View Full Details of Welbourn Manor Care CentreWhen it became apparent that my Aunt needed more care than we could provide, we were faced with a difficult decision. From the moment we first visited Welbourn Manor, I instantly knew that my Aunt would be happy and well cared for. One staff member in particular has gone above and beyond to ensure that residents and families are treated with dignity and respect. She has shown my Aunt compassion, patience and understanding at all times and keeps in regular contact with us about any progress or concerns. My Aunt, despite her difficulties, remains a fiercely independent individual and this has been respected and promoted by Welbourn Manor. The staff member mentioned previously has provided my Aunt with daily stimulation, engaging her in outings and activities which keep her mentally and physically fit and healthy. This has included trips out, knitting, gardening etc (all of which my Aunt loves and very much looks forward to). I would not hesitate in recommending Welbourn Manor as the level of care is exemplary.
Seen my mum at the home over the last couple of years the staff are and have always been so attentive and supportive plus having fun with my mum and making her laugh which is great to see. Activities happening regularly keep Mum entertained.
The staff are always lovely. They always inform us of everything. Always welcoming. Consistently updating us on the wellbeing of our step-father. The care home is always clean and tidy.
My mum is very happy at the Welbourn Manor. The staff are all marvelous; they are very caring, considerate and very patient! Mum has her own spacious room, with several pieces of her own furniture and lots of family photos to make it feel more like home. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they do to make Mum feel respected and welcome. They keep me informed and are always happy to help out with arranging visits etc. Well done team, your care and consideration are much appreciated, by both my mum and all her family.
My mother has dementia and also suffers with severe anxiety attacks, the staff genuinely care about the residents and are excellent at dealing with Mum's anxiety. They take time to sit and chat with her even when they are busy. Nice, clean room, food nice and lovely staff. Mum is happy and content at this home.
I spent 15 days in Welbourn Manor during January this year. I had a lovely room, was very well looked after, enjoyed meals, especially the fish. The staff were kind and courteous and helped me to get walking again and welcomed all my visitors.
Having made the difficult decision to move into a care home we are very relieved to have found Welbourn Manor for my Mum. The staff are very caring and engaging and Mum is treated with dignity. Mum has a lovely spacious room, we have bought some of her own furniture and possessions which makes it feel like home. The manager and the whole team are always very helpful and approachable - as a family, we are grateful for the care Mum is receiving. Thank you to everyone!
I visit Welbourn Manor on a very regular basis and at different times of the day. I, without exception, find the response of all staff members professional, caring and aware. The care is excellent, and the philosophy of individual plans reflects this, as does the way staff treat all residents each other. There is a strong team ethic. I am treated with respect and welcomed warmly, and my concerns are acted upon and advice given.
Welbourn Manor Care Centre has been through some difficult times in providing the necessary amount of skilled staff. It has now been addressed but there are still gaps from time to time that need to be addressed.
It is a delight to go and visit my mother-in-law at the Welbourn Manor Care Centre. The staff are very caring, always smiling, and we are always made to feel very welcome. The staff are very attentive to the needs of the residents, especially encouraging them to join in the games and special activities. It's such a wonderful atmosphere and a pleasure to see everyone so happy. The staff are very dedicated, which is lovely to see.
When visiting my friend, I have always found the staff very welcoming. I have also found them to be very patient with the residents, no matter how awkward they are. I cannot answer the value for money option as I do not know the fees. However, over the years I have made many visits to care homes and Welbourn Manor Care Centre would be my choice if I ever needed a care home.
I would like to thank the manager and all the staff at Welbourn Manor for all the help and considerable time given to me and my mum when making the transition from looking after my mum at home to her being in respite care and then full-time care. My family and I have been dealt with very professionally and with care and consideration at all times. I have been made to feel very welcome on each subsequent visit. Nothing has been too much trouble and I have been kept informed at all times. My mum's room is always clean and tidy as are all other areas within the home, there is a good choice of well-thought-out meals on the menu and a wide range of topical activities on offer. The staff are giving my mum excellent 24-hour care that I was no longer in a position to provide at home.
I would like to leave a review regarding the care and support given to my mother at Welbourn Manor Care Centre. All staff are approachable and patient with the delivery of the care provided. If there were any initial concerns they were listened to and acted upon, as it sometimes takes time for a person to settle into new surroundings. I do feel there is a family atmosphere and everyone is involved to ensure all residents are given the time required to alleviate fears and anxiety. The meals are varied and well cooked, with residents happily eating together in the dining room or the odd person having their meals in their room as required. My family visit regularly individually and are met by efficient and caring staff who always offer a drink. I know from experience this can be a tiring and demanding job, so full respect to the staff.
Since the new team have been at the helm I have been so pleased with the care, support, and kindness my mother has received. We recently had a residents and family meeting which was extremely beneficial to all and had a real family feel to it, it was apparent that we are all working to the same goal, to make sure that our loved ones are treated with kindness, respect and that their individual needs are met. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Welbourn Manor for looking after mum so well.
Carers and care home excellent.
From the first day my mum, suffering from dementia, entered the home she was given the best care possible. All the staff were wonderful with her and I never regretted placing her in your care. I cannot praise the staff highly enough and the Manor was a beautiful place for my mum to live out her remaining days. Thank you.
I would not hesitate to recommend this care home and all the staff from the top to the bottom are all hard workers, kind, friendly and attentive not only to the service users but to relatives too. Excellent.
After undergoing two operations for fractured ribs, I arrived in a very week state. Over time the staff have helped me to gain strength. Physiotherapy has helped me a great deal. I have also come to realise that problems which seemed unsolvable can be overcome if one does not give up on them.
This care home is spacious, relaxed and the staff are attentive. If it was nearer to mums home would stay here long term (subject to local authority agreement).
Visiting my husband during the last 2 or 3 weeks, has been an absolute pleasure. The staff are so kind and thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. An added bonus is the home itself with it standing in such beautiful grounds.
