View Full Details of Tuxford Manor Care HomeI came to visit dad on Saturday, I had such a reaffirming of the care shown to the residents. Sat with dad while he slept, I heard two of the carers singing to the residents while showering them. It was nice to know that even without family members present they still devoted their time and care to the residents.
Due to the short time my wife has been in Tuxford Manor Care Home, I have found the management and staff have kept me well informed on everything that has to do with her health and welfare. For which I am truly grateful and thank them for that and know how hard they all work. A big thank you to all.
Mum has been here for about 4 years. We are all very happy with Tuxford Manor and the staff. Couldn't be better cared for. Thank you all.
Mum went into care at Tuxford Manor at the end of October 2024. This was a very stressful time for me and my husband, I have got to say this is a fabulous care home, very caring and compassionate, like one big family. They understood our concerns and made it easier for her to transition into full-time care. I love going to see her here and I know she is looked after and safe.
My brother is a resident at Tuxford Manor. I would like to express my best wishes and immense gratitude to the management and staff. They have shown compassion and warmth to my brother, which I will eternally remember. Words cannot express how grateful I am. Thank you all so very much.
The facility care manager is amazing! The care staff and nursing staff are attentive and compassionate. Through my entire experience at Tuxford Manor visiting my brother-in-law, I've been beyond impressed with how willing, supportive and understanding they've been. Would highly recommend this facility. Heartfelt thanks.
Staff at Manor Lodge are marvellous. Our wedding anniversary is on October 3rd, I brought buns and cake in on October 2nd and asked if we could have 3 plates for tomorrow. "Yes, of course, why did you not tell a member of staff it was your anniversary?" (I never gave it thought, men never do!). We were greeted with a plate full of sandwiches and drinks. Thank you all. It made a nice afternoon.
My mum had a fall and was in hospital for 2 weeks. The hospital doctor said she couldn't walk or sit in a chair unaided. She couldn't use the toilet or ear and drink unaided. After one month at Tuxford Manot she is walking with her trolley, sitting up, eating and drinking unaided. Using the toilet unaided. She has made a remarkable recovery all due to the wonderful staff and carers and the professional care they have provided.
Mum has been a resident for over 18 months now and I can honestly say that from the first day Mum arrived after being transferred from the hospital on a temporary visit that we decided Mum was so well looked after and made to feel so welcome that we decided not to move her and was 100% the best decision.
Staff always willing to help even though they are always busy. Staff and management always on hand to answer any queries or questions I had while Mum was staying with them.
The staff from the manager down work with you to give a lovely atmosphere and are always very helpful.
Great service. Friendly staff. Very good communication. Peace of mind my father is being well catered for. Cannot fault.
Tuxford Manor: A Care Home Like No Other. Located in the picturesque countryside. Tuxford Manor has gained a stellar reputation as the best care home in the area. Residents have access to the secure outdoors and enjoy fresh air, and plants and are allowed to do a little gardening. As a concerned individual, you want nothing but the finest services for your loved ones. The dedicated staff at Tuxford Manor is truly exceptional. The manager is an expert on dementia and care. They provide personal hairdressing, beauty and care services to the residents. My mother who had dementia had her remaining time spent in care with amazing staff. I could not wish for a better final resting than Tuxford Manor. A big thank you to all the staff, especially my mother's personal carer. I mention Tuxford Manor to anyone looking for a care home within the area, amazing place!
Wonderful, caring staff, nothing's too much trouble. All staff are very kind.
My father has been at Tuxford Manor Care Home for a year and the care home staff, without exception, have been outstanding. They have a great rapport with him and genuinely care for his welfare during what has been a difficult time with his wife's health problems. They are always happy to chat with us and respect our opinions. The staff themselves seem happy in their jobs which must reflect positively on the management of the care home. Dad would like to pass on his comments that in his view "they are all absolutely wonderful".
My mum is in Tuxford Manor Care Home suffering with Alzheimer's disease and went into the care home early summer 2023. She settled in very quickly and has a lovely bedroom overlooking the garden and fields which has always been important to Mum. The staff are lovely and always come over to say hello to me too. My dad was also in there for a few years but his issues were more physical. He also enjoyed the company and was able to talk to staff. Mum enjoys having other people around and can walk around freely, both in the home and garden. Some of the staff are still there from when my dad went in which was nice when I had to take Mum there last year. My dad kept falling over and Mum has had a couple of falls but I've always been kept informed and helped in different ways. My dad passed away during the second Covid spell but the home was very helpful at this time. The manager and all the senior members of staff are always happy to oblige. Thank you.
The management and care home staff know how to meet my mother's needs, and are very supportive of not just the resident, but mindful of the impact on the family. This is something we have never experienced in other care homes. The statement that resonated for me was, we are not just responsible for the welfare of our residents, we are also responsible for the welfare of family members, especially those who are struggling to cope with seeing loved ones with dementia/mental health problems.
My mother has been residing at Tuxford Manor Care Home since the end of August 2023 and the whole experience has been excellent. The management were extremely helpful during the transition and made the move from home to care home very smooth and not stressful at all. The whole staff team are very approachable, always smiling, nothing is too much trouble and my mother is getting first-class care around the clock. The facilities are excellent, the entrance has lovely decor and extremely welcoming. The rooms are of adequate size and during the good weather, my mother loved sitting in the beautiful gardens. Overall, we have been very impressed with Tuxford Manor and rate it very highly.
My dearest husband was a resident at Tuxford Manor Care Home since April 2021. He settled in very well and was really happy and content. The carers communicated well with him. The food is excellent. His room was spotless as was the whole of the home. They have entertainment for the residents, chair exercises every fortnight and interaction and activities during the week. When a GP is required, he is very prompt and efficient. If I had a choice of going to a care home, Tuxford Manor would be my choice.
A high standard of care is given at all times. The manager always has time to talk to the family about any concerns we have, in particular while Mum has been ill. The home is clean and welcoming, and the gardens beautiful.
