View Full Details of Red Roofs Residential Care HomeMum and Dad were looked after so well over the last two or three years. They have both passed on now and are together again at last. Such care and compassion were shown to them. All of their family took heart and were so relieved to know they were safe and their needs were met around the clock. Their rooms were always kept spotlessly clean, all credit to the ancillary staff as well as their excellent carers. As my Sister says, they were privileged to stay in their 'home' with no unnecessary visits to hospital until they died in their surroundings and with the people who knew them both so well. We would wholeheartedly recommend Red Roofs to anyone looking for a special place for their loved ones. From the bottom of our hearts to all the staff. Thank you.
The time has come for me to place a review after mum passed away peacefully following nearly 3 years of her home being Red Roofs. She and Dad took up residence just before their 70th wedding anniversary. This was duly celebrated, and they settled down quickly, right from the very beginning with care and respect, and friendliness. When Dad died we were so very pleased he was cared for in his 'home', with no unnecessary transfer to hospital, and then the same again with Mum. The words love, care, and respect, over and over again. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and l always used to think it was a pleasure to step into such a friendly atmosphere, always made welcome, always given time. My only regret is that you didn't know Mum when she could hold a conversation, knit a baby garment for you, take an interest in your children, and laugh and smile with you. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
I've been so impressed with the warmth and welcome my Aunt received when she moved in last week. The staff have all been very kind and efficient and there is a real homely feel as soon as you walk in the door.
My mother lived at Red Roofs from June to September 2024. Although her time was short there my family was so impressed with the calm and pristine environment. Mum was supported by a very dedicated and caring team of staff who worked well together to provide a warm and caring place for the residents. Three members of staff were particularly kind to my mum and helped her to settle into her new home. Mum's room was always kept immaculately clean and the family was reassured that she was in safe hands under the stewardship of the manager and her deputy. The staff go above and beyond to organise interesting activities for residents and it was pleasing to see Mum participating in the Home's summer fete, a pizza-making class, and a tribute singer who sang songs from her favourite famous singers. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who helped to make the last few months of Mum's life more bearable.
My mother is a resident at Red Roofs. On my first visit after her arrival, I was extremely impressed with the home's accommodation, the public rooms, and her room. All the staff are very caring and friendly and went out of their way to make us welcome and made visits very pleasant. We were met with tea and biscuits and allowed to use the very pleasant private lounge, where eight of us were able to have a very natural visit. All our family are extremely happy that Mum is so comfortable and well cared for. The home put on activities and Mum was involved in pizza making! This is a first-class care home.
Great place and the staff keep you informed of what is happening with trips and events and is always happy to make you a cuppa. They love people visiting the residents and seeing everyone smile. My dad loves it. Thanks, everyone.
Mum moved into Red Roofs in November 2023, the home is very well managed. Mum has settled in extremely well. All staff are absolutely committed to providing the best care, they are always friendly, welcoming, professional, polite, and we feel assured Mum is in a safe and caring environment and her needs are met. I cannot praise the care home highly enough. Mum loves her room, and all activities she gets involved with, lovely food and so very clean throughout. Thank you Red Roofs and all staff members, I would highly recommend Red Roofs Residential Home.
I cannot praise and recommend the management and staff of Red Roofs highly enough. They are a team of dedicated, hard-working and passionate staff who try to make every resident feel special by providing activities focused on their hobbies and interests. They all went far above and beyond to make my Mum's dream of being a part of her grandson's wedding come true although she was not able to attend. They made buttonholes for everyone, did Mum's hair and make-up, got her a fascinator and put her in her best finery. Then they helped her record a very special message to the happy couple. Afterwards, they helped her celebrate with a little fizz, ice creams, a special tea and even made a wedding cake! Later there was music and a little dancing. She thoroughly enjoyed it and I could see how much it meant to her to be a part of and celebrate with her friends. What an amazing and thoughtful thing for them to organise for her. Thank you all so much. I certainly highly recommend Red Roofs.
My mother was a resident in Redd Roofs care home for four years up until her death in April 2024. She was always well cared for and all the staff were brilliant. It was a very well-organised care home. Credit due to management. You always made welcome when you visited and always a smile. In my opinion, it is the best care home in the area.
We always found the staff very welcoming and friendly whenever we visited our auntie. They have plenty of activities, lovely food and very clean. My auntie is always clean and dressed well.
I cannot praise the care home too highly. I am so grateful that they are caring for my friend so well.
Outstanding care. My mother is so well cared for, the staff are kind and considerate. The home is beautiful, all of the staff work really hard to create such a beautiful home for my mother. Thank you from her eldest daughter.
As my father-in-law's health declines, all the staff who've been on duty whilst I've been present, have been professional, caring, and efficient. My father-in-law always speaks highly of them, and believe me, he'd be very vocal about any issues he had with his care.
Went beyond. Recently, a group of friends from Dad's old singing group and I decided that since Dad could no longer go to the club, we would visit him to sing. Despite arriving when staff were rushed off their feet just after lunch, we couldn't have been made more welcome. A pot of tea of tea and biscuits promptly arrived to wet our whistles and we were off singing, with other residents joining in. A great time was had by all and we'll definitely do it again.
We came to visit my wife's grandad in the home as he has got worse recently and isn't able to come out much. It was my first time to see him at the home, I haven't been to many homes before but I was really surprised at how welcoming and comfortable it felt. The staff were really nice to us and very nice to Grandad - he seemed to have a genuine rapport with them and they honestly seemed to care about him as a person and not just a client. We were able to go into a lounge upstairs without people in which was nice as my little daughter could then be herself without worrying about disturbing others. I know Grandad never really wanted to go to a home but he has seemed to respond well in his time there even with his slow decline, you always worry that taking away the familiar will be really negative but the home has cared for his needs both physically and mentally and the community they created has helped his life be enriching as possible.
Very welcoming during our visit, offered tea/coffee and given private room to use. My grandad seems very happy there, settled and looked after very well. Staff were kind, polite and helpful. Other residents looked happy too.
Red Roofs is my mum's home. She is loved and cared for with exemplary care by all members of the team from the carers to the housekeepers. She is healthier and more content than she has been at home for several years. All of her complex needs are provided for without any qualms. Her happiness and well being is the driving force. I feel very grateful that I know she is happy, safe and well cared for. The ethos of the home is that life is for enjoying not just for living.
All the ladies have been and are amazing in this care home. The care and attention to detail they have given my granny is outstanding. A special thank you to one lady particularly. I will forever be grateful for the care you have given her. You have gone above and beyond in every single way. Thank you so much.
As a family, we are always pleased with the care that our mum receives also we know she is in a safe and caring environment so we dont have any worries about her. Staff are always kind and helpful and very approachable.
We moved our mother in a time of covid restrictions, the staff did all they could to make her transition from another care home, go smoothly. The staff are welcoming, professional and caring, nothing seems too much for them. Our mother loves the food and the activities. We feel assured that she is in a safe and loving place and her needs are met. Thank you Red Roofs. It is so important to us that she is happy.
