View Full Details of Templemore Care HomeMum was very at home in Templemore Care Home. She interacted with everything that went from singing to exercising and loved having a cuddle on pet day and donkey visits. Mum loved being with lots of other ladies and gents and had some good conversations on all sorts of subjects. She was very happy and all the staff were great and considerate of her needs - I think she was sad to leave as she asks where her friends are.
Satisfying in every respect.
I had a 14 night stay at Templemore in June this year and I have to say my experience was wonderful. The staff were wonderful and the management were always about if needed but I can assure you they need not be. The handover of staff was incredible and I have already asked if and when I need further respite can I go back.
Dad's experience in the home is excellent. We cannot fault anything at all and it gives the family peace of mind to know he is being really well looked after.
I'm very happy with Mum being at Templemore Care Home. She wasn't keen on going to a care home but was very much in need of it. Now she's there she loves it and most importantly the care has totally changed Mum's health. It's like she's years younger now that she's eating, drinking and taking her meds correctly, we've seen such a positive change. The staff have been brilliant, both individually and as a team, they really do care and have been so supportive to the rest of the family as well as Mum. I highly recommend Templemore to anyone considering it.
Our mother has been happy at Templemore and has been well looked after. The staff are very friendly and always there if you need them. The outside gardens are lovely in the summer and seem to make the residents a little happier to see the sun. Also, the home is in a good central location.
My mother seems happy at Templemore. All the staff are caring, polite, cheerful and very helpful. The home's activities are varied, interesting and stimulating. Mum gets all the help and assistance required. She has been to BBQs, singing sessions, the recent jubilee celebrations all arranged by the activities coordinator, plus trips out for lunch. Her recent 90th birthday was celebrated by the staff with a lovely birthday cake. Food is adequate, tea in the afternoon needs improvement, not hot enough and biscuits are not on a plate, just bought in carers hand.
My nan is very happy at Templemore. She has been in another home and seems to be much more positive about Templemore. She compliments staff and the care provided - which is positive praise from Nan.
My grandmother is extremely settled and happy at Templemore. She looks really relaxed and well looked after when we visit her. Her physical and general well-being has really improved since coming to Templemore. We, as a family, are really pleased that she is there. The staff are always happy to help and kind.
Never in my life will I see how this home has gained a 'requires improvement'. My opinion is those assessing require the improvement. The staff are beyond caring in what they do and how they care. My mum has outstanding care and I am always reassured knowing how all the staff here at every level care for the residents. Thank you will never be enough, every one of you are amazing and even more so through the challenges you have faced with Covid. Thank you all so much.
Staff seem helpful, warm and caring. COVID restrictions have made visiting difficult but hopefully, that will change soon. My mother seems settled and contented, despite her confusion and seems to get on with all the carers.
My mum has been in Templemore for a year and a half now, it has been quite a journey with her but no matter what the carers and management have been wonderful. Her needs and wellbeing are paramount to the team, that is obvious, which gives me great comfort that my mum is in the best place. The pandemic has been a difficult time for many, however, I would like to say a special thank you to all the staff for their care and due diligence, my family and I are grateful for keeping my mum safe during this time.
I would like to highly commend and thank all the staff at Templemore for the wonderful care, affection and dedication they show to my father each and every day. During these very difficult days of Covid-19, lockdown and all that has meant for care workers and staff, our loved ones living in care homes and us, their families at home, Templemore have been even more of a lifeline than before. My father has been quite unwell throughout this period and although it was so very hard not being able to comfort and encourage him myself, I had no doubts whatsoever that all the staff, whatever their role, would do their utmost on my behalf. He is now improving and regaining some strength, but without the encouragement and perseverance of the staff, I do believe he would have just stayed in bed and given up. I very much look forward to the day I am able to go and visit whenever I wish and join in with everyone again, have a good old sing-a-long and a cup of tea. Thank you so very much!
I would like to commend the manager and all the staff at Templemore for keeping my Mother and other residents safe during the current pandemic. They have successfully managed the care of my Mother who has been in hospital twice with non-COVID related illnesses and has both times been integrated back into her home and has remained COVID-free. The staff have provided excellent care in difficult circumstances and have mine and the family's gratitude.
My Mother has been in Templemore for just over a year now and is happy and content there. She is well looked after and all her needs are met without any question or worry especially at this time with the pandemic.
Mum has been a resident in Templemore since April 2016. Although at times she was extremely difficult, argumentative and awkward she was always treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and her family were always made welcome. Her last few days were much easier to cope with knowing that the staff were still on hand to support her family. Thank you to everybody who helped care for mum, and supported us last week.
The management and staff were always very kind and really helpful. They looked after my dad really well and I know that he is very happy there which meant a lot to me.
Templemore is a very good care home and is up with the best in its price ranges. It is managed and staffed by good people. The management are approachable and will discuss matters as necessary. The staff are conscientious, caring, helpful and will willingly assist with problems when asked. I would highly recommend Templemore to anyone requiring care services for their loved ones.
My mother was very happy during the month she spent at Templemore. She repeated several times how lovely all the people were, both staff and residents. Although a huge house it felt welcoming and pleasant from the moment I first walked in, the staff were very helpful and there was nothing to fault. Thank you for being so good to mum.
Just wanted to say a huge congratulations to all of the staff for their hard work on Thursday 27th June with the Alzheimer's walk. I missed the one last year as I was working, but was able to attend with my mum this time around and thoroughly enjoyed it. I really must mention the care staff....care homes and staff come in for a lot of criticism....but I can’t praise the Templemore team highly enough. There were a few very vulnerable residents attending the walk and needed some encouragement to join in, but they were so patient and understanding that it renewed my faith in human nature!!!!!! This treatment wasn’t just reserved for the few, all the residents were treated with the same patience and dignity. It was a lovely morning and the weather played its part too. Thank you!!!!
