View Full Details of The DellI can't thank the staff at The Dell enough for their kindness and care. My sister has been in their care for some time now and her three sons have complete peace of mind knowing that she's in very good hands. They visit her regularly and see at first-hand the caring staff. The entertainment is fabulous and regular, not just now and then. Thank you.
Friendly atmosphere, lovely staff always happy to help.
Myself and my sister call regularly to see our Mum. We always find her clean, warm, and comfortable. Any health issues she has encountered have been dealt with immediately, she enjoys the entertainment and the friendliness of all the staff and the many residents. We are delighted with her care and so thankful for all that the staff do for her. It comforts us to know that we never have to worry or be concerned about her. Thank you.
Mum went to the Dell for assessment after a serious stroke and subsequently falling at home. It was a really scary time for us as a family and confusing and frightening for Mum. Mum has received the best care here. The Manager is fantastic, the staff are wonderful. Everyone works so hard, they're kind, caring and incredibly supportive. The home itself is tired and outdated, however, Mum has settled really well and we've decided to allow Mum to stay permanently. My hope is that the home will be updated, and new shower facilities are desperately needed. In the meantime, we're incredibly grateful to all the staff for looking after Mum and treating her like family.
My nan has been at The Dell since December last year after living independently into her early 90s - she always said she wasn't having carers or going into a care home home as she's always been Little Miss Independent! Due to a deterioration in health, Nan went into The Dell and loves it! A little overwhelming to begin with but she soon settled in and The Dell became Home and staff has become family. From management, seniors, carers, domestics, kitchen staff and the activity queen (hopefully you've all got a mention ) each and every one of them goes above and beyond on a daily basis to make Nan and all residents feel supported and cared for. Thank You to all at The Dell from the family - you've certainly taken a lot of worry and stress away from us knowing that Nan is cared for and has support and assistance 24 hours a day - we've certainly slept better since Nan joined The Dell Family!
After fracturing her hip, my 97-year-old mother, who also has Alzheimer’s, was taken to The Dell care home. She is very frail and confused. I cried leaving her on the first day and staff at The Dell kept reassuring me that my mum was safe and would be looked after. A couple of days later, they had transformed her into a happy, laughing lady! She was walking alone, with a zimmer frame, proud to show me her ‘ hotel room’! She loved the music, dancing and other activities. I couldn’t believe it seeing her waving, clapping hands, joining in the banter with staff! I finally feel relaxed going home every day knowing she’s in very safe hands! She loves the attention from staff who treat her as their great granny! I cannot thank all the staff enough for all their hard work, understanding and professionalism in caring for my mum and for embracing me with their kind words. Once again, a huge thank you to all the dedicated stall who care, clean and cook!
My mum has vascular dementia and was struggling at home so needed a care home. Mum and us as a family were made very welcome with a tray of tea on arrival. The staff were extremely caring and empathetic to our initial anxiety and went above and beyond to help us relax. My first impression was that all the residents were all very happy and relaxed. The staff on duty were entertaining them with music and dancing. This put me and my sister at ease leaving her there it was obvious the staff really cared and they were warm and loving towards all. My mum has now been there a month the care she is receiving is faultless. The staff are extremely professional, yet relaxed and very approachable. All the staff from the management to all carers and domestic staff equally are amazing. It feels like one big happy family. They have got my mum's trust and she absolutely loves being there. I am beyond happy with her care. Seeing Mum relaxed and happy is priceless. Home from home excellent care home.
Our auntie has recently been at The Dell for assessment for four weeks, cannot fault the place. She settled quickly, loved the food and was so well looked after by the lovely kind and caring staff. She unfortunately had to move to a permanent care home, just hope she settles as well there. Thank you to all at The Dell.
My family keep in touch with how their nan is doing from my updates but also via the social media page. I don’t use social media but my family shared a comment from the manager who said ‘they have the best residents in the whole wide world’. I would like to say that my mum and her fellow residents have the best staff in the whole wide world. All the staff are the truly most amazing people who always go above and beyond for all their residents. I cannot thank them enough for the care they show for Mum. Thank you.
My auntie was in the home and I'm still visiting, I'm always made welcome. I would recommend The Dell to anyone who was looking for a good care home.
I recommend this home to anyone. They are so loving, caring and family-orientated.
Amazing home, staff are all amazing and have the residents best interest at heart. They always have fun stuff on in the home and I feel like The Dell have extended my nan's life by a million years. It’s one big family. They listen, care and are always available for a chat about my nana's care. Every one of the staff do this job for the love and you can see it. The home is always clean and smells fresh. Keep doing what you’re doing!
The care in The Dell is exceptional. The atmosphere is that of joy. The staff are positive and caring. My sister's care is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Visitors are welcomed at any time. My sister can't speak highly enough of the care she receives.
The staff at The Dell are amazing. They are warm, caring and welcoming taking time with both residents and visitors. They treat people as individuals and adapt to their needs and wants. There are lots of activities and staff recognise that some people need one-to-one support and can adapt activities to individual preferences. The building is not the most modern but it is always clean and the individual rooms are decorated to the residents' taste. My friend was very reluctant to move from her previous home but after a week at The Dell, she asked if she could stay as she felt safe and cared for. She is now much happier and well cared for. The food is good and there is some flexibility with meals.
My sister and I came to visit our auntie today and we were made more than welcome by all the staff at The Dell. They had never met us before but we were so happy with the way they made us feel. Our auntie is so happy in the home, this we can see and she loves it there, always having a joke with the staff. It is like one big happy family at The Dell. I just want to say thank you for looking after our auntie, you've made us so happy.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and dealt with all concerns. Communication with staff is excellent and a realistic update on my sister's condition is always given. Regular and small meals are arranged which is ideal for my sister. She feels safe and listened to, especially in relation to her pain management. I am very satisfied with all aspects of the care given.
A fantastic care home. All the staff are friendly and approachable and really care for all the residents, which is obvious as soon as you walk into the lovely, friendly atmosphere. A lovely place to visit. There’s always something great going on for the residents to enjoy - parties, day trips, and celebrations. It is extremely clean, and they welcome visitors at any time. Nothing is ever too much trouble at The Dell.
My aunt spent the last few years of her life in the care of the staff at The Dell. No family could have asked for more than these wonderful people gave. She loved being with them and they became her extended family. She died peacefully in their tender, loving care and it is difficult to find sufficient words to express our gratitude to them. This is not the most modern of care homes, but this pales into insignificance when you experience the quality of care provided.
My mum has now resided in The Dell for 11-months. The Dell is well managed and has benefited from refurbishment in recent months. The staff are friendly, polite, helpful and reassuring to residents and visitors. The food is good, and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. The laundry operates efficiently, and emergencies are dealt with promptly. Refurbishment of the available outdoor space would benefit residents and staff.
My mum has been at The Dell residential care home for 8-months or so. I’m happy she has settled in well and made new friends. It’s been tough for her at the start and still is at times, but she still keeps smiling, and that’s with the care support help from all the staff throughout this. I can’t thank them enough for what they do. I see the love they give to my mum and to the other residents also, nothing is too much trouble for them. I have great respect for each one of them. I would certainly recommend this care home. I am truly grateful.
