View Full Details of Heatherlea HouseDesperate for help and an emergency respite bed for my 89 year old Mother, l contacted Heatherlea. The manager was outstanding. No hesitation in offering Mum a bed immediately. Upon arrival a covid test was done, weight checked & all immediate paperwork filled in. Mum was asked what she would like to eat and drink and asked if she would like to go into the lounge area or see her room and get settled. Her room was well prepared in advance awaiting her arrival. The home has a lovely fresh smell and nicely decorated, it's clean and bright. Staff are happy, kind, patient and extremely helpful. The cook is dedicated in the way she presents her meals offering an alternative meal if preferred. All areas l've seen are very clean neat and tidy a credit to the cleaning staff and carers. I met with the deputy manager the following day who sat with us as we had questions and then a little later she came into Mum's room to ask more personal details regarding Mum's wellbeing. First impressions. Dedicated.
My father was a resident at Healtherlea House for two years. He had lived in Spalding all his life, so moving to somewhere new was bound to cause anxiety, but the care staff were so friendly and welcoming, he quickly settled in. The regular activities and opportunities to socialise with other residents improved Dad's health and overall wellbeing greatly. The team kept him and the other residents safe throughout the COVID pandemic with their vigilance and high-quality care, for which I am truly grateful. He really enjoyed his time there and loved all the members of staff. I cannot thank them enough for all their kindness, help and support for my Dad. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Heatherlea, it's a very special place with an amazing team. Thank you for everything you did for him.
Heatherlea in Woodhall Spa has demonstrated a consistently high level of professionalism and care. Throughout my father's comparatively short stay, all staff have acted in a humane and generous way towards him, being attentive to all needs including a spell of double incontinence. I have never seen my father as happy as he was at Heatherlea. The manager and her staff are all to be congratulated. I cannot thank them enough. In my view the quality of staffing is the crucial factor, and, although there are care homes which are beautifully presented with modern facilities and fittings, it's the people who make a home a 'care' home.
My father went to Heatherlea with dementia, he was looked after very well by the staff. I have no complaints about the care he received and would recommend the home.
There are occasions when you feel there is a shortage, maybe one carer extra is needed to tend to the needs of residents, particularly in the area of residents needing "bathroom visits". Also, there are occasions when a shortage of bathroom facilities can cause "issues".
I cannot thank the care home enough, my great nan was cared for far better than I could of wished for, they were there for her right until the end. Going above and beyond on many occasions. Thank you.
I asked if they ever made curry and within 2 days we had curry for lunch which was very good. They do their very best to provide what is asked for.
I cannot praise the staff at Heatherlea House highly enough. I am extremely happy with the care my father is receiving. I think the home, food, staff and activities are excellent. The staff are always cheerful and patient. They also act on requests and queries straight away.
