View Full Details of Hadfield HouseLovely staff put the person first. Mum was poorly after leaving hospital. Lost weight and wasn't walking. She loves the food and staff, plus they got her walking again. The only issue is no shower room but this is being installed so overall very good. Thank you, Hadfield staff.
My dad spent five weeks in another Oldham care home before moving into Hadfield House just over two weeks ago. The other care home rang and asked us to collect Dad because they couldn't care for him. The manager and her team at Hadfield House, knowing the behaviours my dad was displaying (he is ten years into having dementia), agreed to take Dad in. What a difference two weeks makes. He has regained his sparkle and was actually laughing when we visited today. I cannot thank the manager and the team enough for the amazing care they are giving Dad - it was lovely to see my mum properly smile today for the first time in months.
In the years my mother has been a resident at Hadfield House she has been treated with care, concern and, above all, dignity. Today she passed away, aged 93, in the room that she had come to call home and with the kindness and consideration of everyone around her. The manager and staff are, in the eyes of our family, the real 'unsung heroes.'
My sister resides at Hadfield House and I'm a regular visitor. I know she is in the right place for her condition as the staff seem well trained and are extremely kind and understanding to residents who I imagine can be extremely difficult. It's vital for me to know my sister is safe and I feel that's the case at Hadfield House. Care plans are available to view on request and are current and up to date, management are approachable if any concerns arise as are staff. The house is clean and tidy. The grounds are well maintained presenting overall a good picture of tranquillity including an outdoor area which is pleasant in nice weather. Entertainment is frequent and all the residents enjoy themselves in their own ways. I have read the official report on Hadfield House and although the conclusion was that `improvement is required` the matters raised at the time of the report are not evident now in my opinion. To conclude, I'm happy that my sis resides here and gives me no reason to worry at all.
