mum has been a resident of Arbor House for over 5 years and she has always been very happy there. She tells me that the staff are friendly and that the food is good. Since becoming a resident she has received prompt medical treatment when needed and the staff have always kept our family well informed about any issues regarding her health and well-being. When visiting I have often seen staff deal with residents' concerns and needs positively, encouraging them with compassion and gentle humour which I know my own mother appreciates. When visiting, our family have always been made to feel welcome by management and staff alike. We very much appreciate the good care received by mum especially over the past couple of years when it has been very difficult for everybody.
My mum started with respite care in September 2021 at Arbor House and then became a full-time resident. Mum was hesitant about going into a care home but the staff are so wonderfully caring that Mum now loves living there. She has settled well and enjoys having a sing-song with the other residents. I know it must have been immensely difficult for the staff during the Covid-19 pandemic and I am immensely grateful that they kept Mum safe during this time. The home is spotless and Mum says the food is excellent. The only improvement I would like to see at Arbor House is an activities co-ordinator so that the residents are encouraged to partake in different activities to stimulate their physical and mental well-being.
Very pleased with the way care as well as precautions re covid have been handled by both the home and its staff since my uncle entered the home for palliative care in January 2021. My aunt’s well-being since has very much improved and her stress levels equally reduced. I’ve experienced no issues giving rise for concern whatsoever.
Good care package, attentive staff, friendly, helpful and reassuring. Clean, decent meals, easy to book visiting appointments. Covid secure, safe environment. My mother seems happy and well-looked after and monitored with good feedback and communication.
My brother has been at Arbor House since July 21. He has got Alzheimer's. I will say he has not been the easiest resident for them to manage but I feel that they are doing a good job with him. They are always able to answer my questions when I call. It has been a difficult time for us all but their care and compassion is brilliant. It is not easy for any family to see their family member going through what our brother is but when you know he is being cared for by caring people it does take some of the weight off your shoulders.
My mother has been a resident for over 3 years. She has been provided with excellent care and sees Arbor House as her home. I have no concerns about my mother's daily needs being met and feel confident that she is well looked after and happy. Staff are always friendly and caring. Better video/facetime call opportunities would have been appreciated during the Covid restrictions.
