View Full Details of Richmond Villages NorthamptonMy dad has been living at Richmond Village since 2016 and moved to the care floor in 2018. The care floor manager, nurses and carers are all very kind and caring, and always do their best to make my dad as comfortable as possible. Dad has extensive medical needs but he is cared for with kindness, understanding and compassion by all of the staff. I would thoroughly recommend Richmond Northampton.
The service provided by all the staff is excellent They are caring and attentive and always go that extra mile both for the resident and their relatives and I know that I can always be assured that my husband is safe and getting the best possible care. In terms of the facilities the home is always clean and sparkling and the gardens are absolutely beautiful.
My mother had always insisted she would never go into a care home but eventually conceded that at age 100, perhaps it would be wise. She then changed her mind again and didn't want to stay for the trial week at Grange Park we had arranged. However. we persuaded her to stay and by the end of the week she had been so welcomed, looked after and entertained that she admitted that she was really looking forward to moving into an apartment.
The care my dad receives is fabulous, the staff are so kind and caring, we can now sleep at night knowing his every need is met. Highly recommend Richmond, we looked at lots and he stayed elsewhere. This is the best by far.
My parents move into an independent living flat in 2019. All the different services made their life so much easier. As their health began to fail a care package was put into place. The care from the domiciliary team along with the kindness was very comforting to me. Also when unable to walk to the restaurant the catering staff delivered cooked meals to them. With their laundry being done weekly this has really helped me. My father has now moved into Meadow Ward, the whole team have welcomed him, the care is amazing, again all his needs are catered for. The activities that he joins in with all help him feel safe and content.
My parents moved to Assisted Living at Richmond Village eight years ago. Richmond Northampton is a beautiful site with spacious gardens and a marvellous restaurant. There are lots of activities for residents. The domiciliary care team are outstanding and well-managed. After my mother had a fall, we were able to transfer her to the care floor. The nursing team are very professional. I am confident that she is in a safe place under the watchful eye of the health staff. Generally speaking, everyone with high needs is looked after exceptionally well.
The 'village' and gardens provide a lovely environment in which you can live an unfettered life. The staff are friendly, caring and have a positive attitude for one’s welfare. The rooms and their facilities are superb and maintained very well. The 'coffee shop' provides a talking and meeting place. Main meals are served communally and provide another socialising occasion. My experience during my three days was really excellent; most enjoyable and I felt I had been amongst friends. Would thoroughly recommend.
We are so pleased that we managed to get Mum into Richmond's care home for what turned out to be the last six months of her life. The staff at Richmond Villages showed great kindness and compassion to Mum and ourselves in her final days. The care was exceptional, and following her passing, we can at least take some comfort in the fact that we did our absolute best for her in securing her a place at Richmond Villages. Our mother was quite shy and didn’t find it easy to interact with anyone that wasn’t family; however, many of the staff formed bonds with her and regularly got her to smile and giggle whilst looking after her. Myself and my two sisters would all highly recommend this care home.
My mum and stepdad moved into a respite apartment this week while we are waiting for the purchase of their own apartment to complete. The whole team have been fantastic with the whole family, and have done all they can to make the transition as smooth as possible. It's still early days, but I'm sure once they have time to settle in and enjoy the facilities that they will both really benefit from all Richmond Villages Northampton Care Home has to offer!
My mother has been a resident at Richmond for 18 months now and her condition is such that we are constantly worrying how long she has left. She has deteriorated further over the last 6 months, and the team on the care floor are so kind and considerate of her needs and mine. Richmond now gives relatives access to the care plan, minute by minute, via the online, live; Relatives Gateway, which is brilliant for me as I can see daily what is happening with Mum, and brilliant for the staff as it frees them up from having to take so many calls. They can concentrate on the care they give, not talking about it. I feel satisfied and safe in the knowledge that my mum, the most precious person to me, is being cared for to a high standard in difficult circumstances. Top marks to Richmond Care Village, Northampton. - Thank you.
