View Full Details of Moriah HouseMy husband has dementia and has been there for two and a half months. I have no complaints, staff are great, meals are varied, lot of entertainment and very clean. The staff go the extra mile with patients and visitors. Also security is excellent.
My father came here during the COVID outbreak in 2019. His dementia meant he was challenging for the staff who managed his condition with care, compassion and dignity. The staff were always approachable and professional. I believe this was the best option for him and I have never had cause to regret it.
It's a very good uncaring home. Staff full very caring and supportive to the residents. It's a very clean and lovely home to be in.
Wonderful staff. Keeps me informed with any problems/information etc. I think we are lucky to have a system like care homes in this country. I couldn't do this on my own. No problems with the home that I can see. Thank you.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Don't mind being asked to do things for my sister.
Office paperwork needs completing sooner rather than later. Food needs to be cut up into very small pieces, without skin etc and a knife and fork provided. My dad is looked after quite well by the staff. He seems content and very well fed. He seemed settled.
After the first few days, my sister settled very comfortably into her lovely room, happy to have her TV and some of her possessions. The level of care from staff is consistently kind and enthusiastic. It is a great relief to know she is being so well and kindly cared for all the time.
The staff are wonderful, although recently a large amount of staff left, I found this worrying as many of them were staff I had come to know over the years, and who knew my mum and cared for her very well. Mum is happy and clearly cared for so I am overall happy with everything.
My wife has just died. The staff were very kind and sympathetic, both when I visited and in her final hours. She had Alzheimer's and despite the fact she had almost no communicative skills and was heavily reliant on help to do the most basic tasks, they were very supportive and I never had any cause for concern about her treatment. The home itself is not luxurious, but her room was very pleasant and the atmosphere in the home was very good. It was kept very clean. The food was very good and the laundry service, excellent. Most importantly, my wife was happy.
My mum has dementia and move into Moriah House after a difficult period when her health had deteriorated significantly. Within a couple of weeks, she was walking, eating and drinking normally again. I believe this is due to the quality of care she received. The staff are friendly and welcoming and I truly appreciate their kindness to my mum when she can be quite challenging due to her dementia.
My grandmother came into respite care after a difficult few months at home. From the start, all the staff have been kind and caring towards my grandmother. The care she is receiving is more than we could ask for and made the transition into care very easy for my grandmother and family.
It is a pleasure to visit a very dear friend at the home. The staff are very pleasant and are to be admired for doing a very difficult job with a smile. I spoke to a senior today who exhibited an aura of professional capability coupled with an innate sense of optimism for the future. Well done guys.
Appreciating that it was a difficult time over Dec 2021 and most care homes had to close their doors yet again, it was a very poor experience that our loved one endured. The staff were pleasant, but basic care needs were unfortunately neglected, such as hygiene of the resident, one bath and shower in 4x weeks. Food was very basic and lacking in choice, having no bacon when requested even though other residents were eating it. No porridge either on some days. Clothing missing after going to the laundry, even though labelled. Ten pairs of new pants missing, only had the pants they left in and wasn't sure how long they had been wearing them, but hadn't had any clean ones to wear. No activities arranged over Xmas period. The weekly cost of this home should be revised, as it is expensive as the Care Commission report suggests....overall requires improvements. We have found much better and cheaper, without compromise on care. We wouldn't recommend.
I have been very impressed by Moriah House, especially the care staff. They are friendly, cheerful and genuinely seem to care about my mum. I live abroad, I have been here for 2 weeks and it is my last day tomorrow, but I can leave feeling happy she is in good hands. Every time we have visited Mum, we have had a friendly welcome. The food is excellent and the facility is clean. I would highly recommend this facility.
Staff are very helpful and supportive and make visitors feel welcome. Always around and answer any questions you may have, looked after my friend very well and would recommend this home to family and friends.
Two of my relatives were moved to Moriah House at short notice. They have both settled in extremely well and appear to be very happy. Apart from 2 falls since admission, the carers are always present in the living room and appear to keep a close eye on the residents. They both seem clean and well cared for in spite of their incontinence issues. Staff and management are very friendly and helpful. Food and snacks are excellent.
The care for my Grandma has been excellent. The staff are very loving and caring towards her. They have been amazing with us all as a family. I couldn't have wished for better care for her.
I am very happy to have found this home for my mum. The staff are great and after a month of visiting, it's like being part of the family. The manager is great and made the whole transition for my mum and our family a lot easier. The manager is very approachable to discuss anything, mum has settled in very well in such a short space of time so far. Lovely place and staff. A+ Would recommend.
I am a regular visitor in the capacity of visiting relatives (my sister in law was cared for for 5 years and got very good care) Recently another sister in law (89) is there and she too is well cared for. The staff are very friendly and patients are always kept clean. There is no smell contrary to some other homes I have visited in the past. I also visit two residents and give them Holy Communion which they look forward to. Staff have full respect of this and all overall is a pleasant home.
We are delighted to have found such a caring home with long serving staff whose focus is the happiness of its residents. Mum happily showed us her colour coordinated room with a lovely view and comfy bed. She praises the freshly cooked meals and thinks the staff are wonderful. What more could we ask than to have found this oasis in a sea of homes where we know mum is safe and happy and we, at last, have peace of mind.
