My mum has been a resident for over 9 months and her physical and mental health needs have been incredibly well served. All the staff, from housekeepers, maintenance and catering staff right down to the managers are amazing - obviously the carers too! There is a strong team spirit and a level of kindness and compassion that is reassuring even in the most challenging of situations. There is a clear sense of investment in the home - gradual and ongoing refurbishment and upgrading of facilities including the introduction of technology to keep residents safe. So the rating for the room is only because hers hasn't been refurbished yet, to keep the review accurate - I'll be able to add an extra star soon I am certain. Visitors are made to feel welcome and staff communicate very well with family in between visits. All the staff go an extra mile or two and there is always a smile close at hand. When things are difficult the professionalism really kicks in and that makes a positive difference.

Mum has been a resident of Orchard House since late April 2023. Having searched for a suitable care home we do not regret our choice. The staff and management are welcoming, helpful, kind and patient with the residents and their families. Mum feels safe, comfortable and cared for. Regular activities and events are enjoyed by the residents and relatives. There is a homely atmosphere with staff taking time to get to know and support the residents and keep the family well informed. Most residents have access via french doors to a secure garden, a feature which is an added bonus. Well done and thank you Orchard House.

My husband has been in Orchard House for nearly a month now and I am extremely impressed. The manager has been so helpful to me and the staff are so kind and caring. They cannot do enough to make my husband feel comfortable and cared for. They have arranged things like doctors, dentists, opticians, podiatrists, haircuts etc very quickly. The staff work well together and interact very well making for a peaceful environment. I have already recommended Orchard House and will continue to do so.

Throughout the lockdown, there have been various changes in visiting arrangements to see my dad and I have been continuously updated on the situation and reassured of the high standard of continuing care given. I cannot thank all of the staff enough for their continued dedication, hard work and love of their family (my dad included), as this is very much a family unit. The manager has done so much to improve the facilities at the home which has made a huge positive difference to the residents.

My mum was a resident at Orchard House for over 4 and a half years. She actually was 95 when she became a resident at Orchard House. The staff were always very friendly and treated my mum with great respect. I also think they made a real effort to support relatives when allowed to visit during the pandemic with the extension which kept visitors and residents safe but at least allowed some contact. My mum has passed on but Orchard House were still very supportive and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend Orchard House which has also has benefitted from some modernization.

The care home staff have worked wonders with mum. They do an excellent job with keeping her safe and secure. She is more alert than I've ever seen her and is happy in her surroundings. Keep up the good work.

First visit since lockdown and Covid test onsite quick and efficient. Visit in the special room nicely done overlooking garden and orchard.

Orchard House is a welcoming, bright, professionally run care home, providing my dad with a safe and homely place to live. The staff are very attentive, patient and kind. More importantly, they are positive and enthusiastic, keeping my dad and all the other residents as happy, amused and as comfortable as possible. A great care home giving me real peace of mind.

Went looking at care homes in January 2020. After looking around Orchard House, my daughter and I were of the opinion this is where my wife would go. The home is located pretty equally between my daughter's and my home. We were impressed by the attitude of the manager and staff. We were able to select the room where my wife would be residing and also the fact that three little shops including a hairdressers had been erected in the garden area.

Management and staff make this a safe and caring place to be. Families are welcomed and their views and ideas matter. Nothing is too much trouble. The whole family is supported.

Very pleased with Mother's care. Her diet has been updated recently, with her showing signs of some improvement. All staff are caring and friendly. Much investment is taking place at the home.

Orchard House staff have welcomed mum and dad, treating them with kindness and respect always. Our extended family are always made to feel welcome and are included in any activities that the residents have the opportunity to take part in, which is lovely. The management is excellent and the support offered to both my parents and our extended family is faultless. Orchard House is a lovely, caring and friendly care provider.

My family and I are very satisfied with the overall situation regarding my husband being in care. He's very well cared for in every way. He's quite settled now and gets on well with the staff. My only grumble is the room he sleeps incoudl have been a little larger as it's barely a box room. He's never complained about it at all it's me. It's in new management and is doing well very nice people. We've been very lucky to find such a nice place. Thank you.

From March 2019 my wife who has dementia has been a resident at Orchard House, the care and kindness shown to her and all our family have been excellent in all departments. We can't thank them enough for what they do and will be forever grateful.

Mum is very well looked after which is the most important consideration. Mum says the food is good and staff report she has always cleared her plate. The new outdoor area is excellent and they have built 4 shops for the residents. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.

What a homely, caring place! It has a great family feel. Small enough for Mum to recognise both careers and residents, big enough to give her space and variety. Friendly staff, lovely food and always the personal touch. They welcome the resident as well as the family. She had lots of Christmas activities and seeing the residents joining in at their Christmas party was a joy to behold.
