My dad broke his arm in 2 places and couldn't cope alone at home. He was
sent to Laburnum Lodge to recuperate and get help with daily care. He
also has vascular dementia. Immediately on arrival he was made to feel
welcome and cared for. The staff have been wonderful throughout the
month he has been there. They have been unfailing kind, courteous,
helpful, understanding, professional and most importantly have always
treated my dad with dignity so that even when he had to have help with
showering he didn't feel upset or embarrassed. I think the staff do a
wonderful job and wish they could realise the difference they make to
residents and their families.
