A very warm welcome on arrival. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The meals are delicious, well presented and nothing is too much trouble. The care received has contributed to her recovery.
Admittance was prompt. Corridors clean. Restaurant menu looked appealing. Resident was in the lounge watching TV with other residents - conversation somewhat hampered. But pleasant setting and ambience. Slight odour endemic to care homes but not too strong.
Following a period of respite care, Mum became a permanent resident and began to settle well into her new surroundings. Unfortunately a hospital stay was necessary but the Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home staff on duty at the time provided wonderful care and support during the very long wait for an ambulance. The look of pure joy on her face when she was returned home was a delight to see. Everyone who works at Collingtree has been invariably helpful and caring, both in their dealings with Mum and the wider family. We feel this care home was an excellent choice.
Mum spent over 2 weeks in hospital with a very unpleasant bacterial infection. Visually impaired and in isolation, she became very anxious. Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home ladies came in to assess for return, making mum really smile for the first time in weeks. Her return to her room was so welcoming - staff came to see her, the radio was on, heating turned up and everything was immaculately cleaned. The warmth of that welcome made the transition so easy for mum - she said it was lovely to be 'home'. She continues to have excellent care. Collingtree is definitely the best choice we could have made.
My mother has just spent a month at Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home for respite care. I was very impressed with the care she received and how friendly and caring the staff were to my mother and myself. I have no worries about Mum having another holiday with them in the future.
I feel safe here and enjoy the pleasant gardens. It is good to have company, but also I like my own room. I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles and have a large table in my room to leave partly finished puzzles on.
My friend was left in a broken hospital bed that beeped intermittently for over a week. I reported this and it was eventually repaired but not for some time. My main concern was that although your aesthetic is amazing, my friend developed sores as there was no cream! I ordered some cream for her. When they'd used it up, they asked her if her friend could buy more! Not impressed!
Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home is a very pleasant care home. It is in a lovely position and is always very clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and the carers are kind and compassionate. They are approachable and happy to help.
My mum seems to be really happy and settled and has made lots of friends. She joins in all activities.
The care my husband receives from the carers is excellent. They are kind, patient and understanding of his problems. Sadly, there are not always enough of them available when help is needed. On the occasion last month, even the carers were stressed as they felt unable to help everyone due to understaffing. There is a severe lack in communication between relatives and management. Minutes from a meeting, at the beginning of May, have still not been distributed. Changes in senior staffing occur with no notification before or after the event.
After caring for my husband for eight years (he has vascular dementia), I felt I could not cope anymore and reluctantly felt it was time to find a care home for him. I looked at a number of care homes. I found Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home welcoming with a nice atmosphere. Also, it is only 5 minutes walk from where I live. I can go and visit my husband at any time. I feel he is well cared for and safe there. They do a number of activities with them and have a lovely garden.
Dad has now been a resident here for more than 5 years, and in this time he has been very well looked after the whole time. The team is fabulous, and it seems they can't do enough for all the residents and indeed visitors, with nothing being too much trouble. There have been some management changes in the last couple of years, but the level of service has continued and is probably a higher standard now, so we have no concerns at all about Dad's care. He is happy, safe, and well cared for, and even during the difficult times of Covid the team at Barchester strived to continue the high level of care. I don't think we could have picked a better place for Dad. Many thanks to the whole team at the home.
Always welcoming. Lovely, well-kept environment. The staff are always smart in uniform, smiling, attentive, with nothing being too much trouble. I can see that not only do they care in a fantastic way but they love to care and really like those they care for. I see, on every visit, compassion, dignity and respect shown by all the residents. Any request made by resident or family is immediately taken on board and facilitated where at all possible. All in all, this is a lovely, clean, well-cared for and welcoming home. Thank you - you are super.
My mother has really settled well here. The staff are very caring and there is a lovely atmosphere. Very homely, lovely rooms, and the food is excellent. I don’t think we could have chosen a better place.
I am extremely happy with the home. The staff are considerate, friendly and deliver a family-feel.
The staff at Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home are always friendly and the reception lady on the front desk always makes me feel welcome. My friend has settled in really well and looks very well in herself which is all down to the care she is receiving.
My father was admitted to Collingtree Park Care Home after spending many weeks in and out of (mostly in) hospital. The hospital team were terrific and did all they could but then we needed somewhere that Dad could receive the sort of 24-hour care that is just not possible at home, to allow him to heal and enjoy as good a quality of life as possible. The Collingtree team quickly responded to an inquiry, followed up promptly with a hospital visit to assess needs and moved Dad in. His room is bright and cheerful and very clean. The staff are wonderful, from the housekeeping and cleaning staff to the care team and the management. Dad's general health and spirits have improved, thanks to good food and lots of attention. He is even participating in exercise and joining other residents for meals in the dining room which seemed unimaginable a month ago. The gardens are lovely and are a wonderful respite from being indoors when the weather cooperates. Thank you to the entire Collingtree team!
From my very first enquiry with Collingtree Park, I knew that this was a good care home and where my Dad should now live. A member of staff showed us around and made time for us. Any subsequent enquiries I made to clarify things only went to confirm my first impression. The manager and deputy went to visit Dad to assess his needs in advance and were extremely thorough. When Dad moved in, the care package and attention to detail for managing those difficult early days were highly impressive. Support for his needs has been just fantastic and any worries he has are swiftly attended to. Every member of staff I have had contact with has been a delight. Dad continually comments favourably on the 'wonderful food' and choices on the menu. His room is bright, cheery and very clean. I am so grateful to everyone at Collingtree Park and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Well done everyone! Can't comment on activities as Dad is a solitary chap by nature.
Wonderful care home with exceptional staff who are professional and friendly towards their residents and their relatives and friends alike, any part of the home we saw was clean and tidy. I can only give this place a five star rating.
