Dad was a resident at Lancum for around three years, in that time he was very happy here as were the family with the help support and love he received. The staff are very nice and supportive of both the resident and family alike. There are many daily activities that residents join in with and the weekly journal is a great way of seeing what has been happening, what events are coming up and uploading photographs for the resident to see what has been happening outside of the home. Dad passed recently but we were pleased that he had enjoyed his time with Lancum, the staff and the many new friends he had come to know.
Mum is more and more like her old self in her manner and behaviour. She is evidently happy and well looked after. She looks good and feels good. The staff treat her with kindness and respect, but more than that I have witnessed the love that is shared by the staff and I think this is why Mum is flourishing.
My mother has been at the care home for around a year having been at other homes. Lancum House is by far the best. The staff are great, very attentive and friendly. My mum is always involved and loves the activities provided every day. It's great seeing her on the app enjoying herself.
From arriving at Lancum House to the current day, Lancum House and the staff have continued to be welcoming, supportive, friendly & fun. The staff are always friendly and welcoming to family members and visitors. They'll happily make you a cup of tea or stop for a chat whilst you're visiting your loved one in their care. The residents are clearly happy and feel safe and from the day you arrive, the staff go out of their way to understand your interests and hobbies to help you feel at home. They have a huge range of entertainment at the home for you to enjoy and arrange days out if you wish to join. This is a very happy, safe, and high-standard care home and should be a first choice for anyone looking for a care home. The app is great for getting photos of your loved one enjoying their time and a great way for you to send photos to your loved one of what you and the family are doing which they print out for residents to enjoy and feel included in family life still.
I visit this care home on a monthly basis to help meet the resident's spiritual needs. All the residents look clean and happy. The staff are totally committed to providing fantastic care and it's a pleasure to be able to come into their lives just for an hour. The home always has a relaxed caring and fun atmosphere, a credit to the hard-working staff.
My mum has been at Lancum House for nearly fifteen months now. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the continuous care and well-being of my mum. I am so grateful to everyone who comes into contact with my mum, whatever their job roles may be. Everyone treats my mum with respect and dignity, and they also have a good banter and laugh with her! All the staff are very hard working, kind, caring, welcoming and professional and they provide an excellent service to the residents. The variety of activities arranged by the Activities Managers engages everyone, whatever their interests. The photos uploaded of the activities that residents participate in, are a pleasure to see.

The staff are excellent in the service they provide to the residents. They make the family feel very welcome when they visit. The activities they provide are exceptionally good. The home is very clean and tidy.
My mum went into Lancum House initially on respite care. However, after our family not being satisfied with the care she received being placed into another care home, she was assessed by the manageress at Lancum and was accepted to be relocated back to Lancum House. The home there is so much better, it is light, airy, peaceful, clean and tidy, it's easy to find and has ample parking spaces. The staff there are lovely and make you feel welcome and keep you updated on what's happening both with your family resident and also what's going on inside the home to keep them stimulated and entertained, encouraging them to participate and to mix with other residents, as well as including their family members to join in too with various activities. To the lovely staff there, keep up the good work, you make visiting a nice relaxing time.
My sister-in-law is receiving excellent care and is very happy in this care home. The staff are very caring and very helpful. Facilities are very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this care home.
My Nan has been in this care home for many years now and it's a testament to how caring and clean this care home is that she has thrived there. The staff are so friendly and caring to the residents always smiling and happy and the fact that there isn't a high turnover of staff tells you something. Nan's room is also kept spotlessly clean and there seems to be great efforts to keep the general decor to a good standard. She regularly joins in with the activities and particularly enjoys the bingo. Many thanks to the wonderful people at Lancum for looking after our beloved Nan so well.

My father was placed at Lancum House about 3 weeks ago and as I live in Spain and I am not from the Wellingborough area I had no idea about this home. He was moved as a permanent place arose. I'll be honest, I was very sceptical, as this whole scenario is all new to me and I am doing this all alone without a brother or sister for emotional backup. Well, all I can say is how absolutely wonderful this place is! I was greeted like a long-lost member of the family, the staff were all amazing! He is so much happier than where he was! I no longer feel worried. I really cannot thank and praise the staff enough and they have the family update which sounds fantastic. They will send me pictures of his week and I can send mine that will made into a little newspaper for him. Brilliant idea! The staff took time to talk to me to update regarding my father. It feels like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I am very grateful and I will see you all very soon!

My mother-in-law is very well cared for by the amazing staff. Nothing is too much trouble, they really go all out to make sure all the residents' needs are met. We as a family are very happy with the care given. The home is welcoming. The entertainment staff are great always doing topical crafts and the residents enjoy this. Bingo is loved by all. They also have singers to entertain and sing along with and this really goes down well.
I live in Canada and when Mum moved into this home, I wanted to come and see how she was doing in her first week here. When you walk in, you feel the lightness of the place as there are colourful pictures on the wall and upbeat music playing in the background. I love their idea of Famileo which encourages family and friends of the residents to share pictures and news which the carers use to talk about with the residents. This is excellent psychology, stimulates memory and gives the residents their identity back. The staff are very friendly, tease each other and I constantly heard laughter which is very uplifting for the residents. They work long shifts and even at the end of them, their energy is high. I got the feeling it was their vocation and they loved what they do. The staff encourage socialisation with simple activities like watching TV together as well as organised activities using music and movement. I would love to be in a home like this if and when my time comes.
