View Full Details of Maun ViewFood is not very good. Washing goes down to be washed and comes back not ironed or does not come back at all, mum's lost four items put in dryer, should not put jumper and trousers in the dryer for long times, things come back damaged.
I researched many residential homes before selecting Maun View for my brothers long term care. Our experience has been excellent all the staff from cleaners, carers and management staff have been excellent listening to any concerns raised and quickly resolving any issues. He loves his bedroom as occasionally likes his own company and space but also loves sharing banter and jokes with the staff. The staff keep me informed of any health issues. My brother is really happy at Maun View and that is what really matters. The clerical and financial staff have also been really helpful to keep the account in order.
Everyone here is always pleasant and approachable. Staff always have time to have a friendly chat and Management door is always open. The home is always clean, warm and welcoming. Staff engage well with Residents.
Lovely care home, very clean, lovely staff. They keep the residents busy with various tasks and things to do. Love seeing the photos on social media and videos of what they have been doing.
My dad has been a resident for 2 and a half years and I am very happy with the care he receives. He loves the food, his room is good and he enjoys the activities he participates in. Staff are kind and caring to relatives and to residents. It's not easy when your relative has dementia and the staff are extremely supportive.
My mother has been in Maun View for more than a year now. She has severe dementia. We have had experience of 4 previous care homes for her, and by comparison, Maun View is excellent. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that we were being cared for as a whole family. The care is exemplary, with every member of staff engaged and interested in doing a great job for the residents. This in my opinion is a testament to the quality of the leadership. They have fostered an environment of transparency and support of their staff, such that they feel able to give their best and be involved in the decision-making and shaping of the running of the home. They clearly know and respect each other and so function well as a team. There are always willing smiles and kindness; they know our names and which resident is ours. I appreciate very much that they find the time for a brief chat with me about Mum almost every time I go. This personal touch means a lot to us.
I had to make the most difficult decision of my life to put my husband into care. Maun View was recommended to me and I rang to ask about it. That was the best phone call ever made. He is now settled and happy in the home. I can sleep and eat again, which I wasn't doing due to the stress of trying to care on my own. I know he is well looked after and supported and the activities are really good for him. A big thank you from me.
The Maun View team are really excellent. The care and attention to my mother-in-law's needs is second to none. It is refreshing that they put her first at all times.
The staff very friendly, welcoming and very approachable. Always available to chat. They were very attentive and caring to Mum. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The care home is always very clean and tidy in all communal areas as well as personal spaces. They have a great selection of foods, snacks and drinks always available. I would highly recommend to anyone asking.
I got to see my Sister and Brother-in-law every week on different days and always find the staff very friendly and professional and always there if you need help. It is a big relief to know they are happy, well cared for, and treated with respect. They do activities every day with trips out and are happy for you to join in. I couldn't ask for a better home for my family and a big thank you for their excellent care.
My mum has currently lived here for 6 years and my dad and grandma before that. The care they give here is wonderful. Residents are treated like one of their own and the management and team are always open to discussion about anything at all. The environment of the home is clean, modern and homely and the food is great. There are a wide variety of activities, entertainment and outings that are on offer very regularly with consideration given to many different abilities. Communication with relatives is excellent and I have complete peace of mind that my loved one is cared for.
From my very first meeting with staff at Maun View, I felt reassured that my mum’s well-being was of paramount importance. I was also impressed that my well-being was important to them too. It has been clear over the last 3 months that Maun View has a culture of kindness, caring and compassion. The leadership team is honest and transparent, appearing to understand and value their staff which fosters the supportive and inclusive environment that I see at every visit. I am confident that my mum’s needs (both mentally and physically) are being met.
We moved my grandma to Maun View a few months before Christmas. Her improvement has been astounding in everything from her dementia and mood to her cleanliness. She frequently is taken on trips out and given many opportunities to stimulate her mind. She is certainly a happier and more content person at Maun View. Thank you to the manager and the team.
Excellent care, staff are amazing. Management are brilliant.
My mum has been a resident at Maun View for two weeks. I and my family are very happy with the care my mum is receiving. The staff, deputy manager and manager always make us feel welcome. The activities are really good, it's so nice that the family is asked to join with activities.
As a family, we are happy with the care that Mum is getting, however, more to the point, Mum is happy and after all that, surely is what families want. The management are extremely helpful, obliging and approachable. Really lovely. The nursing and care staff are lovely, friendly and work really hard, they will answer any queries or find a staff member who can.
The staff are always very pleasant, in my experience, there is always somebody calling in on my relative to check up on her well-being. She is very happy with her treatment and is constantly praising the staff. I have only seen two meals and I could have eaten them both. The services are comprehensive and make her life much more pleasant and natural. Although she prefers not to take part in most of the varied activities, she is always invited to join in. A perfect home-from-home and the manager is lovely. If I had to be in a home it would be top of my list.
It is a daunting task to find a care home for a family member, but Maun View stood head and shoulders above the other homes we visited. The staff are amazing and go the extra mile to provide activities, trips out and very recently, a visit to the pantomime in Mansfield. Last week we were able to join Mum in a beautiful Christmas lunch at the home and it was fabulous. Even better, is the fact that we know she is wonderfully well looked after by the amazing staff, to whom we will always be grateful.
I find the staff and management to be very friendly and helpful and they look after my partner very well. I don't think I could wish for a better service.
My husband has been here a year now and I have full confidence that he is always safe and well cared for. All his needs are well met.
