View Full Details of Nottingham Care VillageI was impressed by Nottingham Care Village from my very first visit. It is in a lovely location, and Dad's room had a really pleasant view over gardens, green space and chickens! The staff are warm, welcoming and caring- they were flexible to dad's needs, even working with a physio on his visit, and making arrangements for dad to share in family birthday celebrations. Dad loved the food, especially the homemade cakes every afternoon, and the whole family felt supported by the staff team. The facilities were clean and ideal for Dad. An excellent experience for us; would highly recommend it.
Amazing! Having visited here every day for the last 8 days and with lots of experience of other care homes, these guys should be CQC outstanding and beyond. The love and care that they show towards each resident is heartwarming to watch. They encourage individualism, acceptance of differences and nurture the concept that this is not their workplace, but home for each and every resident. I can visit at any time of day, totally unannounced and what I see is the same every time. I have met many different members of staff from carers to managers, handyman and chef and each one has compassion and respect. Above all they put the CARE into care home.
My friend went to Nottingham Care Village for a week respite and I would recommend this care home. The food was excellent and the staff are all very friendly and very kind. Thank you for all that you did for my friend while she had her weeks stay at the care home.
As a frequent visitor to my family in 3 separate care homes, I can confidently state that Nottingham Care Village is exceptional in the high quality of care it provides. A clean, warm, welcoming and safe environment for residents with home cooked nutritious meals. I have no hesitation in recommending it but will leave the last words to my mother-in-law who has been a happy resident for 3 years: "The staff are wonderful and can't do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble."
Visited my elderly aunt who transferred from another home a few months ago. She seems so much happier and content with her surroundings. We could not believe that she was finally eating again. Would highly recommend the home.
Overall, an excellent care home.
I moved my mother from another care home, as was worried about her care. Left on her own a lot, and was losing weight. Since moving to this care home Mum has gained weight, and got a lot more involved with things going on at the home. She enjoys her meals now, and is always offered a choice of food. She is drinking so much better too. So looks more alert. Staff are so lovely here with all the residents, and take an interest in both my mum and myself when I visit. I am now getting regular updates face to face, and also on the phone when needed. The home is wonderful, Mum is happy, it's been the best decision I made to move her here. The home and manager are first-class. Happy my mum will spend her last few years being so well cared for.
My brother-in-law moved to the home one week ago and the move was smooth as his old care home was closing down. The management were excellent in helping with his funding and smooth transition. The home is very clean, warm and tidy, smells lovely and all the staff are very friendly. My brother-in-law tells us that the food is excellent and also the hairdresser, where today he had a trim, was very good. The home have very high standards. Keep up the great work.
My brother has settled into the home perfectly. The staff are very attentive. The home is spotless. The manager is lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend the chefs are amazing - my brother loves all the homemade cooked food. The grounds are lovely for a walk around too.
Overall the care home was excellent. Staff seemed very friendly, as did management. Residential rooms are good, with all necessary facilities. Rest rooms clean and tidy. Curtains in rest room could maybe be updated! Particularly like the idea of memory boxes on room entrances with photo recognition by doorway.
I made a visit to my sister's first few weeks at Nottingham Care Village and immediately saw an improvement in her health and wellbeing from when I last saw her at her previous home in September. I saw her walking with her walking aid individually, amazing, and her positive and clear vision of her future improved, as well as her outlook to being independent again. I mentioned all of this and my feeling that well and professional, dedicated care has helped her to feel good once more about her - highly recommended.
Mum is very happy at Nottm Care Village; her room has rural views, and she loves watching the chickens. The staff are wonderful, so caring and respectful, always with a smile and a few words. The food is fresh, varied and delicious. She enjoys the company in the lounge, the entertainment and activities. Our family is grateful for the care she receives; it more than meets her needs physically and socially. It truly has a feeling of home when more care is needed.
Mum hasn't been in the home for very long, but everyone made her feel at home and immediately got her involved in activities, having her hair done etc. Can't praise staff enough for going the extra mile e.g. cleaning chairs from previous home, manicures, impromptu entertainment by staff. There is always someone on hands to talk to if there are any issues. A very good find!
My grandma has been a resident here for over a year now and she loves it! The staff are so friendly and have been a saving grace during such a hard adjustment period for both my grandma and us as a family. Highly recommend!
After a lengthy stay in the hospital, my mum eventually moved into Nottingham Care Village. The care she received was first class, a lovely room and looked after by a great team. The management, the carers, the cooks, the cleaners and the maintenance staff are all fantastic. Set in a lovely location, this is a great place to have loved ones looked after.
My Grandad stayed in Nottingham Care Village to allow my mum and dad to have a holiday, as they care for him at home. My Grandad enjoyed his stay at the home, especially the food with fresh vegetables and homemade puddings every day. My Grandad said all the staff were lovely and treated him with respect at all times. I was sad I could not visit him during his stay because of the pandemic but kept in touch via zoom and telephone which was important for me, he is not very tech-savvy, so the lovely staff took time out of their day to assistant with setting up the calls. The management team were lovely, before he arrived they took details of his preferences from things like how he had his tea, his routine throughout the day and even to what side of the bed he got out of whilst he was at home, this was very reassuring for my parents who had initial worries about sending him for respite, this alone reassured them he would be well looked after. My Grandad would love to stay with them again.
My grandmother moved to Nottingham Care Village in December 2019 at the age of 101. I have always been reassured that the care home is extremely well run and that my grandmother's best interests are at the forefront of the carer's actions. The home is immaculate and the services they offer are first rate. This had been particularly evident during the current Coronavirus pandemic. They went into lockdown early and did their very best to obtain the relevant PPE and worked extremely hard to get the tests the government promised. I was able to speak to my grandmother whenever I wanted to and I received updates on her health when appropriate. Now I can finally visit my grandmother all the requirements laid down by the government are being adhered to. I am very pleased I chose Nottingham Care Village for my grandmother's care.
After a stay in hospital over Christmas my mother spent a weeks respite care at Nottingham Care Village. The care she received there was exemplary, everyone was extremely helpful and after initial misgivings, my mother settled and was quite contented.
My mother needed emergency respite care following a fall, the manager and the team were amazing from the first phone call until we said goodbye. They showed kindness and understanding and couldn't have been more helpful in getting Mum settled in. They encouraged Dad to come and have his meals so that they could be together which I thought showed the depth of understanding of people's needs in these situations. Thank you all again.
My friend recently spent a week here to recover from a minor operation. She thoroughly enjoyed every minute of her stay. She was very pleased with the size and cleanliness of her room. She felt safe in her room knowing there were safety cords, buzzers and a pressure mat by the bed. All the staff were kind and friendly making her feel very welcome and well looked after. She enjoyed all her meals. The home is surrounded by gardens and paths to stroll on when the weather is fine with an abundance of garden furniture to sit on in the summer. The home is bright and the three lounges are very tastefully decorated. Friends and I were made very welcome when we visited. Being offered cake and a cup of tea was an added bonus. I personally was very satisfied with the care and attention she received and would recommend the home to friends. My friend was pleased to have experienced a week here and said she wouldn't hesitate in going back if she felt the need for another week's respite or longer care.
