View Full Details of St Martins Residential HomeMy son is in St Martins Residential Home, it is like home from home the staff are like one of the family. I have no worries with him being in though, I would recommend St Martins to anyone that needs a care home.
Absolutely incredible place, my grandad lives here. It's super friendly super clean very professional couldn't fault the place. 10 out of 10 in all areas. We looked for a long time trying to find the right care and this place ticked all the boxes. My grandad is happy here and I'm happy he's here being looked after very well. Thank u to the staff for all you do.
Wonderful caring people who have looked after my mum through two very challenging months. Her condition has improved massively in recent weeks. The home is comfortable, modern and warm. Mum's room is very recently modernised with an ensuite toilet. If we had the option we would keep Mum in her own home but St Martins would be the next best choice. Many thanks to the manager and her staff.
When my mam first went into St Martins it was not a nice place, but we didn't have much choice as it all happened just at the start of Covid, l can say the staff have always been good to my mum, we've had some ups and downs along the way but l do think it's turned out for the best, it's a lot better now it's had some money spent on it, long overdue.
We have been very pleased with the friendliness and professionalism of the members of staff. Mum was reluctant to move into a home, but she has really adjusted, with the support of the staff, and has settled in really well. The standard of care is very high and caring.
The manager was brilliant, a lovely and very helpful lady. My mum stayed for two weeks respite and settled there very quickly. She was very happy joining in with the day's activities. She has eaten well and slept comfortably every night. The home was very clean and staff friendly. The atmosphere was calm and homely. I will definitely use this home in the future for both my Mum and Grandma when needed. Thank you for looking after my Mum.
My dad has been a resident of St. Martin's Care home for 4 months now. St. Martins has recently had a major refurbishment throughout. All the bedrooms have been beautifully decorated and fitted out with dementia-friendly furniture. There has also been a big investment in upgrading the Fire and Security systems. The manager always has time for you when you visit, and is rightly very proud of the care the home provides. This is reflected in every member of staff. They all work so hard to keep the home clean and safe, and have lovely relationships with all the residents. I am very happy that my Dad is in a clean, safe and caring environment.
My mum is now a full-time resident at St Martins, having stayed multiple times for short respite breaks during the early stages of dementia. I have always been completely happy with the care Mum receives - when I visit her she is always clean and tidy and cared for. I am further reassured that if she is ill I get a phone call, and similarly, if I am away I can ring at any time for an update as to her well-being. Whilst the property was not purpose-built, I have noted over the years considerable upgrading works, and recently there has been a total refurbishment resulting in all the rooms being beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard. However, my main concern is that Mum is well looked after and contented, and to this end, the staff are always kind and attentive to her needs.
When my aunt first went into St Martin's I was concerned about her room which I thought was very small, she has been moved to a beautiful room overlooking the garden, and it's lovely. The home has been revamped and it's now a warm and clean environment for all the residents. The garden is gorgeous. One staff member in particular and the other carers are lovely and understand my aunt and the chefs are outstanding. My congratulations to the manager on turning the home into a home if that makes sense, she has worked her socks off. A big thank you to another staff member for his humour and patience with my aunt.
Couldn't wish for any better care for my father. All staff are really friendly and helpful. Food is great and all efforts are made to please residents and families. The cleanliness is second to none and laundry is well taken care of.
We had to place our dad into care with vascular dementia, something we thought we would never have to do. Phoned St Martins, with it being local to get to. From the first call to arrange a viewing, we were greeted by the manager who showed us around the home, to our dad becoming a resident there the manager has been on hand whenever we needed to talk, plus keeps us updated on how dad is doing. The manager is a lovely lady always smiling and a very caring person. All carers are friendly and caring towards all residents. It is reassuring that we know our dad is in good hands and safe. St Martins is undergoing a full refurbishment and every room looks lovely/fresh and clean.
My father has been here for a long time now, staff are very welcoming and friendly. They do arts and crafts with residents. Watch films and have sing-alongs as well. Decorated recently, very clean and all staff approachable and caring. Manager is available when requested to talk with as well. One big family with around-the-clock care. My father has been very happy and comfortable here with all his needs catered for daily.
My dad has been a resident of this nursing home for eight months. He is partially sighted and has dementia that severely affects his short-term memory. After having initial concerns about my dad moving to a care home I can confidently say that this care home has alleviated my worries about him. All the staff and managers are fantastic and clearly enjoy their job, looking after my dad in the best way possible, and keeping him entertained. There is an improvement in my Dad's happiness, which makes me happy and takes away my worries and stress. The home has a wonderful location and is quiet, clean and warm. My Dad told me it is a home-from-home, which is fantastic as initially he just wanted to go home, I couldn't have hoped for a better place. A big thank you to everybody there.
My husband has been a resident in the home now for about 6-months. He is suffering from well-advanced dementia, and he is well cared for and looked after by everyone, and he is quite contented and happy in his own world. The food is very good with plenty of choice and drinks of all kinds are available to him and the other residents any time of the day. The care he is receiving is full of kindness, and nothing is too much trouble for his carers. The manager is very approachable and is always available if I require any assistance, information or advice. I would recommend St Martins Care Home if I was asked to do so by any of my acquaintances.
My brother came here in 2019, nice care home, and the staff are very helpful and pleasant, nothing is too much for them. My brother is well looked after, has a nice room where he can go if he chooses and listen to his radio, visiting not a problem and the dinners always small amazing. Well done to everyone.
My Mother has been in this care home for 2 years now, and I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. Meals are very good. My mum can choose between going to rest on her bed or watch a TV or listen to music or getting involved with any other activities.
Nice care home; Grandad is in and is very happy. Nice and friendly staff there. Caring towards patients.
I have been living at St Martins for eight months. The staff are very friendly and helpful when I have any concerns. I enjoy my meals with a variety of choice, frequent snacks and drinks. I enjoy joining in with activities, especially bingo. The management is understanding, and always courteous. It's a small home, but I am very happy with my care.
