View Full Details of Archmoor Care HomeWe couldn't have asked for a better care home for my mother in law. The staff have all treated her with respect care and a lot of patience. Having vascular dementia it became extremely hard to look after her and keep her safe, all of which the team at Archmoor have achieved. She is always happy when we visit, with obvious signs of being relaxed, clean, and having a good relationship with the staff and other residents. The team at Archmoor were also fantastic at putting us at peace at a time that was so stressful having to leave her with strangers. Them strangers are now part of the family and we could never thank them enough.
My grandma is currently a resident in this care home, and I can not praise the home or the staff enough for the care that my grandma is receiving. Staff are all fully trained and treat my grandma with patience, dignity and respect. There were times when I wondered how much patience they could have as my grandma was very challenging on her initial admission. The manager is a very caring individual and strives to put the needs of the residents at the forefront, and welcomes any feedback from families. She is very hands-on and we don't struggle to have contact with her if we need to. The home is decorated lovely with lots of displays and activities on the walls. It's a very warming place to visit and always smells lovely. I feel that I can live my life knowing that my grandma is well cared for. Any visitor is treated as part of the family. I would recommend this care home to anyone who is struggling to make the decision.
My great Aunt is so happy here and is very well cared for. Watching her interactions with the staff it was very obvious just how much they cared for my Aunt, and just how much she thought of them. The home is clean and tidy and it’s a lovely happy environment for residents and staff. I have always found the staff to be warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. To have peace of mind that your relative is being looked after and is happy is priceless. To see her smiling and happy is everything! Thank you to all the hardworking staff at Archmoor, you are doing an incredible job.
Mum is well cared for, all her needs are met. She is happy and has a great relationship with the staff. It's great that we can now have contact visits. The last 12-18 months have been managed extremely well by all.
My dad has been a resident for the last 7 weeks and has been made to feel very welcome. He has dementia and his mobility has suffered as a result of a 5-week hospital stay due to a form of septicemia. The staff are always friendly and go about their duties in an efficient and effective manner and with a smile on their faces. I am kept up to date with his progress whenever appropriate. Considering my dad always said he would never go into a care home we are thinking about him staying there. In his own words, he tells me he is 'content'. I wouldn't hesitate to fulfil his wishes as I feel we have fallen lucky in finding such a lovely caring home with staff that make a difference.
Small, friendly, welcoming and very clean care home. Residents always look happy, clean and cared for very well. The staff are available and ready to listen attentively to a resident or a visitor and help in which way they can. There is a good varied range of meals provided, home-cooked and the residents choose their preferred choice. If a heavy meal is not desired, the cook will do a lighter alternative. Staff are friendly and approachable, and the manager is always around to have a chat with or listen to any concerns that may arise. She also interacts well with the residents, which I have not witnessed in other care homes. It’s clear to see there is a good rapport at Archmoor Care Home and an excellent work ethic amongst all staff. I would highly recommend this home to anyone considering.
My involvement with Archmoor residents and staff is one hundred percent of comforting, supporting, and stimulating with the involvement of a Pets as Therapy dog. It is a joy to visit the Care Home where staff are welcoming and hard-working. I never see the staff without a smile. During my visit with my dog Lottie, the residents love to talk about family, friends, and their beloved but long-gone pets. The residents are well cared for and quite clearly settled into a regular routine. The vulnerable residents are handled safely and lovingly by the staff with appropriate stimulation according to their individual needs and requirements. Staff make a tremendous effort to encourage the residents with stimulating activities, seasonal parties, and visual prompts which creates an environment of friendships and daily awareness. The Garden is kept neat and tidy with opportunities for sitting in the sunshine and to get some fresh air. This Care Home is an A score for me.
Archmoor are taking great care of my Mum, even throughout these difficult times, I know the standard of care would not have fallen, in any way. Although I have not been able to visit (my own personal reasons nothing to do with the home) I know full well she is being well cared for. And they are only on the other end of a phone if I need to speak to anyone and they have kept me informed regarding her health and well-being. A wonderful caring home with equally wonderful caring staff. I cannot thank them enough.
My husband's Aunty was cared for at Archmoor for 18 months until she died. The care she received was second to none, nothing was any trouble. She enjoyed her time there and was treated with dignity and respect. She had her own room upstairs which was bright and nicely decorated - it was also kept immaculately clean. The manager and her staff are all wonderful. May I also add the food is lovely, all home-cooked, tasty, and fresh. They have a daily programme of activities that keep residents stimulated and happy. I would not hesitate to recommend Archmoor to anybody.
