View Full Details of EcclesholmeMy dad has been in this home for 15 months, and although things are not always right he is safe and well cared for. The staff work hard to provide a safe caring environment and the Registered Manager works tirelessly to ensure that things are as they should be. The home is in need of some inward investment, but that's not the fault of the staff who have to deliver activities and a reception service. This sometimes detracts from their core function, but all in all a positive experience.
My dad was in another home, we had nothing but problems and Dad was very unhappy. We looked at other care homes before finding Ecclesholme, we just knew straight away it was the right home, my dad absolutely loves it there and is so happy he thinks he is in a hotel. The staff are great and make such a fuss over Dad that it makes it easier when we leave him after our visit.
My dad is very happy and settled. He really likes the staff, whom I have found to be very helpful, both to Dad and his family. Dad enjoys the company of other residents, and it is great to see that he is no longer isolated. What I really like is that Dad is getting the care he deserves, his medication is on time, and because he no longer forgets to take them, he is getting stronger. He has regular meals, a lovely room and carers who do care. Thank you to all the staff; you are fantastic.
My mother was at Ecclesholme for a number of years, I am sad to say Mum passed away this February 2022. I and my family can not and I repeat not thank all the management staff, cleaning operatives, cooks, everyone there for how proud they should be. All through the pandemic, they did their best which could have not been greater. My mum was so happy there and I could sleep at night knowing she was being cared for. I am actually crying because of how they cared for our mum. Mum had a peaceful death listening to her Doris Day and actually, I will miss some of the staff a great deal but I know they will be our friends forever. Thank you Ecclesholme. God bless and keep you all.
My husband received excellent care while he was in respite - very clean, staff very pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble when you asked them.
Husband went into the care home for six weeks respite, but was assessed again five weeks and is now permanent. He has settled in very nicely with the great help from everyone at the care home. Extremely hard to come to terms for myself (wife) and my family, but we are all getting there with help from everyone.
When my mother was admitted to Ecclesholme, she had been through a very traumatic period of her life, and we were very concerned for her well being. The pandemic, resulting lockdown, her numerous falls and her lack of appetite leading to drastic weight loss was affecting her terribly. Since she has been here, the transformation has been nothing less than miraculous. As a family, we cannot thank the management and staff for the first-class care and attention that she selflessly receives from them, and we could like to thank each and every one of them from the bottom of our hearts for putting the smile back on our faces, and Mams. Thank you all, and God Bless.
My mam has been in Ecclesholme since just after the first lockdown 2020. I have to say, we as a family, were very apprehensive about my mam going into care at such a crucial time. I can honestly say my dad, myself and the family could not have asked for better care and regular updates on my mam. She has thrived under your care. Thank you to all management and staff.
Mum went into Ecclesholme from hospital at the beginning of lockdown last March. She had broken her hip 6 weeks earlier. We looked at a number of homes but Mum is very picky and can be a bit awkward at times. Ecclesholme is perfect. We used to have great difficulty regarding her personal hygiene but every time we FaceTime, she is squeaky, shiny clean - but, above all, happy. A carer even comes in on her day off to cut residents' hair during the pandemic and Mum looks better now than she has done in years. We can’t wait for this awful pandemic to end so we can see her face to face again but we are 100% delighted and confident in the care and compassion Mum gets from all the staff at Ecclesholme. We, as a family, can’t thank or praise them enough.
In February 2020, my mum fell, broke her hip and was admitted to Salford Royal. Mum had late-onset Alzheimers and my Dad was struggling to cope with her at home. My sister and I had already started to look for suitable care homes and were rather disappointed at the choice. My sister then came across Ecclesholme, which was local to us and ticked every box. When the Prime Minister announced a lockdown on 23rd March, the hospital needed her bed and she was transferred to Ecclesholme. Sadly since then, we have been unable to visit her due to the restrictions. (Visiting has been allowed with suitable PPE but Mum wouldn't understand and it would upset her). We couldn't be more delighted with the care that Mum has received. We speak to her on Facetime, she looks so well. The carers help with the calls and are a delight. One of the carers is an ex hairdresser and comes in on her day off to do the residents hair. It's a great place and they have done an excellent job in very difficult circumstances.
Both of my parents are in full-time residency at Ecclesholme. The love and care that they receive every day is outstanding and nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. This is especially welcomed at this time, as we are unable to visit them due to local lockdown. The staff have a tremendous responsibility to provide 24-hour care - which they do with much patience and constant smiles. I don't know how, as a family, we would have managed to keep them safe had they still been in their own home. Thank you, Ecclesholme, for all that you do.
My family and I have found Ecclesholme to be everything we could have wished for. The staff have been extremely kind and helpful towards my husband who seems to have settled in very well. Different members of staff have arranged to FaceTime on their phones so during lockdown we have been able to have a family chat. I am so pleased to have found Ecclesholme and would be only too pleased to recommend the home and staff to anyone requiring their services.
The home is very well maintained, clean and beautifully decorated. I find the staff competent, very friendly and my wife is happy and content.
I needed a safe and caring environment for support following major surgery. Ecclesholme provided exactly what I needed, and has set me on my way for a successful recovery. I couldn't have had better.
Staff go over and above. Always professional, caring and cheery. Treat my Dad with dignity, respect and compassion. Christmas party for residents and family was well organised, welcoming and a great way to build happy memories with my Dad.
Great caring staff.
Very impressed from the start. All problems (if any) solved immediately. Seem very caring to patients, and all very willing.
I am happy with the staff at Ecclesholme.
Most of the staff are excellent but I was upset recently as one of the reception staff was insensitive at a difficult time, particularly as this was unwarranted and no justification for her unpleasant manner. No idea what her problem was. This spoiled my view and family's view of this otherwise excellent home. However, good facilities, large well kept gardens and an excellent restaurant serving a high standard of meals. Could do with more activities for the residents though.
The care home is very good. I am extremely pleased with the service. The staff are caring and look after my Mum very well. Always keeping me up to date on everything concerning Mum's state of health.
