Grandma is always happy, clean and treated with dignity and respect, staff are welcoming and approachable. Food is excellent grandma has put on weight since moving to Five Gables. Keep up the good work

Mum has never been so happy. She has made many special friends with the residents and staff. She particularly enjoys days of activities which are never the same and based around everyone's favourite things to do. The staff tend to her every need and treat her with dignity and respect. All in all she is a very lucky lady to be a part of the Gables community. Thank you for taking the time to care for her.

Five Gables makes my great grandma feel so loved and welcome in the home, the care and support they give out are absolutely amazing and they really do go above and beyond to make sure that all residents feel content and comfortable whilst in the home. I just wish we had known about this home earlier!

As a family we finally made the difficult decision to move mamar into a care home as her needs became too much for us to manage safely at home. As a staff nurse myself it was vital we found a home that would give exceptional care to my mamar. We inspected the home prior without an appointment and was made to feel welcome immediately. The staff go above and beyond and always treat mamar with respect and dignity. They also do several activities throughout the week keeping mamar busy and engaged. The food is homemade and exceptional I would recommend this home in a heartbeat and it's a great relief to know our mamar is being so well looked after 24/7. Mamar's got a beautiful room that we've been able to decorate and make personal for mamar overlooking the resident ducks. Keep up the good work staff and lastly, the home is run by a wonderful approachable knowledgeable manager whom nothing is too much trouble, thank you for everything!

After visiting Five Gables care home, I had high expectations for my mums care, and I am certainly not disappointed, the staff are absolutely fantastic and so welcoming, nothings ever any trouble. They always keep me informed about mum and often send me photos of her joining in with the activities which she loves. The only regret I have is mum should had gone there sooner. I can't praise and thank all the wonderful stall enough. I would certainly recommend Five Gables to anyone.

Mum moved into the 5 Gables almost 3 years ago. She was struggling with any self-care and was very low in mood. With the kind and supported of the staff mum has made huge progress, made friends and has a real zest for life again. As a family we do not worry anymore we know she is safe and cared for. The patience and respect she receives from the staff is truly fantastic.

Really pleased with the care my father in law receives at Five Gables, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They go above and beyond in their care for the residents. Really nice that all residents received a gift at Christmas makes it feel more like home. Sometimes things can be challenging but everyone deals with situations professionally and with care. Thank you for all you do.

Fantastic care home. My dad settled very well and has been here now for 7 months. The staff are absolutely wonderful, full of fun, they show so much care and love to my father. They keep me informed how dad is doing and if his needs change. Five Gables is wonderful home and I can not rate this place highly enough. The manager and her team work so hard to make sure all the residents are looked after. Many thanks

My mum-in-law went to 5 Gables for respite and then end-of-life care. They looked after mum very well with respect and dignity. All the staff were professional caring and friendly to all our family. We would highly recommend this care home to others.

Absolutely fantastic. My mum has settled very well and is so much happier now. The staff are welcoming and keep me up to date on how my mum is doing day to day, even sending me photos of her, which puts my mind at ease. Five Gables is a home from home and I would give it 6 stars if I could.

My Father has been a resident at Five Gables since April last year and has throughout this time received excellent care. Over the last few weeks, Dad has had to spend several short periods in hospital, but has always been keen to return to Five Gables which he has seen as his home, and the carers and residents his extended family. Very sadly, Dad passed away on Monday at Five Gables. I want to praise again, both management and carers at the home for their unwavering high level of care and attention to Dad's needs. Not only that, I was welcomed to stay with Dad for the final week, and my wife and I were able to be present at the end, with the carers not far away, but still providing exactly the right level of privacy for us whilst continuing to meet Dad's needs. Whilst this situation wasn't uppermost in our minds when we chose Five Gables, my experience of the non-nursing-care appropriate at the end of life provided by the Five Gables Team was excellent.

My Dad stayed here for 2 weeks respite in April and the care was absolutely excellent. All the staff are so friendly and the food is fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them, not only did they look after my dad but the compassion for my mum when she came to visit was superb. I would definitely recommend Five Gables to anyone looking for a care home for their relatives. Well done to all the team. Thank you.

Mum has been a resident at Five Gables for 4 months now and we know she is safe, happy and well looked after. All the staff are professional, friendly and caring. Five Gables is small and comfortable where resident's individual needs are met. Food is good and all diets are catered for. I would certainly recommend Five Gables.

After a short respite visit, my mum chose to stay at Five Gables permanently. She is happy there, well cared for by the excellent staff members and management team. She has her own room where she has her photos of family. The staff are attentive and caring. The feedback we get from them is most appreciated. Mum has a view of the garden and is a lovely place to sit when the sun is out.

My father has been a resident at Five Gables Care Home for 14 months now, and is very happy and well cared for. The staff are friendly, warm, and very skilled. They work hard but are always available to respond to the residents' needs. They also provide very good feedback regarding Dad's well-being. Dad first arrived after suffering a severe stroke and needed quite specialist care, which the staff were able to provide very professionally, whilst always showing compassion and kindness. Dad gets on very well with his carers, he trusts them and feels safe. The management team are very easy to approach and always willing to discuss Dad's care. There working atmosphere in the home is excellent. We are very grateful to all the staff at Five Gables for the support they have given to our family. Five Gables is a small, comfortable and very welcoming home. There is always a calm, orderly atmosphere and the residents have space to socialise with nice activities included. Dad's room is lovely.

My mum as been there for over 8 years. She's got dementia. She didn't want to go in a care home and it was very hard going against her wishes but it was the best thing we did for her. They look after her very well. She's happy, she's safe, she's clean and she gets medication, all the things she was not getting when living at home as she would refuse any help. The staff are fantastic, they meet all of Mum's needs and do more for her health. They go above and beyond for her, they are very welcoming and keep us updated. I would highly recommend the care home, I cannot praise them enough. My mum was a mess when she went to the care home and if it wasn't for their care and support, we wouldn't have our mum here anymore.

Five Gables is a small, comfortable and welcoming care home with a pleasant interior surrounded by a pretty garden area. The room my mum stayed in was always warm and cosy and we were able to fill it with her own photos and small pieces of furniture. We always felt that she was comfortable, well looked after and, most importantly, safe. The hard-working staff were friendly, caring and particularly sensitive and professional during the final months of Mum's life, for which the family were very grateful.

I have found the staff to be competent, friendly and obliging. My mother has been in residence for nearly three years and is very happy and well looked after. They managed all the difficulties that they were presented with throughout the Covid crisis very well. I clearly only have limited experience with care homes in general but have been very happy with my experiences with Five Gables to date.

The care for my grandad here was brilliant. The place was like home from home, so this was a bonus as he settled there straight away. All the carers are very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend Five Gables for your loved ones.

My mum was a resident of Five Gables for two years up to March 2023, when she sadly passed. In all the time she was there, I never heard her make a serious complaint. Just an occasional whinge if she got mashed potato on her plate. I found the staff always kind and helpful even through Covid and more so after she had her stroke. Nothing was too much trouble, even with the extra work that was needed to look after her.
