My Step Aunt has been with A S Care Home for 18 months and on every visit I have found the atmosphere welcoming and the residents relaxed or engaged in activities. My experience has been of hard-working staff efficient and professional management understanding kindness and care of the residents.
The staff at this home are absolutely amazing. They all care genuinely and are very smiley.
Bit reluctant to give my view on my husband's holiday at A S Care as we may not be able to get him in as they will be full! We grew up in old buildings so feel more at ease in a place that doesn't look like a magazine photo. My husband asked the activities coordinator for a newspaper. Something he doesn't do at home! She found him one.
For the last nine years A S care has looked after Mum. We as a family chose this home for its commitment to its residents. It was obvious from the beginning how much staff had respect for residents' wellbeing, dignity and care. It helped that the manager is a long-term member of staff. Towards the end of Mum's life, she received care above and beyond what she would have received in a hospital setting and the family were kept informed at all times and not restricted to timed visits. Mum was always clean, tidy and happy and her room was tailored with her belongings - a home from home. Well done A S Care.
The staff were always very welcoming, and friendly and made you feel at home. My father’s stay and his care was always 100%, and the staff always went above and beyond, which made me feel happy that he was in good hands, all he ever said when I visited was that he was more than happy with everything other than not having his freedom.
My mum has spent 11 weeks in the care home. She has been looked after. The staff are always polite and friendly and will always go above and beyond to help. There are limited activities, and the able-bodied residents could be taken out, which would be better to help. Keep them in touch with reality and the world. They are inside a lot;l however, there is a beautiful garden. The care coordination is amazing for activities.
I have always found the staff helpful and friendly. My mum is always treated with respect and I never feel her safety is compromised. I know improvements to activities are being developed. It's a home that looks into the needs of the individuals and the group.
Everything excellent.
I visit once a week and the staff are vigilant in testing visitors for covid-19. They are friendly and look after the clients excellently. The home is clean and the food is good.
My grandma is fairly new to the home. All the staff have been very friendly and helpful and take good care of my grandma.
My sister is looked after very well. I do wish the carers would have name badges as most residents have not got memories.
