View Full Details of Gabriel CourtMy uncle recently passed away and was at Gabriel Court. I know that they have been going through some tough times but the people there are really trying their best and they still are doing wonders for the people staying there. They are doing a job that most others cannot. Keep it up and you will get there!
Now that it is the summer holidays, I was able to travel over to meet my grandpa. Really happy with the home. I could see staff there available to support him all the time. We sat in the lounge and had a chat and some tea and there were lots of other people in the lounge with him to keep him company and he told me that if he needed anything, the staff were always around to help. Thank you so much for looking after him!
I came to visit my auntie during the holidays and I was really happy with what I saw. I don't get to visit often as I live overseas, but Gabriel Court had such a homely feel. I felt like I was back visiting her in her little bungalow rather than in a care home. She is cared for and happy, which was lovely to see. She is also less stressed out as she has people looking after her all the time.
Great job looking after my aunt. She is having lots of fun and is well looked after.
Really good home. Great feel and warm.
Really great place. Staff really nice. Everyone is helpful. Uncle happy, felt like home. Looked at others that were really expensive and didn't understand that we just wanted someone nice and safe and to make into a home - this is what Gabriel Court knows and is a good place to live.
Visiting my Aunty here and really happy how she’s treated. Staff are friendly and the activities seem fun. We played a bit of bingo with her and nice to see her smile. She’s made some friends and they can hang out and chat, just what she needs
I am here at Gabriel Court visiting my friend. Such a lovely place - there's a nice area outside to sit in the sun and the staff are ever so friendly and attentive. I don't think I have ever been called "Sir" so often, it is a lovely touch and the activities look a delight!
My mate is really well looked after here. I know all of us are happier that he’s in a safe place getting the help and support he needs rather than being stuck in his home and struggling away. Obviously, we miss seeing him as much, but he didn’t get out much before and this way we can pop over and see him whenever we get the chance.
My aunty was at Gabriel Court. She was really happy with everything, she said that she was well looked after and had lots of fun with all of the other people that lived there. On behalf of our whole family, we are so grateful to everyone there.
Came to visit my mum. She is happy with everything here, so I am happy. People are friendly, lots of people around. Nice buzz and feel about the place. All seems to be about making Mum's life easier, can't ask for more.
Really, really good place. Can't fault what they do. Nice, homely, safe and fun. Some lovely staff and also some lovely other people living there. Feels like a little community and my friend is happy, safe and comfortable.
Staff use inappropriate language and behaviours as witnessed. Unwanted involvement in personal matters. Questionable quality of care as sometimes the resident was unable to get anybody's attention when needed.
My husband has been a resident in this care home for almost five years. I cannot fault the care he is receiving. Recently it has been taken over by two young men who are, together with the manager, making many improvements e.g. plastic cotton-backed table cloths in the dining room, new cutlery, menu for the day and table mats. In the lounge - fruit juice vending machines, a supply of milky drinks given to every resident mid-morning. Activities such as batting balloons, quizzes etc for stimulation. The kitchen staff have to supply three vegetables with every dinner. At present, new flooring is being put down in the passageway to the front door and to the toilets. I am so grateful for all the love and care he is receiving. The staff are very loving and caring.
Mum has been in Gabriel Court for over 6 years and just passed away recently. I would like to say that the personal care, attention and love given to her was second to none and they made us feel happy that mum was in their hands. They treated her like she was their mum too. Although Gabriel Court is a care home, they agreed that mum could stay and be nursed by them 24 hours. The personal touches they showed mum made us feel happy that she was there and not in a hospital. Thank you all.
My sister came to Gabriel Court in 2018, suffering from dementia, she settled very quickly and I felt at peace knowing that she felt loved, her room was comfortable. As I live a six-hour round trip away from the home I was always pleased for the feedback given by the manager as to how my sister was. I liked to visit regularly and take her out to lunch or afternoon tea and shopping I was always grateful that the staff had her ready when I arrived. So as to make the most of the time we had together.
My mother was a resident here. Initially, I was very sceptical that she would adapt to, or even enjoy living in a care home. As I lived over 100 miles away, it was essential that she was cared for safely. I couldn't have been happier. My mum loved it there. She had a lovely room, got on well with other residents and staff, and was always cheerful when I visited. Her last days couldn't have been better.
My father-in-law has been at Gabriel Court for a number of years now and I can honestly say that the care he has received has been outstanding. The staff are caring and compassionate, often going the extra mile to ensure both his and visiting family members comfort. The level of communication with us during COVID lockdowns was exceptional, we had regular updates by phone and important information was relayed via email so it could be referred to at any time. All staff worked extremely hard to reassure families that their loved ones were safe and happy. We had, prior to the pandemic, been able to take my father-in-law out for local trips and these were always supported by staff who lent us equipment to facilitate outings. My mother-in-law has, again pre-pandemic, been able to share meals with her husband which has enabled her to maintain a level of normality which I know she has appreciated. Thank you for your dedication.
My mother was a resident at Gabriel Court, the care she received in the dementia unit was exemplary. I moved my mum to Gabriel Court as the previous home she was in was awful. I had looked at many homes and I just had this feeling this was the place for mum to live. With the care and love that she received from the manager and her staff, who were also very caring to me and my family, this was the best decision I made moving my mum to Gabriel Court. I could visit whenever I wanted to, my mum being there was the happiest I'd seen her in years, for me it was the best place for mum.
Gabriel Court looked after my Mum for several years until her death. The care and, every bit as importantly, the love given to my Mum was excellent. The staff are brilliant and not only cared for Mum but showed me the same care and love as well. I was always made to feel very welcome and “part of the family” at Mum's death, despite COVID restrictions I was allowed to be with her right to the end, which to me was very precious.
