View Full Details of Pemberton FoldMy Mum is very happy and relaxed here, despite her dementia. All the staff know her and make a fuss of her (and me! They all know my name and I get a brew when I visit!) From the reception to the cleaners, the chefs to the caters - all lovely. Like a second family! All of her medical and personal needs are more than met. The staff are all lovely, very respectful and have the patience of saints. The food is good. She had been very poorly in hospital and lost a lot of weight but she soon regained it here. Her room is nice and the whole place is very clean. The lounge area is a nice space where the residents watch TV together. There are regular activities, parties and celebrations with both in-house games and films and outdoor singers and entertainers. A few months ago Mum was in hospital with a chest infection and this time cemented my feelings about Pemberton Fold. Whilst the care was excellent I constantly just wished she was back there, for the TLC they provide.
Needs more staff on each floor.
Lovely staff, great activities, clean and tidy.
I was happy to see staff, residents and families joining in with a quiz - each day they have activities which are clearly displayed in the resident's room. People with dementia need this to stimulate their minds rather than just sitting in a chair doing nothing. The room could do with modernising a little better, TV was not working and wardrobes were damaged, but the room was clean.
My relative is looked after very well. The care teams are very attentive to my relative's needs. We have had some 'teething problems' but the management have tried to solve these and listened to our concerns. The home is very clean.
The staff have been extremely helpful and pleasant with myself and my brother who spent 9 months here. Was always clean & tidy when I visited. Very difficult time as my brother was very poorly towards the end but the staff treated him with dignity he was well looked after. Can't fault it!
Lovely clean premises, home-cooked hearty meals, and lovely caring staff. My mum couldn't be in a better place a real home from home. Residents seem happy and settled and interact well with the staff. Although Mum was not able to participate due to her mobility there were structured and meaningful activities planned daily.
My mother has been in Pemberton Fold since February. She has Lewy Body dementia and can be quite demanding. However, due to the dedicated care that she receives, she is happy and very settled in her lovely room. The home is spotless and always smells fresh and clean. The home provides so much for the residents to do such as coffee mornings, bingo, visiting singers etc. The best way I can describe this care home is that the staff really do care for the residents. They are personable and their communications are very good, always giving up-to-date details or any general information on how my mum is doing day to day. Overall I feel so confident that my mum is in good hands and is receiving the best of care.
Pemberton Fold is literally amazing, my mum spent the last three years of her life there, and was absolutely loved and cherished by the amazing team. The team there are passionate about caring and looking after people. Mum was in Pemberton during covid and how the staff coped through such a trying time was so admirable. Thank you so much, everybody, you'll all get a good seat in Heaven I'm sure of that!
Unfortunately, I didn't have much feedback from my brother-in-law about his stay. I asked him different questions and all he said was "it was alright". But that's the norm for him. I asked about his meals and he couldn't tell me was he had eaten. I felt comfortable leaving him for the first time in 30 years. It was a hard decision. I felt that he was in safe hands with lovely caring staff.
I am very pleased with everything. He is very happy and well looked after, and very pleased with the rest-bite. Thank you.
Mum has been in the home since January. The staff are lovely, she is looked after well, it's safe, clean and mum loves it. Everyone is friendly and all residents are happy, not just mum.
This home is a lovely place. The staff are excellent. My mum is always happy when I see her.
I cannot recommend Pemberton Fold care home enough. My mum became a resident in May 2021 and immediately settled in. The care she has received has been excellent both from the carers and the managerial staff, with the carers often going over and above their normal duties to ensure my mum is happy and safe. At the same time, the staff are fully aware of relatives’ feelings and concerns and I am always kept informed of my mum’s health and well-being. The care home is clean and hygienic and the residents have regular activities to stimulate, entertain and to encourage mobility. The warmth and caring nature of this home is evident as soon as you walk in. Everyone working in the home, across all levels of staff, is caring, friendly and approachable and it is evident that providing a safe and happy 'home from home' for their residents is their main priority.
Mum has been here for two weeks on respite. Up to now the staff I have dealt with have been understanding. Because of covid restrictions, I have only dealt with a few including the manager. they have both been understanding, informative, supportive and helpful. Mam says they are all brilliant and look after her well. We are all very pleased.
Mum always happy and in good spirit.
Only saw the reception area to meet my brother, but the area was clean and presentable.
Overall Pemberton Fold is the best care home in this area and in the surrounding areas. I am totally satisfied with the service my mum and family receive. The only drawback is the telephone system which needs updating and possibly employing more staff for the workload.
The staff are very caring and supportive. We are happy with her care. We have found the circumstances very difficult but reassured by her excellent care.
Mum had a couple of stays for respite but is now a permanent resident. Pemberton is a very clean and tidy home. The staff have a very caring attitude towards mum and cannot do enough for her. I have no issues with the care mum receives. I know she is safe and well looked after at all times by the fantastic staff.
