Very happy on the whole, maybe at weekends staffing levels could be better. If I have a problem I have a conversation with management which gets resolved.
All the staff are lovely friendly and welcoming. They can't do enough with granddad and he is well looked after and safe. We are so grateful for all their love and support of granddad.
I am very pleased with the care that my mum receives at Digby Court. The staff are very caring and helpful. My mum is very happy and enjoys the activities that are arranged. Digby Court has a welcoming feel and all visitors are also made to feel welcome.
When we moved mum to Digby Court we were met by warm friendly staff who helped settle her into her new surroundings. The room was always clean and tidy. Mum was always dressed well and the staff were also amazingly good with our father when he visited or called. When mum had her stroke and eventually passed the staff showed wonderful compassion to us all. I have always said how wonderful this home is when talking about care homes, and would highly recommend this home to anyone.
Knowing mum is being cared for day and night in a kind, respectful and caring manner is our main priority. The staff are doing a wonderful job which must be very challenging with the diverse needs of all the residents. Though mum can no longer communicate coherently, she's always calm and relaxed when we visit which reassures us that she's happy in her world.
My brother-in-law stays here and the staff are always helpful to us and they do lots of activities which keep residents active. If we are concerned we can ring and they put our minds at rest. This is so virtual when we live so far away. They mark residents' birthdays with a cake and at lunchtime residents can have alcohol with their meal it certainly is a home-from-home.
My brother is well looked after and seems happy with himself. He suffers from vascular dementia so he has mood swings now and again but this does not seem to be a major problem to carers. There are a few problems with clothing being lost, I have labelled most of his things but I very often find him wearing other people's clothes. I realise this can be a problem when things are in the wash. The staff are always polite and smiling and if anything is wrong I am always informed A.S.A.P. I think for care and support my brother could not get anything better for the price.
My husband goes to Digby Court for respite and daycare. He has always been a very quiet, private man and as a family, we were very apprehensive about putting him into a care home, for even short periods. However, he settled in very quickly, he particularly enjoys the meals and actually asked to be there in time for breakfast. There is a welcoming atmosphere and the staff are kind, friendly and engage with the residents. I have nothing but praise for Digby Court.
The care home staff take excellent care of my mother-in-law. When I telephone to speak to my in-law, they make sure she hears me as she is hard of hearing and has dementia. They keep us informed if there are any health issues. Visiting in person, they are very welcoming and attentive. They did have an entertainment manager who left, which meant there was no Christmas party in 2023. The 2022 was the last one and you could see the residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves and really helped those with dementia. Would be nice if this year the care home could do activities to stimulate those with dementia.
Not enough staff, especially at night. They do not have enough time to help my husband with his personal care and dressing him. Today I had to shave him as it had not been done for four days. He has plenty of clothes but often I have to ask for things. Not enough laundry staff.
The staff are very kind to me and my husband. The place is always clean.
The fact that my wife is being well looked after and is safe gives me a lot of comfort; thank you. She is not distressed in any way and the staff make sure that she is safe. They also make me feel welcome when I visit and are always polite when talking to me on the phone.
Very caring home. Staff soon get to know visitor's names and who they are visiting and are always kind, polite and helpful. Most of the staff genuinely care for residents and will always have a smile or chat when they pass. The activity coordinator left and doesn't seem to have been replaced, so daily activities are a bit sparse, although they do have plenty of volunteer groups visiting.
When I visit I find the staff approachable, informative and helpful. The environment is good and reassuring. It is very clean. They take very good care of my sister. The food choice are good, a menu for the clients to choose from. All in all very happy.
Quality, cleanliness and suitability of rooms have been an issue on more than one occasion. Although this has been addressed when raised with management. Overall, the home environment (shared/recreational spaces) seems improved - brighter, cleaner and better maintained.
The staff are amazingly friendly, welcoming and helpful when needed. This place suits my father's needs to a tee.
Very difficult to review due to all of the Covid restrictions. The room my mum is in is not in the best of decor, the carpet is badly stained and could do with a deep clean or being replaced. Also, the room could do with re-decoration. The staff all appear very friendly and helpful. Hopefully, this will be improved now Covid restrictions are easing.
Digby Court is amazing, the staff are so kind and caring. They always welcome family members to visit residents, nothing is ever too much trouble. Truly amazing staff. Thank you for all you do.
Based on a recent family visit and an in-depth discussion of current health issues, the senior carer spent a great deal of time ensuring the continued support and care of our father. Their communication with the family is very good and they are very swift in tackling any health issues as they arise. Their rigorous safety regime has kept residents safe from Covid-19 and is to be applauded.
