View Full Details of Ruckland Court Care HomeThe staff were lovely, kind, gentle and supportive. The home itself is clean and has great facilities. My father was admitted essentially for end-of-life care and was well looked after, treated with kindness, respect and dignity. Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and the respect and dignity shown to my father.
I cannot fault Ruckland at all. My Uncle has improved physically and mentally since moving in here. The staff are fantastic, polite, professional and genuinely caring. The management have been superb, very approachable and helpful. I work in healthcare and visit many sheltered housing schemes and Ruckland Court is quite simply the best I have known. Thank you so much for offering such excellent care.
My mother was going through a very hard time mentally, we chose to look into some respite care and contacted Ruckland court, the response we got was excellent, they were very understanding and offered us lots of support. Mum entered the home in October 2024 for 1 month. She has nothing but praise for all concerned in her care, everyone was polite and couldn't do enough for her. The rooms were modern and beautifully decorated and she was very comfortable. She was included in all activities and went out on a trip which she thoroughly enjoyed. There was a hairdresser on site which she took advantage of. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ruckland Court. I'm sure Mum will return again in the near future.
Very impressed with the whole look of the care home, clean, smart, user-friendly, easy access to garden, pleasant garden experience for all. Staff exceptionally pleasant, helpful and always smiling. Bedroom and ensuite also of very high standard, access to all amenities very good, user loved the cinema and cafe and enjoyed his meals too, plenty of variety and would like to return soon.
It has been a really good experience overall. Thank you for your help. Staff lovely and helpful and management and receptionist very helpful.
My mum recently celebrated her 89th birthday in the Dam Buster bar at Ruckland Court. We had a family gathering of approx 25 people, all the staff on duty that day went out of their way to make it a thoroughly enjoyable experience for Mum, making sure we had everything we needed. Although mum has only been a resident for a short time, she and all the family have been made very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Lastly, the Dam Buster bar was the perfect venue for the party which was enjoyed by everyone. Many thanks.
My husband has been a resident for 4 years. He is so well looked after. He now joins in the activities. I'm welcome when I go. I feel like one of the family. It's a lovely atmosphere. Can't praise all the staff enough.
Mum has been at Ruckland Court for almost 3 years and I have nothing but praise for the home and for everyone that works there. The difference in her is unbelievable and from a place of desperation as her Alzheimers took hold before moving there, to the happy, laughing person she has returned to, has been amazing and such a relief to see. She loves life again, and as much as possible with dementia, I have my mum back. I will be forever grateful for the time and effort that the manager and his team invest in all the residents, it's the little things they do, caring gestures, jokes to make them laugh etc, basically being family to them, when family can't be there that make the difference. Frankly, not only has Mum already been given 3 more years than than I thought possible, such was her decline, but my brother and I are now able to relax physically and mentally knowing she is safe and happy, and now in such beautiful surroundings too. Thank you will never be enough.
Since my mum became a resident almost 2 years ago, the care home has got better in terms of the environment she lives in and the staff who look after her. The new building which houses a spacious and relaxing lounge is excellent.
Both my parents are residents at Ruckland Court where they have their own rooms but spend their day together in Dad’s flat. We were encouraged to bring up many of their personal possessions collected over their long marriage so both their rooms have become a real home from home. Mum and Dad have the best of both worlds in the support provided being of light touch for Mum whilst she is relatively well and more in-depth for Dad who needs greater help with his daily living needs now. All staff know them both well and that includes us as the wider family too. I am on first-name terms with the whole team and I feel very able to bring up any worries I or my sister may have in order to resolve them in the best interests of my parents. I think this illustrates the open communication and respect demonstrated to the residents and families at Ruckland Court and provides reassurance to my sister and I that my parents are well cared for and settled.
I would just like say that my auntie has only been in Ruckland Court Care Home for about two weeks. So, at this, the information will only be based on this very short time we have at the moment. All the staff are very friendly and supporting in her needs, comfort and mind. Also, we find they have been very approachable in every area. So, a big thank you at this difficult time for our family.
Mum had a hospital appointment with an ongoing condition, when the sister took off Mum's dressings she said 'Wow! What home is Mum in?' 'They are looking after her very well, it must be a good home'. Yes, they are and yes it is!
Always find staff very kind and helpful. Everywhere was lovely and clean. Food always looks very nice and well presented.
What a gem! We were looking for a suitable home for mum, who has mobility problems and failing sight. After visiting numerous homes, I came across Ruckland Court and arranged a visit. I was shown around by a lady, who gave a very in-depth description of the home and apologised for the huge renovations that were going on. Mum moved in between Christmas and New Year. A huge change after living in her own home. She couldn’t have been made any more welcome. The care in Ruckland is second to none. Having worked in a senior post in the NHS I was more than aware of the need for good quality, safe care and wanted the best for mum. And we have it. Every single member of staff I speak to knows my mum, no having to check notes to see who I am enquiring about. Nothing is too much for any of the staff. So kind and caring. The manager is straight onto any queries and concerns I have are dealt with immediately. We have found, in my opinion, the best home in Lincoln.
My mum was in Ruckland just over a year. She was quite a complex case to start with but with dedication from staff and occupational therapy, Mum was moving again. Mum was so happy living in the home. She loved the staff and they showed her so much love and care nothing was too much trouble, they did up and beyond care for her and my entire family. In her last days, the care was outstanding for us all. Mum felt the love from everyone. I can't thank everyone enough.
We just wanted to say how good the staff are at Ruckland Court Care Home. Our Aunty came in for respite care and all the members of staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. She is now a permanent resident and their excellent care has continued, making the transition from home to care home so much easier. We would recommend Ruckland Court to anyone wanting to go into care.
Admitting that your parent needs to go into a home is a difficult time for anyone, but the staff have made this a lot easier. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. There is an excellent line of communication between myself and the home and everyone seems fully committed to making my mother's, and my lives easier.
Very grateful for the kindness and support showed to mum during her recent trips to hospital and minor surgery. Staff at Ruckland Court arranged transport, and escort and liaised with hospital staff. This was so reassuring as the family live far away. Thank you to the Manager and all staff for continuing to care for mum so well.
My Brother lives in Ruckland Court Care Home he is very well looked after. He loves being there. He goes to Dialysis every other day at 7am, he needs to be up 5.30am for this. He feels very confident that he is being looked after very well. The staff are brilliant to the residents.
I previously reviewed this wonderful Care Home when mum first went to stay there. To say they go over and above is an understatement. Nothing is too much for them, from the Management, Administration Team, and Front of House Team right through to the Care Team and Activities Team. Mum is extremely well looked after and happy. What more could a daughter ask for when somebody else is looking after somebody who is so precious to me and my family? Thank you Ruckland Court Care Home from the bottom of my heart. You are doing an amazing job.
