Since Mum moved into Victoria House, we have seen a real improvement in her mental and physical wellbeing. She really enjoys spending time with the other residents and taking part in the activities on offer. We are so pleased that Mum is receiving such excellent care.
Very good, well looked after and all the staff are very nice. The bedroom and food are all nice, no complaints whatsoever.
My Mum has lived at Victoria House since July 2024 and it was her first Christmas there. All the staff are amazing and involved her in the festivities, putting on a lovely Christmas dinner on the day. Since my Mum moved to Victoria House the staff always make her and us as a family feel very included.
My wife and I have been in the home since 23.02.2024. We have found everything satisfactory. Cares are always very helpful, and food is always a good choice and always satisfactory. Medication is always on time. Laundry is always on time. Visitors are always made welcome. Activities are always plenty on. A very good hairdresser. Management is always ready to listen.
Mum has lived at Victoria House since March of this year. We have noticed a marked improvement in her mobility and it is great that she is able to socialise with her new friends. The staff at Victoria House are caring, kind and professional whilst maintaining a sense of humour - this is certainly appreciated by my mum and her friends. As a family, we are always welcomed by staff and residents and it was lovely to be able to celebrate Mum's birthday with everyone recently. It is brilliant to know that Mum is safe and well cared for every day (and night).
I've been here 7 months and the staff are very friendly and caring. If they can help they will. The staff work very hard on different units, they organise different activities every week. Staff very good. Can't do enough for you. Overall the home is very clean, the staff in the kitchen work hard. The manager makes a difference. Really good and caring.
Mum was very happy in Victoria House. The staff were always helpful and attentive. I was always made to feel welcome whenever I visited. Thank you.
When looking for a home for Mum and Dad, Victoria House stood out for me. As soon as I walked in I felt at complete ease. The staff allowed Mum's visits to look at the rooms and building before deciding as well as multiple, continuous questions. It is home from home for my parents. They have settled in so quickly and I know they are receiving 24-hour, quality care which gives me total peace of mind. They always comment on the good food, the friendly, caring staff and I can see how well they both look. All the staff are amazing and this is their job but you can see how much they care.
My mother had to go to hospital for a check on her health. The team were very attentive to her condition and kept me informed. On her return, they made her comfortable and with their care she has bounced back to her happy self. This care home is the best anyone could wish for.
The carers of Victoria House never let us down. My nan was ill for a third time in a few months and they always treat her with dignity and respect. The medical services were called but nan was never left alone. When she returned from A&E late in the evening they made sure she was comfortable and cosy for a good night's sleep. The staff are always keeping us updated and informed of how nan is. I cannot fault the care they give. As a family we are always welcomed and the fact you can visit at any time says a lot to me. We cannot thank you all enough.
My aunt has now been at Victoria House Care Home for one year. She was very reluctant to go to a home and it did take her a while to settle down. During this time the staff were extremely patient and kind to her. She has now settled down and is happy to be there. From the beginning, she has been very happy with the food service and has eaten well. Staff respond quickly and efficiently to requests for information and I have been made welcome whenever I have visited my aunt or put through on the phone to talk to her.
I am so pleased with the care that my sister is receiving at Victoria House. Since she was admitted in December 2022, the staff have been helpful, friendly and reassuring. They have treated her with consideration and dignity in order to meet her needs and helped her make the adjustment from living in her own home to being cared for with all the amenities that Victoria House has to offer plus a carefully considered care plan. Her room is spacious, homely and comfortable and I have always felt welcome when visiting. Thank you to all the staff involved.
My mum was transferred to Victoria House in early January 2023, having been assessed as needing long-term residential care. She has vascular and Alzheimer's dementia and has become quite frail. She has always been adamant that she wasn't going to go into care so I was concerned that the transfer might be traumatic and confusing for her. I have been so pleased with the welcome and the care that she is now receiving at Victoria House. The management has been friendly and approachable throughout and very reassuring. Her room is ample size and light and airy and she has easy access to the communal areas which she likes to spend time in - she is now far less isolated than when at home. the whole atmosphere of the home is friendly and caring but professional. I am relieved and very pleased that we have found an excellent home for mum.
I would like to thank all the carers at Victoria House Care Home for looking after Mum for the past six years and particularly in her last few weeks of life. She thought of you as part of her extended family. Her quality of life had deteriorated quite badly in her last few weeks but you all went the extra mile to make sure she was comfortable and well looked after and we thank you for that. Once again, thanks to everyone for the love and care they showed to my mum during her time at Victoria House Care Home.
Mum was with Victoria House for three years but unfortunately due to failing health, we had to move her to a nursing home. We cannot begin to thank the staff at Victoria House for the love and respect they showed for Mum throughout her stay. Even on her stubborn days they still treated her with humility and accepted she was having a bad day. Mum was always clean and tidy and it was obvious that she loved the staff too and would be blowing them kisses which they returned with love. Thank you to all for making Mum's stay the best it could be. We really didn't want her to leave.
My mum came into this home 18 months ago, she was treated with respect, dignity and like a human being. She did not want to go in a care home, but within a few days, she settled. All through Covid, the staff were brilliant. They keep all strict rules, so all residents are safe and also visitors. My mum was looked after by the best care team I have had the privilege of knowing. My mum recently passed away, but because of their professionalism, she was able to be pain-free and all the family were able to say goodbye to her. This I will always be grateful to them for. I would not hesitate putting anyone in this care home if they needed somewhere. Many thanks to all the team at Victoria House, Rushden.
My dear mum went to Victoria House in August 2015 after a lot of persuasion to leave her own home, after evidently not being able to cope with everyday life. She soon fitted in and loved the company and chat with the staff and other residents in the home, making many friends. We loved the fact that we could visit any time and for however long we wanted. It really was home from home. She was very happy at Victoria House until the end of her days and we will be eternally grateful for everything the wonderful staff did for her.
Our Mum spent time in Victoria House after a stay in hospital and we were delighted to see her return to her happy, smiley self after just a few days at Victoria House. All the staff are so lovely and caring and she was well looked after and treated with dignity and respect. The staff do a brilliant job in a spotlessly clean home and they all go out of their way for their residents. Thank you all so much. It was such a comfort to us to know she was being well cared for.
My Mother is in Victoria House and the staff are great with her - Mum is quite a character and can sometimes be a little demanding! She doesn't hear very well or see very well and the staff go out of their way to make life easier for her. My Father-in-law is also in Vitoria House, he has dementia and isn't at his best - but again - the staff are good with him. Thanks to the Team for all your hard work.
