View Full Details of The New Wycliffe HomeA friend of mine has recently moved into the New Wycliffe and the staff have been amazing, nothing is to much trouble and everyone is made welcome. The activities are amazing keeping everyone involved. Food is again amazing and everyone's needs are catered for.
My auntie has been a resident since January 2023, I was impressed with the welcome she received when she first arrived. That same theme has been constant throughout. The staff are fantastic, it is very encouraging to see the same staff by and large since then, it says something for the culture of the home. The staff always display a loving, caring attitude to the residents. They are patient under sometimes challenging circumstances. My auntie always speaks well of the staff and I can see why.
The home is like a five star hotel it's the best one I've stayed in. The staff go up and beyond themselves. Lots of activities, music, singing and dancing. The food is fantastic, lots of choices and is nice and tasty. My room is nice and big and airy and I have a brand new bed. All the staff including management are brilliant. Also I can go out and about if I want too. The New Wycliffe Home is a happy homely place.
My mother has recently moved to this home and having looked at several homes prior to this, I have to say on the face of it this home was far superior to the rest. Mum has now been in the home for the best part of four weeks and the care is second to none. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for the management team given my mother's care needs.
My dad has been in a number of care homes. This one is without doubt the best one he's been in. The staff are second to none. They treat each resident like they are a member of their own family. My dad is so happy here as a family having to make the decision that he can't come home is heartbreaking. But it made it so much easier knowing he was in this home. Always dressed smartly, clean, and they keep him busy with some wonderful activities. In and out the home a wonderful trip on a barge was the last one. Which my mum and sister got to enjoy too. We would obviously love him to come home sadly that's not possible now. But knowing he's here makes it so much easier for all of us. Fantastic place, keep up the great work all of you.
The New Wycliffe Home For The Blind. My first experience of this place was a nice friendly welcoming one, friendly staff in a nice friendly environment, this place has my 5-star rating, friendly atmosphere, I'm sure the residents love being there.
In 2017/18 I visited 16 different care homes before choosing The New Wycliffe, this is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I probably spend more time at the home than most, visiting every day for the past six and a half years. The staff are incredible, they treat all residents with love and respect and they really do work as a team in a very friendly environment. Residents are encouraged to join in activities and outings organised by enthusiastic staff. As a relative I have found it difficult to cope with Dementia but the senior staff are so knowledgeable on the subject which has given me peace of mind. I have nothing but praise for the whole team. The home has recently been taken over by Midlands Care, with this new investment in the building and facilities the future looks bright.
My husband first came to the New Wycliffe Home in October last year for a months respite, which after a full assessment, then for a permanent stay. After a few weeks of adjustment for him and my family, we realised it was the best thing for him and for me. The home is now the only home he knows and the staff are his family. I couldn't begin to stay how grateful we are. The home has given him the best life. They stimulate him so much with all the activities and trips. He is treated love and respect. The staff look after me and my family. We feel we are part of his new forever home. I could say more but there is no space left.
This home really is a home from home, such a bright, happy place filled with light and positivity. It is extremely clean, staff are amazing, they work so hard to make everything nice for residents and it seems nothing is too much trouble for them. My sister had many complex health needs and these were all looked into very thoroughly. The manager not only made it a priority to fully understand what was needed in terms of care and support to keep her safe and comfortable but also took the time and care to speak to my sister at length to find out who she was as a person. The food served here is first class. When my sister passed away, everyone was extremely kind, compassionate, caring and supportive. Everyone we met at the home had a smile for us and it really is just a lovely place to be in. Staff and Management always listened to us and responded positively to any requests we made or feedback we gave them which was hugely appreciated. I can't sing their praises enough.
The staff at The New Wycliffe Home are so kind, patient, understanding and welcoming. They treat my mum as family, and I couldn't ask for more. Also. the outings and activities that Mum gets the opportunity to do are wonderful, and she thoroughly enjoys them.
Everyone is amazing, the care, friendship, support, respect, and love towards my father, my family and myself was second to none. The care home really is a home from home. You made Dad's 90th birthday so very special. The day trips and special occasions were something to be excited about, and great fun too. Thank you all so very much. You became our extended family.
I feel confident that my husband is safe and well cared for - very important as he continues to deteriorate. Staff are warm and loving to him and caring and concerned for my well-being. A great effort is made to ensure that residents enjoy life at The New Wycliffe. Friends and residents are included and consideration is shown to them. At a very sad and trying time, the staff do all they can.
My mum has been a resident at the New Wycliffe Care Home for just over two years now. I have always found the Carers and Seniors very helpful when I ask about mums' care. New Wycliffe is very clean and well looked after. There are many activities for residents who are able to take part and they also go on trips out. Lovely garden to walk around with wheelchair access. Wonderful home.
My wife has been a resident in this care home since April 2023. Generally I would mark the care home Excellent with regards to the staff and Good to Excellent for all other categories. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.
Amazing staff. My mother was previously a resident there a few years ago and therefore the family did not hesitate for my mother-in-law to have respite care there for a while, as we knew the level of care that she would receive would be excellent.
I recently visited my grandma on her birthday along with other family members. Nothing was too much for the staff at New Wycliffe Home, arranging a room for the family to have some privacy to celebrate. The home was nice and clean, staff were very welcoming, making everyone feel valued. Seeing what a difference, the home has made to my grandma's quality of life is very comforting and reassuring.
I'm so glad my grandad is in this home. The carers are very welcoming and always keeping the residents occupied with some sort of fun activity.
As a regular visitor to The New Wycliffe to see my friend it's nice to know he is well looked after in all aspects of his care. The staff are always welcoming and know each of the residents so well. They promote person centered care and it's evident that's what they deliver. I've been at the home at different times of the day and I've witnessed good organisation and communication from all staff and seniors. Especially at meals times when it can get a bit more hectic. There is activities, games, music., singing and dancing. Also sitting and talking to the residents. I like that everyone is offered trips out and family and friends are welcome to come along if we chose. The staff in the office are always free to chat if there are any concerns, very approachable. Would definitely recommend The New Wycliffe to future residents' families.
My granddad has been in The New Wycliffe for a couple of years now. Every time I visit there's always something to entertain the residents. He seems very well looked after and everyone loves him. His pleasure is music and they do the utmost to accommodate him, it's nice to see him back to his old self. I'm very happy my grandad is living there.
I'm really happy that my grandad has such a nice choice of activities to do. The staff are kind and energetic which makes a difference and they are all nice to my grandad. I would suggest to get some healthier food options such as fresh juices to boost their energy too and maybe more fruit to help boost their vitamin levels.
