View Full Details of Russell GreenI am impressed with the level of care that is given at Russell Green Care Home, if you are looking for a great place for your loved ones to be looked after then this is one that should be considered. My brother-in-law is so well cared for and I have found that every member of staff I have encountered whenever I have visited have been very warm and welcoming. It is a great relief that my brother-in-law is happy at the home and is treated with such care and kindness by all staff. Thank you everyone at Russell Green.
Russell Green has a very warm and caring atmosphere where residents a visitors are made welcome. After everyone has a smile and feels at ease. What a wonderful job you do.
Russell Green provides warm and professional care in a quiet residential area of Woodhall Spa. I have seen my brother treated with kindness and compassion by all the staff whilst respecting his dignity. I feel he is in the very best of hands.
You are unable to put a price on the care, support, dignity and respect given daily to my father by all staff at Russell Green. Combined with daily activities, wonderful food and comfortable surroundings, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks to all for everything you do.
My grandmother is a resident at Russell Green and the difference since being there has been quite amazing. She is a very proud woman and had always taken great pride in her appearance but with the onset of Dementia her confusing memory was failing her and she was losing her zest for day-to-day effort. Since moving her to Russell Green she has her hair done, nails done she has gained a healthy weight and is enjoying a new lease of life and at ninety-six she is thriving. Thank you to the wonderful team there that make all this possible and give their wonderful residents the dignity in life they deserve.
My mother has been living independently in her own home and is 96. Onset dementia was diagnosed about 2 years ago but as she lived alone, it was getting increasingly difficult for her and she started to spend more time in bed. I live 3 hours away and became really concerned. Finally, her good friends and myself thought it was time for her to be in full-time care and suggested Russell Green Home. After the initial settling in, the difference in her well-being is remarkable. She is up and dressed and engages with other residents, regular medication and most of all company and good food. Thanks to Russell Green my mother has a good quality of life and I believe they saved her from a very unhappy and fearful time. I would have no problem recommending any family considering this establishment for a loved one. Thanks again to all the wonderful staff who really do care.
I frequently visit to see my friend. All the staff are excellent and very friendly. The care given by the staff is exceptional, and I would highly recommend this care home. The overall standard of the care home is very good.
Our aunt is being looked after so well. All the staff are very caring. Nothing is too much trouble. It is a real home from home. I cannot fault it and would happily recommend it to anyone. The staff are a real team, the atmosphere is lovely. As soon as you walk in you can sense it's a happy place.
My aunt entered Russell Green Care Home in December 2022 following a traumatic hospital admission. From the beginning I was very impressed with all aspects of the care she was given. Last week my aunt became very ill and we were advised this appeared to be end of life. My sister and I travelled over and spent the week with her. During this time the home organised a move into a larger room in order to accommodate a hospital bed to make it easier to administer even better care. I cannot fault the care and dedication my aunt is receiving, every effort is made to ensure her comfort. The staff are extremely dedicated, kind, and caring, they show such great respect to their residents. Over the last four years, my sister and I have had to place our mother and uncle in residential homes, we both agree that Russell Green far surpasses all other homes we have experienced. They work as a closely knit team, this makes such a difference to the high level of care delivered.
Our friend has been a resident for three months and improved dramatically since admission. She has benefitted greatly from the environment and stimulation within the home. She enjoys four meals per day and the company of other residents. The staff are very kind and attentive, offering drinks to visitors. Her room is clean and bright, with dual aspects, new curtains, carpets and decoration. She has an en-suite toilet and sink. Visits are welcome in the lovely garden or her room, but not in the lounge due to covid regulations. Covid tests and masks are needed inside the building.
We, as a family, are extremely grateful for the level of care and support provided to my mother-in-law during her four years of residence at Russell Green. During what was a particularly difficult period of time, with the onset of the pandemic, management and staff did a wonderful job caring for her in such trying circumstances. With her suffering from dementia, it was a comfort to us that she was cared for with dignity. Without hesitation, we are pleased to be able to recommend Russell Green as a home, having such high standards in providing support to my mother-in-law and giving her the best possible quality of life in her latter years.
