View Full Details of Stoneygate Road Care CentreMy great auntie went to Stoneygate Oaklands Leicester for two weeks while stuff was being sorted out at her old house for her return. After returning home, we could see that my auntie needed round-the-clock support and needed to be safe and live a good life. My auntie returned to Stoneygate Oaklands, as the staff never wanted my auntie to leave; I should have listened to their advice when they said it would be in her best interest to stay! My auntie suffered from high anxiety and depression; this can change through the year - even when she's low in a mood, she is nowhere near to what she used to be. It was so hard to always go to her house and see she hadn't eaten for days or even moved to keep up with personal hygiene. My aunty's life has gained so much happiness, and she braves going out with the help of the staff, which she had not done for many years before. I have a demanding job, so I'm very busy, but the staff always keep me updated - God bless them all.
The thoughtful and hard-working staff have been exceptional in looking after and protecting our brother throughout these difficult pandemic times. He is happy and contented, they take time to communicate with and understand him, and he is very well cared for. We always find a relaxed atmosphere in the home with other residents, also appearing happy and contented, which is a compliment to the care team and an important aspect of our brother feeling settled there.
I am very satisfied with the care he receives; the staff are very helpful.
As a family, we are extremely pleased with our relative's care at Stoneygate Road Care Home. His needs are respected and met, as far as possible, and he is very happy and contented there. Importantly, other residents also appear contented. It is a pleasure to visit. The home is kept in excellent order, with maintenance men constantly busy. The grounds and rooms are clean and tidy, and residents are encouraged to take responsibility. The staff are respectful of the residents' personalities, and always appear to act with compassion. They are hard-working and efficient and are keen to provide information when asked regarding the health and well-being of our brother, so we are well-informed about the progress made. This is very appreciated.
