View Full Details of Manor Care CentreMy husband went on daycare and respite at the Manor, he was very well looked after, his every need was catered for, and the staff were extremely kind caring and supportive. When he stayed overnight, I knew he was safe and being very well looked after, the home is great, big and well equipped, myself and family were made very welcome all the time! I would highly recommend the manor for your loved one.
A lovely home in a peaceful, rural location. The home is always welcoming when I visit my dad and it is kept impeccably clean. The staff are warm, friendly, very helpful and accommodating to the residents' needs.
My mum is 91 and went into full-time care at Manor Care Centre in September 2019, having spent some months prior to this enjoying both their daycare and respite facilities. Mum has dementia, and over the past 2-years has been steadily losing many of her precious memories and skills. As a family, it has been difficult to watch this happen, but Manor Care has been truly excellent. The staff have shown such care and compassion that it has been a blessing to us as a family to know that Mum is safe, happy and well cared for. Our heartfelt thanks to Manor Care and all the staff team.
I would certainly recommend Manor Care 100%. My mother has been in Manor Care for approximately 10 months and the staff have been exceptional. Every time I have visited (prior to lockdown) my mother has always been well presented, happy and content. Given the current national pandemic, the staff have been really wonderful. Bless them all. I will sign off now as I'm feeling emotional.
My father has been in residence for just over one year and what a year that has been, with the trauma for him and the family and of coming to terms with the reality that this is a necessity and the guilt that we all feel when making the decision. However, the staff at The Manor Care home have all been supportive of the family and more importantly of my father, through the various issue's that occur during his stay. Of course, the current Covid-19 pandemic has made life even more difficult for everyone as loved ones cannot visit and staff obviously have extra precautions to take, but we have always been able to make contact and get updates on life in the home.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care my father has received over the last year. Without exception, from the cleaners to the Manager, the staff are wonderful. In particular, the carers are exceptional: their caring compassion, their support and patience, the respect and dignity that they show the client and their unstinting hard work with the jobs they undertake - often not of a pleasant nature, are all are done with gentle calmness. This caring compassion extends beyond the client to the relatives as well. Their kindness to me has on occasions brought me to tears. The Centre is a lovely old, extended Manor House with excellent facilities and beautiful grounds to walk in. The food and refreshments are of a high quality and no-one goes hungry! The leadership of the manager is reflected in the high standards maintained. You may wish to know that the Centre is being staffed, not just by caring people, but by a flock of angels!
My mum was taken ill suddenly and it was a very worrying time. It was suggested that after a long hospital stay she go for two weeks respite care at Manor Care Centre in East Kirkby. I’d always promised, from being a child, that I’d never put my mother in a home and the guilt I felt at not being able to care for her 24 hours a day was crippling. I turned up at the home, unannounced, to see how it was run. I was welcomed with a friendly face, a professional and efficient manner and witnessed myself other people’s parents living happily and harmoniously in their own little worlds. Mum stayed for two weeks and she improved to the point where she’s now back home with me. She enjoyed her stay there, the room was lovely, the food fresh and very good and the care was excellent. I can’t praise the people there enough. They were always there for Mum and helped me personally through a very dark time. I won’t hesitate to use the Manor Care Home again should the situation arise and I’d recommend it without question.
My husband came to stay for a week holiday period. It was the first time we had been separated for 60 years and I was extremely concerned about this. The staff at Manor reassured and helped me understand the benefit of taking a rest and recharging my batteries. On arrival at the home, they welcomed my husband who has dementia and responded with warmth and friendship, he became cheerful and smiled. He was familiar with the environment from his regular day care visits, this made me feel at ease and comfortable knowing that there was genuine empathy from staff. I phoned each evening was given a detailed account about my husband's day, and never felt hurried by staff even though I know they must be busy. On my husbands return home he was brighter in mood, his walking had improved and he had found his appetite again. I have nothing but praise for the team of staff at Manor it is like a family and they include all when caring for your loved one. My husband will be visiting for his next holiday.
The care of my mother over the 8 months she was at the Manor Care Centre was excellent. For the majority of the time she was bedridden and the staff went out of their way to ensure that she was made as comfortable as possible. They really cared for her and were very patient and understanding, giving her constant attention and making sure she had the best equipment to meet her needs. Most of her family lived quite a distance away, but whenever we visited (often without prior notice) we were made very welcome and we always found mum to be clean and tidy. Whenever we telephoned to see how mum was we were always given full information and were never hurried off the phone. If we were at all worried the senior staff would always talk things through with us and spend time reassuring us. All of the staff I met in person were very caring and excellent with mum. The home itself is in a very peaceful, rural setting with pleasant rooms and a good standard of cleanliness. The food appeared to be appetising and freshly cooked. The standard of regulation was high with everything being monitored and recorded as it should be.