My cousin lived happily for fourteen years in Russell Green Care Home. She considered the staff family and they were kindness itself to her. Russell Green was home to her, all knew her little ways and all accommodated her needs and wishes. She was well fed, warm and clean. When she eventually had medical requirements they were efficiently provided. We considered her to be very lucky to be there.
Welcomed on visiting. Escorted to the resident, provided with seating. Included with refreshments after a long journey. Given and outlined update on the resident's health. The staff ensured the comfort of the resident throughout our visit with constant attention. Made to feel welcome and free to visit on future dates.
My mother was 92 years old and a resident of Russell Green Care Home from April until December 2021. My mother had lost the use of her legs and so had to be transferred via a hoist. Basic care at the home was satisfactory. My mother was clean, although at times her hair looked greasy and a bit flat. If I could not get through to my mother on her mobile staff were always obliging in putting me through to her on the home phone. When my mother’s appetite plummeted carers worked hard encouraging her to eat and kept her out of hospital. Suggestions were made by the family to the care manager but not always acted upon. Amongst others, these included my mother sitting out in the garden and a TV to be set up in her room especially latterly when she stopped reading the paper. Due to a misunderstanding, my brother and I were informed by the home that our mother would need to be transferred to another home. This caused my brother and myself considerable stress trying to resolve the matter until my mother’s residency was confirmed.
Mum, who has Alzheimer's has been at the home for 3 months and before that attended daycare. The home is very clean and has a lovely feel, the food is delicious and varied, and there is a beautiful enclosed garden for everyone to enjoy. There is a wide range of activities to suit everyone. All the staff are helpful, kind and caring. The manager and deputy are fantastic, they are always on hand and willing to help and advise or just listen and nothing is ever too much trouble. It is very reassuring to know that mum is safe, happy and well cared for. An amazing home.
My mother aged 97 has been a resident of Russell Green for two years. She enjoys the company, food and activities. They have a nice garden n which she enjoys walking. She looks much healthier now than she did before she went into residential care. I have a good relationship with the managers and carers in the home and the staffing levels and personnel are unchanged despite the challenges faced in the sector generally. I would definitely recommend this care home as my mum's quality of life has improved a good deal since she first arrived there.
My father has been a resident for just over three years now and settled in well due to the welcoming, caring and dedicated staff. As time has progressed, so has he. He is very well cared for, both physically and mentally, and is well stimulated with the activities, both communal and those focussed to his personal interests. He enjoys the 'banter' and is very much at home. In better weather, (and particularly during the pandemic and visiting restrictions) the garden is a great joy for him and he uses the summerhouse and gazebo to survey the plants and often shares the benefit of his gardening experience with others! I have regular meetings with the manager who keeps our family well informed and updated which is very welcome. The care and devotion of the staff is superb and I, and my father and family, are very grateful and feel very lucky that he is cared for here.
Our widowed mother went into Russell Green during the pandemic due to worsening dementia and took time to settle but thoroughly enjoyed the final year of her life surrounded by genuinely caring staff in a family atmosphere. Mum joined in all of the very varied activities, benefited from regular food/medicine and loved the company of staff/residents. The garden is a great asset in the warmer months and made full use of.
Friendly and caring staff and management are willing to discuss issues and are very flexible and helpful for things such as hair appointments etc. Lots of appropriate activities which provide a stimulating experience for residents. The building is a home from home and very clean and tidy but not clinical. Close to the village centre so able to take mum out for walks for a change of scenery. The gardens are beautiful. All the staff are aware of mum's special needs.
Russell Green care home were great with my grandmother who had Alzheimer’s and sadly passed away in December 2021. The care was wonderful, the staff were patient and friendly and my granny felt very much at home. Meals were superb, fresh, and home-cooked. Activities were great with singing, gentle exercise and trips to the cinema. I would recommend this care home to any family. Thank you.
