View Full Details of Royley House Care HomeVery pleased with the care of my mother when she was recently unwell. Cannot thank all staff enough.
My father has been in since September 2024, he made my day when he told me he was happy and comfortable this is down to all the staff. They keep me informed of any changes, hospital appointments and doctors appointments. He loves the home cooked fresh food. He loves to sing and the staff encourage him plenty, I have found no matter who I speak to staff wise they are always happy to help, whether it be dad or me.
My Mum has been a resident at Royley House for only a short time but already she refers to it as her 'home' which is lovely to hear. Mum was very delusional and depressed when she moved in and as a family we were at crisis point. RH provide a loving and stimulating environment with lots of activities both in the home and outside on outings. The staff are all absolutely lovely and we couldn't have chosen a better place for Mum to be. I now have some of my Mum back and know that she is safe and secure in a lovely environment.
My dad has been a resident at Royley House since November 2022. Since then the home has improved significantly, especially since the new manager took over. The new manager ensures that the residents get the absolute best care possible. She listens and responds to feedback and acts quickly to improve things when required. In my experience, the staff have always been friendly, approachable, and welcoming. Their interactions with the residents have always been exceptional, even when the residents, like my dad, can be difficult at times to manage. Thank you to all the staff for the care, patience, and kindness that you show to my dad!
I want to thank the manager and her staff for all they do for my father-in-law. They're always friendly and have a smile for everyone. I receive phone calls with updates and any appointments that come through. The home is bright, modern, and clean. My father-in-law enjoys the freshly cooked food. I especially love to see photos of my father-in-law partaking in activities at the home or having time out - to the local pub or off out on a day trip. Thank you for all you do.
Mum has been a resident at Royley House since December 24. As a family, we are very appreciative of the care and attention Mum has received since being there. The staff genuinely care and are more than willing to go the extra mile. The management are always ready to listen and help not only the resident but the family too. It is always a difficult decision to make when you realise help is needed. Royley House made the transition as easy as possible, supporting us all as much as possible. Thank you, everyone working there, your care is very much appreciated!
My dad stayed with you. He received excellent treatment from the minute he went through the doors. You went above and beyond to make his stay with you a happy one. The care he was given was second to none. Everyone went that extra mile for him making him as comfortable as possible and making him feel safe. The accommodation is very nice and you can make it your own. The staff have lots of activities which you can join in if you choose. He was well cared for and happy. They looked after him and the rest of the family when he passed away I can't thank them enough.
My brother moved into Royley House in June 2024, he has vascular dementia and Alzheimer's, he wanted to move into a care home and we found Royley House. He is so very happy there, he is cared for very well and he is well-fed, we are very happy with the service we receive.
My Mum has dementia and has been a resident at Royley House for approximately 2 years. We could not wish for a better place for Mum. Mum is a sociable person & enjoys company, RH provides stimulation through various activities and social occasions. The staff are friendly, very attentive, and genuinely care for residents. They take care of Mum's everyday needs and personal care as well as keeping her entertained with activities, dancing or just chatting to her - she loves them. The place is kept clean and does not have that 'Care Home' smell that some others do. The food is all cooked on-site and is of an exceptional standard with plenty of variety - the daily menus are displayed. Overall I would not hesitate in recommending this facility for a loved one.
Royley House has looked after my dad for the last 18 months. The staff have so much time for my dad who is looked after with love & care. The home puts on activities which Dad sometimes joins in especially if it involves dancing. I am kept up to date with Dad's hospital appointments & the results. Nothing but praise for the staff & how the home is run.
Mum is happy there, the staff are kind, caring, and professional. All her needs are met. Her health and well-being are a priority for the staff. The staff are very accommodating when mums go out for the day and arrange to give breakfast and meds early and have her ready to be collected. Overall we are very happy with mums care.
All the staff are approachable and caring, they seem genuinely interested in the residents. I can tell Mum feels safe and enjoys the interaction with the staff. So nice to see the residents occupied with activities and not stuck in front of a television. The cleanliness, laundry, and catering are also to an excellent standard, Mum loves the food and it always looks delicious. Her room always looks clean and tidy and her clothes and bedding are fresh and put away. Any issues or queries that I've had have always been resolved quickly. The conservatory has been a great addition and it's lovely to see the activities posted on the social media page.
My dad is always well looked after by the carers and I don't have to worry about him as I know he is in good hands with all the staff at Royley House. He always enjoys the food that is served to him.
The staff at Royley House are very welcoming and caring. Excellent activities for the residents. Bedrooms are clean warm and cosy and the lounges are bright and spacious. The cleanliness of the home is excellent. We are really pleased with the care our mother is receiving and know she is safe and well looked after.
Royley House has cared for my father with love, dignity, and grace. They have gone above and beyond in their care for my father and I will be forever grateful to each member of staff there. The rooms are lovely, the food is excellent, and the laundry service is really good. Lots of very interesting activities and outings. I have nothing but good to say about Royley House.
My mother enjoyed her stay at Royley House, she stated she was looked after by all the staff extremely well. Her room was very clean and comfortable. As my mother is blind, the staff helped her constantly with her personal care.
My mother moved into Royley House at the beginning of July 2024 with a huge amount of fear and trepidation as she grew up in a children's home due to the war. Her experience there meant that all her life she had feared growing old and needing to move into a care home. However, she visited Royley House and was greatly impressed by the facilities and the lovely welcome from staff that she received. We, as a family, were very nervous as to how she would settle or if she would settle at all. Well, our fears were unfounded as my mum made friends very quickly and was greatly impressed by the calm gentle and caring approach of the staff. She loves all her meals and loves her very smart room with a gorgeous bathroom. She has thrived since arriving and enjoys the activities that the home provides for her. After living alone for five years, she has enjoyed having the company of other residents but knows if she wants peace and quiet, she can go to her room anytime. The staff are excellent and approachable.
Mum went for 3 weeks respite and everybody was very supportive especially the manager when mum was refusing to go in. After a few days, Mum said she was very comfortable and seemed to join in with the many activities. Mum's room was really nice and everywhere was kept very clean. Thank you to everyone at Royley House for making Mum's stay as comfortable and safe as possible.
The manager and her team continue to provide first-class service to my mum which hasn’t always been easy with Mum's complications, working together with myself and the family, we continue to try to find solutions to help Mum. A complicated person at a tough time of life, Mum is hard to please but the team continue to try their very best for her. Thank you to everyone at Royley House for the help this year and to what is to come.
Mum has been a resident since July. Staff are friendly, chatty and always have a smile on their faces. Mum does not have the Health POA and therefore we have no access to the care system/family app, but no matter how frequently we ask about how Mum is doing in certain areas, we are never made to feel we are a nuisance. The standard of cleanliness is very high and the food always looks and smells delicious. It's great that there is now an activities lady who is superb, and staff also seem to get involved and encourage all residents to take part. It has made such a big difference to everyone. Whilst Mum doesn't always join in, we are so pleased there is someone in place now. Relatives meetings are held from time to time and are a great opportunity to hear from the management team and other relatives. Emphasis at the meetings from management is for feedback to be given - good or bad.
