Thank you to all the staff for ensuring everyone had a great day for the King's Coronation, there was a lovely atmosphere and you could tell everyone had gone above and beyond to ensure everyone had fun and lots of food at the party, the hats and flags etc helped to create a great atmosphere. The team clearly work really hard and ensure everyone is catered for and looked after x well done everyone
I feel relieved and reassured that my uncle has a place here. I am kept well informed about how he is doing and when there are any issues, such as his having a fall or needing medical attention, the staff are great at keeping me up to date with the situation. When I visited my uncle, I could see he was feeling calm and happy to be here. He is much less anxious (than when he was living alone) and is benefiting from the company of others. The staff show real interest in the residents and I could see there is an ethos of sensitivity and care.
Moved in, in January 2023. To date, the staff have been really good, friendly and attentive. The assessment on day one makes sure you have all the services fit for your needs. As a wheelchair user, I have a room big enough that allows me to move around with ease. Facilities include everything from cleaning and laundry to meal service. There is also always someone to help getting to and from the shower, and communal areas, as well as getting to doctors and hospital appointments off-site. The care home also arranges for hairdressers, chiropodists and other general self-care activities. Key to my experience is an on-site doctor who visits every week and has quickly become familiar with my medical history, they also arrange all required prescriptions and deliveries from the local pharmacy. I would definitely recommend this care home to those requiring this kind of support.
The staff are excellent and very helpful and caring.
I think the managers at the care home are excellent. I know my mum is well looked after and if she falls or she gets seriously unwell there is someone there for her. The managers will keep me informed which I appreciate very much. Knowing my mum is not living on her own and is in a safe place and with other people is very reassuring to us. The seating area in the lounge is better now than when we first visited Mum to sit with her, it used to look like a doctor's waiting room.
I'm so pleased my dad is here, they are so reliable and caring to the patients they assist so hard, I don't know how they do it, I take my hat off to you all. I don't need to complain at all. Thanks so much, it's so clean, the meals are lovely and his room is cute.
The care home on first impression is very clean whether it be in the living, dining room or my family member's room. The staff are always very polite, caring, considerate and listen if and when there are issues. Issues are always addressed and I am very reassured and happy that the care given to my family member is safe, secure, clean and dignified. Thank you for everything, each and every member of staff looking after my family member.
My partner has been in Clarendon Mews for five years and in all that time he has been treated with the utmost care and consideration. To begin with, he was able to be involved with the residents but as the years have gone on he is more reclusive and the staff are very good at motivating him. If anything happens, like a fall or an incident, the staff will contact me and tell me what has happened.
My father-in-law has been with Clarendon Mews Care Home for the past three years and we have nothing but praise, thanks and gratitude for the team. The facilities are excellent, communication is outstanding, the food, the staff and the added extras are all of a high standard. They have dealt with the recent pandemic very well, facilitating visits virtually and taking great care and attention to cleanliness, hygiene and the care of residents. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a specialist facility where you never need to worry.
I have had limited opportunities to visit since the onset of the Covid emergency and, when doing so, have not had access to the full range of facilities or, indeed, extensive contact with staff. However, my relative has been in residence for a good number of years and, during this time, I have always been more than happy with the standard of care received and have been consistently impressed by the commitment and hard work of the staff.
Since my dad moved to Clarendon Mews back in January 2020 he seems so much happier than when he did at home. Being surrounded by lovely people making him feel comfortable has definitely given him a better quality of life. The staff are brilliant and often send me videos and photos of Dad enjoying the activities they have in place, such as the blues brothers night and the on the beach during the warmer weather. Couldn’t be happier with the way the staff are with Dad.
Absolutely amazing carers at this care home, I always know my mum is being very well looked after. The summer house that was built due to Covid has made it so easy to visit my mum and still feel safe.
Mum has been a resident at Clarendon Mews since November 2019. Due to her Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia diagnosis, Mum’s behaviour is not always the easiest to deal with and the staff here have coped admirably since she was admitted. Over the last twelve months, she had Covid-19 and was extremely ill which meant that she stopped eating for several months and lost a great deal of weight. The staff were really good at persuading her to eat little bits, encouraging her to have the fortified drinks she needed and after many weeks of perseverance she gradually started to eat again. Their kindness and support has helped her regain weight and return to her usual feisty self, which at nearly 94 years of age is a great achievement. Thank you.
My mother has been a full-time resident at Clarendon Mews now for 3 years and in that time we have built really good relationships with all of the carers and members of staff we have had contact with that look after her. We have never had any concerns for her care and trust the staff. They have always been very kind, compassionate and welcoming to my mother and our family as a whole.
My relative has lived at Clarendon Mews since 2015, she has Alzheimer's which has progressed to needing more one to one care as the years have gone by. The staff know her needs and her personality very well. They treat her with care and respect her dignity and genuinely care about her and her needs. Over lockdown, I was able to keep in regular contact with video calls. Since visits have been able to restart I have visited my relative on a regular basis in the summer house. The staff at the home are valued by myself and my family. The love they have for my relative helps me to feel reassured that she is well cared for. The management staff and director always listen to any concerns I may have and act to reassure and rectify anything that may need amending or changing, and I feel I have a good relationship with them.
My family member has been living in Clarendon Mews for over two years. He developed Alzheimer's at an early age and had challenging behaviours. The home treat him as family, with dignity and respect. In the early stages of his illness the staff stimulated and motivated him to be involved in activities and he was included in events, taken out on trips and received one to one care and support. In his later stages of his illness they continue to make his stay comfortable and provide a safe and friendly environment. During the pandemic we were kept informed and although unable to visit, the home was always happy for us to make telephone FaceTime contact. I highly rate Clarendon Mews and their staff for their dedication and level of support for what must be an extremely difficult and emotional job and I would recommend them to others.
My mother has been a resident for many years and receives an excellent standard of care. Mum can be difficult to manage but she is always treated with kindness, respect, dignity and above all, the staff care for her as if she was one of their family. Throughout the pandemic when visiting was restricted, the staff kept us informed and even when she had Covid, they cared for her so beautifully that the family could feel reassured that she was in safe hands. The quality of the home improved greatly with the new management and each member of staff has unique characteristics ensuring that Mum is safe, well cared for and loved. We are extremely lucky that she is there and are glad that we chose this as her home. Thank you Clarendon for everything you have done and continue to do.
My uncle had been in the care home for 20 months until he passed away. My uncle was very happy and content there. As I lived in London I would phone my uncle almost every day. The staff would always be happy to fill me in on my uncle's day. It was peace of mind for me to know my uncle was being well looked after.
The staff at the home could not have looked after our family and our mother any better. They were caring, loving, thoughtful and supportive for the nine months our mother was with them. We, as a family, cannot fault them and forever thank them.