My mother, who has been at Richmond since 2013 and has lived in the Meadows since 2015, continues to receive care and attention of the highest order. I cannot overstate just how much it means to me, as a family member, especially as my wife has her own health challenges. The staff at Richmond enable me to focus on her needs in the certain knowledge that Mother is getting everything she needs and more. Particularly, communication is excellent and I always know if there is the slightest problem/issue which can then be dealt with in a timely fashion. I honestly believe that there is nowhere that my mother would receive better care. The staff's commitment to continuing excellence is to be commended.
The team at Richmond are always very friendly and supportive and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are very attentive and go out of their way to help. I'm really happy that my dad has such support and care around him.
My wife, aged 86, has been resident in the Richmond Villages for four years after I could not provide the 24/7 care she needed. She is a difficult patient, is unlikely to become involved in activities and requires assistance with eating and drinking, as well as, also going to the toilet. She is requiring 24/7 care. It is with deep gratitude and I would like to place on record the five-star care my wife receives from the care home manager, who runs an open-door office, the clinical lead nurse and her team of highly qualified nurses. Also the wonderful team of carers who truly care for my wife like a member of their family. Despite my wife's, often difficult, attitude she is treated retaining her dignity at all times The cleanliness standards re: laundry, bedding and her private suite provide her with an environment like a five-star hotel. The above provides me and the family with great confidence, she is indeed in the right place at the right time in her life.
My mother has been in this nursing home for two years now with complex needs and I have never had any qualms about the care she has been given. At times I have been anxious and fretful over my mother but this has always been received with patience and empathy. I have found the staff and manager to be receptive to any concerns and addressed them promptly and with efficiency. If someone needs to be in a nursing home I have found this one to be one of the best. This home is always well furnished and spotlessly clean with no unpleasant odours. The staff attend to all my mother's needs daily including all personal care and I have had no issues with this. I have found the staff to be kind and helpful and more importantly, my mother has had no concerns either.
Mum has been a resident on the care floor at Richmond Village for 18 months, and while it took her a little while to settle in, I am so very glad that we made the decision to move her there. The care staff are so kind towards Mum and very reassuring and there is a lot of love around Mum. The facilities are excellent, and the quality of the accommodation is good. With such a broad range of activities to keep Mum amused and engaged in everyday life, and such high standards of care, I have peace of mind knowing that Mum is safe and being very well looked after. On the rare occasions when issues have arisen, these matters have been promptly and thoroughly investigated, and fully resolved.
The staff at Richmond are kind, friendly and helpful, whether working in catering, cleaning, domiciliary care or arranging social activities. My father was keen to keep his own independence, and we feel much happier knowing the level of care he receives. Communication is super and we can check his notes every day, as well as talking to people if need be. This is a super retirement village.
Mam went into an assisted living suite for a week's trial with a view to buying and moving in, Which she has decided to do. From initially viewing the place and throughout, everyone has been a pleasure to deal with, and Mam had a really enjoyable week. The quality of the accommodation, the facilities and the helpfulness of all the staff can't be faulted. There are so many interesting events going on every day that Mam needed a rest when she came out! Can't wait for her to move in so she's near us, and we have the peace of mind that she's safe, has things to keep her occupied during the day, and she's looked after while keeping some of her independence.
The team at Richmond helped mum move in with minimal disruption and continued to help her settle and to deal with her early worries. I'm really happy she has such support and care around her and some great activities to help her feel part of a new family.
My mother has stayed here for a two-week respite and absolutely loves it. The suite she has used is beautifully furnished and the shared lounges are comfortable and spacious. The dining room is of a very high standard and the food served is of excellent quality. The service and care my mother has received have been wonderful and she is looking forward to staying there again.
The carers are all lovely and could not have done more to put my father and us at our ease and to support him. In every way, they are always kind and gentle. The grounds are beautiful and a pleasure to walk around. The food is excellent and lots of choices. Although the apartments are very nice a few of the facilities have not been designed for older people eg the way the showers work, and the signs around the home are poor for people with poor memories I think having a special carer who could mentor or be with new people more frequently in the first couple of weeks would be really helpful. Overall though this is a lovely place and we have been made to feel very welcome
