View Full Details of Westlands Care HomeVery willing staff. Residents are the main priority in this home. My father loves it. Any reasonable request is tolerated.
My ex is really happy in here, so it's pleasing to myself & daughter.
All the staff at Wetlands Wellingborough Care Home treat my wife very well indeed, she can be a bit of a handfull at times. All the staff are very well trained & pleasant. My wife has been at Weslands with dementia 2 1/2 years. She eats well & she is doing as well as expected.
My mum is very happy there and that makes me happy, knowing she is settled and really loves her home.
Lovely caring staff - mum is happy and settled. I like all the activities and the way I'm kept informed with lots of photos on social media! According to mum the staff are lovely, the food is good and she feels looked after!
As a family we cannot fault the super friendly management and staff. Everyone has a smile on their faces even when faced with challenging behaviour! Our mother is so well cared for, it was by chance mum was given a room at Westlands after a fall, although initially she wanted to go home, which was impossible she soon settled, she is very fond of all the staff and has made some good friends. We do not worry about her, she is happy, well (for nearly 91!) and respected by all, who could ask for more for our much loved mum?
Westlands had a friendly feel the first time we entered while searching for a care home. My mother has always felt safe and cared for during her two years here. Excellent staff and manager. Basic facilities, but always clean and warm.
My aunt has been living in Westlands for the past year since her husband of 40 years sadly passed away. Amazing support and care my aunt has received at Westlands by the Manager and her amazing team of carers. I have had lovely welcoming visits to Westlands with my aunt and enjoyed hearing about all the activities and entertainment including dancing and creative that have been done with the residents. Thankyou very much to all the team at Westlands amazing care and support
Overall, I think the home is a caring place. The building seems quite tired & rooms could do with a freshen up. Lift is often broken for quite a while, which isn't good. The meals are good. Lack of enough toilet facilities downstairs. Staff are friendly but not a lot of interaction to stimulate the residents.
Very clean, warm, helpful and staff pleasant and happy.
My mother-in-law has only been in the care home for three weeks. Every time I have visited the staff have all been polite and helpful. She is always clean and has water available. The home is always clean and tidy.
My mother is a little on the quiet side and so does not like to cause a fuss, so when I ask the staff any questions they are extremely helpful. Whenever I visit the staff always ask if I would like a drink and will fetch my mother down to see me. In my view, the home is run extremely well and efficiently.
Very good. Staff very good with care of all residents. Greeted visit of family very good.
The staff and management here are just simply amazing they are easy to approach and answer all our questions. It's a lovely homely feel, and we are made to feel welcome. Nothing seems to be too much trouble, like moving mum to a quiet room for a visit.
My Mother went into Westlands Care Home in February 2024. This followed a series of 'short stays' in various homes over the proceeding months. Since her admission, she's been cared for in an exemplary manner, despite the issues with her behaviour (due to her conditions). The staff are welcoming and friendly and the management is available as required. My Mother is now settled and content, I cannot recommend this home highly enough!
The care my mother receives at Westlands is absolutely wonderful. With my mother needing to move into care I was incredibly worried about what the experience would be like, but everyone at Westlands has been so wonderful, kind, compassionate, welcoming, and incredibly caring. Having been incredibly worried about my mother's wellbeing, and initially visiting every day through worry, I take such comfort knowing that she is so very well cared for, treated as an individual, and know that she is safe and well and treated with such dignity, which has taken so much worry away from me, allowing a more manageable visiting pattern for me. The team do such a fantastic job, and the management team are wonderful, always having time to chat with me about any worries I may have, and they have been so incredibly supportive to not only my mother but to me also. Thank you all for everything you have done for my mother and for me too.
Since being at Westlands I feel I can relax more knowing my mother is being very well looked after. I feel the staff know her well, and she in turn responds to them. The manager has always made time for myself and my brother whenever we've needed any kind of help. Whenever we visit we've been made to feel very welcome and are always offered the home's hospitality. Westlands has a 'homely' feel about it!
When my dad moved into Westlands we were very worried not having any experience of care homes, we needn't of worried my dad loves it there, the staff are very caring, they tend to all Dad's needs, we are kept up to date with any medical issues, lovely home cooked food, the home is lovely and clean, they have entertainment most weeks. I would highly recommend Westlands for your loved ones.
The professionalism, care and understanding made the transition of my father moving in at short notice much easier to bear. My father has never looked so well. The activities, the care, everything is wonderful. We are made so welcome when we visit, Dad is always clean, freshly dressed etc. A massive thank you to all the staff and the manager. We know Dad is in good hands.
Excellent care.
