View Full Details of WhitefriarsOver the last 18 months I have nothing but praise for the care my husband has had. Carers on the whole have been very patient and loving towards him. I'm kept well informed by various members of staff on his wellbeing.
My mum was a resident at Whitefriars for 19 months passing away in Oct. 2024 after losing her battle with Parkinson's and dementia. My mum was extremely well cared for when she was a resident and the support received from all the staff in her final days was incredibly heartwarming. A large part of a Whitefriars care plan also focuses on the wellbeing of immediate family. The staff have all been very supportive of my father. Whitefriars is an environment where they look to be innovative in their approach to care, being nominated and winning several awards. One instance is where the End of Life Care Lead is creating a private suite for immediate family that my father and I would have found very useful when we stayed overnight in my Mum's final hours. The suite will hopefully be available to use in the near future and I hope that other families will benefit and find it useful in challenging times.
I am very pleased with the care, friendliness and professionalism of all the staff and organisation. My wife has been in your care for nearly two years.
Very favourable in all aspects. Food good. Staff excellent - very caring and supportive.
Whitefriars was the second care home my husband had been in. The first one not a good experience. He was so comfortable and so well looked after, he will certainly be back next time I need a respite break. Thanks to all the staff for the care he received.
My brother has received such excellent care whilst staying at Whitefriars for 12 days respite care. All the carers are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble. They are kind, treat my brother with respect and dignity, and plenty of eye contact. I cannot fault any of his carers. The management is also of such high standard, nothing is too much trouble. He has enjoyed the food tremendously! Thank you so much Whitefriars team!
We have been delighted with the care and support we have received from the team. Dedicated, close-knit and loving towards residents. We feel completely happy and relieved to find a place for Mum. They made the transition to a care home easier and gave us support.
I can't give enough praise for all the care and support for both myself and my late brother. The staff listened to all my worries and acted on them in a very professional way. I was touched that two members of staff managed to attend the funeral. They spoke to the rest of the family which was wonderful. Thank you Whitefriars.
One of our much-loved residents passed away yesterday and I was most impressed by the way the Manager and the Team Leader managed the situation with the residents and also arranged for those who wished to be in the reception area to pay their respects as the trolley was wheeled to the undertaker vehicle.
I have found Whitefriars Care Home to be first class and the staff to be very caring.
Very good care. The staff are brilliant, very kind and caring. Good food.
My 90-year-old father had two weeks of respite care here to give my mother a break. From the moment I rang to arrange the stay (which was done last minute) to the moment I collected him we received a 5-star service. Every member of staff we came into contact with was lovely and obviously happy to work there. Dad was very apprehensive about going but enjoyed his time there and the food! He now feels happy about going in to give Mum a break whenever necessary. The thing that struck me was that everyone had time to chat and really got to know my dad during his short stay. What an amazing team you all are. Thank you so much.
This was our first visit to Whitefriars as our mum had only recently arrived. We were so impressed by the staff who knew all about how she was settling in. The manager took time to explain to us exactly how things were going and what the plan was going forward.
My father's room looked amazing when I visited today. Very clean and fresh looking plus the window open meant it smelt very pleasant. I found the housekeeper lady and congratulated her personally and thanked her on my father's behalf.
Excellent care with thought and kindness.
I was very nervous about seeing my grandma for the first time in Whitefriars as it was a sad decision to make but all the staff were so friendly, kind and caring and made me feel at ease. It is such a lovely, clean and welcoming place and my grandma is so very happy. Thank you to the wonderful staff who are just brilliant. Also, the daily menus are amazing!
My husband was in Whitefriars from September 2021 until his sudden death on the 4th of December 2022. In the fifteen months he was in care he was treated with dignity and respect. He was not only cared for but he was cared about. He could not have been in a better place. He was happy and looked upon Whitefriars as his home and the staff as family. I can only say a huge thank you to all there.
Very comfortable environment. Staff are very attentive and interact easily.
Very good. Very clean. Staff are amazing.
The manager and staff are all very welcoming, friendly and approachable. They clearly knew the resident well and had time to explain to visiting family about a recent progress update. Also fixed a maintenance issue on the day of visit as soon as we reported it. Really encouraged to hear about plans for the gym day!
