View Full Details of Littleborough Home for the ElderlyIn her short time at Littleborough Home for the Elderly, the care our mum received was outstanding from every member of staff. Our family will be forever grateful for the kindness, empathy and compassion shown towards us and our mum during her end-of-life care. An excellent care home, with wonderful staff.
I cannot express how much I am grateful to the team at Littleborough Care Home. They supported me through moving my grandmother from another home. They provided advice and support above and beyond what I would have expected. Upon arrival, the staff were just fantastic, they welcomed my grandmother into their family. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away after just four months, but in the time she was at the home she thrived. The love, care, attention, dignity and respect shown to her just went to show I had made the right decision to move her there. The staff are amazing and each room is lovely and kept to a high standard. The communal areas are open and welcoming and there is a buzz about the place. When it came to end-of-life, they were respectful, and supportive, and showed real compassion and support at what was a very difficult time. To the very end and beyond, my grandmother and myself were treated with dignity, love and respect. I would recommend the home to anyone.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food. Nothing too much trouble for all staff.
The Management team are extremely helpful and does their utmost in these difficult times. Our friends are very happy and love being involved in the upgrade of their home ie decoration and being given a choice. Also, go to great lengths in protecting the client's safety and do explain any changes to their families and friends it's lovely how we are greeted on our visits just like we are all family.
This is a great home as staff really care about the resident's health and well-being. My dad spent the last two years of his life here (he sadly passed two weeks ago) and it was so reassuring to know that the staff loved and cared for him and kept him safe and happy. Staff took the time to get to know him, and were very patient, so they were able to keep him calm and happy regardless of his wandering, loss of ability to communicate meaningfully, and other issues. His health was closely monitored, and conditions very well managed, and I could relax knowing that if anything was wrong I would get a call immediately. The home is clean and safe for those who like to wander and have dementia or similar conditions.
Very happy with the service these fabulous carers provide. Being a small care home means that the staff and residents get to know each other well which is a positive help. Particularly with the dementia residents.
Laundry not very good, clothes ruined and clothes lost. Residents wearing the wrong clothes.
Clean and pleasant dining room and sitting room. Mum's own room is of pleasing dimensions. All of the staff are pleasant and helpful. We are very pleased to have found Littleborough for Mum and believe, that as a result, she is living a longer life.
I can't praise the staff enough for their kindness, care and support to both my Grandma and the family. Following a fall and serious illness, she was sadly sent home for palliative care, but they have continued with dignity and utmost respect.
My mother-in-law came to this care home following a fall and illness. I cannot fault the care and attention she has received from all staff members. I am always kept up to date on her wellbeing by the management team. The care she receives is to the highest standards and gives her the dignity she deserves.
Nothing was too much for the staff, lovely, friendly people. Only had to move Dad because he needed EMI.
My mum came to the home very suddenly after an accident at her sheltered housing, for her own safety. Since she arrived she has gone from strength to strength. She is eating well and put weight on, is so much happier, socialising and getting involved in activities. The staff have been amazing, caring for her and catering to all her needs. They are kind and caring, and have really go to know my mum as an individual, not just as a resident. Overall, really, really happy.
The staff are pleasant and competent. Very amiable with residents.
My mum has been at this home for almost 4 years and it's the best move she made. The staff treat her with such dignity and with Alzheimer's know how to treat her and get the best out of her. I am so pleased she is in this home, the staff are fabulous and the activities they provide are excellent. Thank you so much.
Good management and staff. All have treated my dad with respect and dignity, food and cleanliness all seem good.
My husband has only been there for 3 months, but during that time I am quite happy with the care he is receiving.
My Grandma has had very good care in Littleborough Home for the Elderly. Staff are very good. Very pleased with all my grandma's care. Very pleased.
My mum was in hospital and could no longer cope at home and needed specialist care. The hospital social services found the home and my mum came in just before Christmas. I must say that during her time here I cannot find anything wrong with the home. My mum is getting the care she needs and that is a great relief to me knowing she is being cared for. I would have no problem in recommending the home to anyone that needs a family member looking after.
The staff are warm, friendly and treat mum kindly and with humour. Mum's health is well monitored and appropriate medical staff are always contacted if there's any doubt. Mum had c-diff in the past and had to be in her room for 6-8 weeks and she never got a bedsore and the staff treated her with dignity and empathy throughout. Mum enjoys the staff contact, the food and the view from her room.
The facility is clean and well run, medicines are kept secure and dispensed appropriately. The staff are attentive and supportive. Care has been taken to ensure that there are no trip hazards. The bathrooms are well equipped. The rooms are warm and comfortable, and appetising meals are served.
