All good, Mum safe and well looked after!
My mum has only been in for a few months. The room is great and the staff are fantastic, they have made us all welcome and my mum has settled well. There is always something going on. This has been a difficult time and has been made easier with the help of the staff and management.
My mum has been in this care home for nearly 18 months now. It is an excellent home and I can recommend it 100%. All the management and carers are fabulous. Always happy and friendly. They all treat Mum with care and dignity. They always make time for her even though they are busy. It is always clean and welcoming. Mum is always smiling and laughing with her friends she has made. This all makes me feel happy with no worries at all.
This is for anyone who is in the process of finding a care home for a relative, It would be difficult to find anywhere that will compare with Ashgrove House. The standard of compassion, care and love the carers give their residents, Is outstanding. My mother was a resident here for nine years before she recently passed away at age 102. This is a testament to how well she was cared for. During her stay, she always felt valued and was treated with affection and respect every day. I personally considered the staff to be friends, who carried out their duties with confidence and patience. I am so glad that I found Ashgrove House for my mum, I couldn't have wished for anywhere better.
The care team are friendly and kind to all the residents and brings patience, good humour and banter to everyday life. My mother has been in the home for 2 years and regards the carers as her friends, describing them as "wonderful".
My uncle has been at the care home now for a few months and the care he has and is still receiving is fantastic all the staff I have spoken to have been friendly and helpful. If I have a question or a concern they are always happy to help and make sure that my uncle gets everything he needs. Also, the care home is a friendly and inviting environment.
I have found Ashgrove House a lovely care home for my Mum to stay at, all the residents are well cared for and looked after by all the staff. I also find the management very good.
Myself and my brother visit our auntie every week, we are made to feel welcome on every visit. The staff are attentive to both residents and visitors. The staff take patients' safety very seriously, and I feel assured that my auntie is always well cared for and treated with dignity. The rooms are pleasant and spotlessly clean. We couldn't recommend Ashgrove House highly enough.
This is an amazing care home. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. During the recent Euro football, they have even made a separate lounge area to watch the matches so those that do not like football have a choice. They have provided snacks, along with shandy and made it feel like the residents have gone out to watch the football. I can sleep well knowing that my dad is well looked after and cared for.
Very happy with the care facility, amazing, friendly staff who are always happy to have a conversation and are very supportive. Mum is always clean, well dressed and is happy. I haven't commented on the activities because unfortunately they have been between staff, recently a new activity coordinator has started.
My mum has been at Ashgrove for just over 1 year now and I cannot fault the home at all. The care and support that my mum has received has been second to none and all the staff are kind, caring and compassionate in everything they do. Not only do the staff care for my mum but also make us a family feel like it is home from home, when visiting the staff always have a smile on their faces and you can hear laughter throughout the home. The home is always clean and tidy and has no odours. My mum is always treated with dignity and care even though my mum can be quite challenging at times. The meals are all homemade and traditional which is what my mum has always liked. If for any reason my mum doesn't like what is on the menu the kitchen staff are more than happy to make an alternate choice for her. The management team are very approachable and are always very welcoming. I have definitely made the best choice of care home for my mum at Ashgrove House.
Very pleased with the care my mum is receiving on a daily basis. All the staff have been fantastic with her from day one. She has settled in so well. This has meant complete peace of mind for our family as we know Mum is happy, safe and cared for. Thanks to everyone at the home.
The facilities in the home are high quality and bedrooms are very comfortable but it's the staff and management which really make this home. They put on lots of events in the home and everyone is made to feel very welcome. The staff treat all individual needs and really care for each resident. We looked at a few homes before we chose this one and it's worth waiting for if you can't get in immediately. You won't find a more caring and fun group of staff to take care of your loved ones.
Ashgrove House Care Ltd is a lovely, clean, friendly home, and my father has settled very well. He enjoys the interactions with the carers and the activities they do with him, e.g. painting, and he loves the children visiting the home from the local school. His room is very spacious, and his level of care is second to none - excellent. I would definitely recommend this care provider.
Our mother has been in Ashgrove since July 2020. When our mother went into the home she was very unwell, thankfully we have seen her come on leaps and bounds due to the wonderful nursing care she receives from all of the staff. the home is bright, clean and it's a pleasure to visit, our mother seems to be well entertained with all the activities they provide. We are so glad we chose Ashgrove.
All our family are very happy with my mum's care at Ashgrove. They are very supportive and attentive towards her needs. They keep the family up to date with any issues. Ashgrove is clean and tidy and the staff are amazing and welcoming. Volunteers would help with extra activity support which we feel would make Ashgrove outstanding.
My Mother entered Ashgrove initially as a respite patient after leaving Hospital. However, due to the excellent care and attention that she received during her stay, we made enquiries about her becoming a full-time resident, and Ashgrove were able to accommodate with her ongoing long-term care and needs. Since arriving at Ashgrove we have seen my Mother flourish in her health, well-being and overall general mood. Myself and my family can’t praise Ashgrove enough for the way that the home not only presents itself but the care and attention that we have observed not only for my mother but the consideration that it affords to anyone visiting or residing within this home.
As a family, we had to make the incredibly difficult decision for my Dad to go into a home due to him having dementia. From the moment he moved into Ashgrove he was extremely well looked after during the 2 years he was there. The management and all the staff were kind, supportive, and professional at all times with the family and with Dad. The staff take the time to know their residents and the facilities are good with nice rooms. It was my parents' Golden Wedding anniversary while he was in there and they accommodated us to have a little party for them within the home which meant a lot to us. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Ashgrove to anyone who finds themselves in the same position as we were. Dad passed away whilst he was in Ashgrove and the staff were so empathetic towards us and it was perfectly clear that they truly care for the residents.
My mum has been a resident at Ashgrove House for over three years and during that time Mum has been extremely well looked after by all the staff at Ashgrove who are so very caring, warm, and friendly. When my mum has been unwell the staff have let me know straight away and keep me informed of her welfare. The staff go the extra mile and I feel they look after the resident's family as well when they have concerns. I am old enough to be a resident myself and I would not hesitate to be looked after by all the staff at Ashgrove. I know I would be very happy there.
