View Full Details of Wellington LodgeVery pleasant staff. Easy to communicate with. I'm pleased with the way they treat my mam.
My stay at Wellington Lodge was excellent. Brilliant staff, fantastic food. I enjoyed my stay very much.
Following an accident at home and a brief spell in hospital, my mum spent a week in the care home. The staff were really welcoming, professional and looked after my mum's needs during her time there. My mum's recovery was speedy and I put this in part with the way she was looked after by all staff. If I have any comments to make the care home is slightly dated and could benefit from a redecoration/refresh.
My aunt has always been happy living at Wellington Lodge. She loves all the care staff, who treat her with love and respect. She enjoys the food and drinks, all the common areas are clean and tidy. Unfortunately there are times when the bed and bathroom could do with a good clean.
My auntie is well cared for in Wellington Lodge. They know her likes and dislikes and go the extra mile to please her. She used to love all the activities when she was more active but unfortunately isn't able to take part as much now but the carers do all they can to include her and keep her engaged and happy. Thank you to them all.
I have been visiting an old friend for the past two years. I have found the care staff very helpful and efficient. The food looks good and selective.
We were reluctant for Mum to go here as it is far from home but Mum is really well looked after at Wellington Lodge. The staff are caring, compassionate and understanding especially when she gets upset or forgetful. She is always well dressed too. Mum has really enjoyed the musical activities, singing on the Karaoke, music quiz and playing instruments.
All good.
Wellington Lodge supported my mother-in-law to transfer from another location back in early May 2024. From the point of assessment and transfer to Manchester, the support and intervention that has followed the staff team have been exceptional. As family members, we have been made to feel welcome, always greeted with a smile and provided with updates when needed. My mother-in-law's transfer hasn't been without challenges but the staff team are open to working creatively and proactively to ensure assessment is prioritised and that interventions that follow meet individual support needs. On each visit, my mother-in-law's personal care needs have been met and staff share their conversations evidencing time spent getting to know her. The home is clean and tidy, other residents look happy and there are always staff in communal areas engaging with residents. I would highly recommend Wellington Lodge.
My nana has been at the home for quite a few months now and every single time I go in she looks so well, her hair is always washed and she is always happy, the staff are all so caring towards her. It’s so nice to see her looking her best all the time as the other home she was at her hair was always greasy and she was wheel-chaired around and always asked to go home, but now she is walking around and sees this as her home now, she has made such a U-turn. Her room is lovely and always clean and her clothes are always put back nicely, it’s so nice to see how well she is being looked after.
Staff is always friendly and welcoming when visiting and happy to answer questions on residents' care and health when asked. If any assistance is required with the resident, willing to assist if/as required. Resident indicates they feel well looked after.
Always pleased with the care my mother receives. She is clean, happy and contented and always says, when I visit, that the staff are always kind, patient and look after her well. The staff continually encourage her to eat and drink. Her health is significantly better than before she became a resident.
We are extremely happy with all the staff and we found them very helpful. If I had any problems I could ask anyone and they have me advice that I needed.
After a transfer from the previous care home, it was like walking into a luxury hotel. The staff, from management to catering staff, were excellent in providing a safe and friendly environment. At all times the resident was treated brilliantly and in an emergency responded in very quick order. Senior staff were very helpful with future information.
I am very happy with the care my mum gets at Wellington Lodge. She has dementia and the staff are amazing with her, they are very caring, friendly, trusting and understanding. The home is very clean and very well organised and the staff have lots of time for the residents. It is outstanding.
My Uncle has been in Wellington Lodge for just over a year now. He seems to have settled in really well, the staff are really good with all the residents as I've seen. The Manager is always there to listen and to help, communication is very good also, emails to let you know what is going on within the care home and my Uncle personally, would recommend this care home greatly. My Uncle has brain damage from a car accident 50 years ago and now has dementia too, but we as a family are happy with the care our brother and Uncle receives, thank you to all the staff and the Manager.
I, as the wife of a resident who is suffering with dementia, am very pleased with my husband's care and the understanding and friendliness of the staff. Also pleased with the cleanliness of the home and the layout. Staff are always happy to help namely some staff members, to name just a few as I can't remember all the names and I do apologise for that. Thank you Wellington Lodge.
Mums well looked after, staff are excellent.
Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. My auntie is well looked after and I feel safe knowing she is cared for at Wellington Lodge. Thank you for looking after her. Thank you.
My mum has been a resident at Wellington Lodge for seven years. In all those years, she has been very happy living there. We, as a family, have been very happy with the support and service she gets. The staff are very helpful and always have a smile on their faces. They treat her with dignity and respect, which is very important to her. In this last year with Covid, they have done what they can to enable us to speak to our mum. They have kept us up-to-date with Government policies. We feel we are very lucky to have found a good Care Home for our mum to be able to live in. She enjoys the varied and tasty food they serve each day.
