View Full Details of Marple LodgeI cannot thank the wonderful team and the manager enough for the care given to Mum and Dad now they are residents of Marple Lodge Care Home. Moving into Marple Lodge in February 2024 after Dad had been in hospital for a broken hip, the decision, although still very hard, was made a lot easier after visiting and meeting the manager and her team. Each one of them is so kind and caring towards Mum and Dad, taking time with them and providing great care. They are also so kind to me and our family when visiting. If you are looking for a warm, caring place for your loved ones, this is the place.
This care home is excellent. My nephew is very well cared for. The staff are very kind and welcoming to relatives. He is very happy despite his condition. I can't speak too highly of Marple Lodge.
As a volunteer with therapy dogs nationwide, I have set up a regular visit to the home with my registered therapy dog Maggie, a Golden Retriever. We were warmly received by both staff and residents on our first visit in January and hope to continue regular visits in the future.
My lovely Dad had a stroke 6 months ago and made the very difficult decision to go into care. It was an extremely worrying time as we have never had any involvement with 24-hour care. He has recently moved into Marple Lodge care home, and I can honestly say it was probably the best decision my Dad made. He has settled in so well, but this is down to the staff in the home. They are all so lovely and kind, they included him as soon as he got there. He was allowed to take his own recliner chair which is in a lovely, light room. The social activities run in here too so there is plenty of activity to keep Dad occupied. They ensure he goes into the dining room at meal times, and although he doesn’t walk anymore or have any use of his left arm, this is never too much trouble and they ensure he is never left out. The manager has been so helpful, from the minute she assessed Dad, she has gone above and beyond to make us all feel so reassured and at home. This move for Dad was meant to be.
Mum spent 18 months at Marple Lodge following a stroke at home until she passed away in January 2024. In all that time, she was cared for in an exemplary way with kindness, dignity and professionalism. Every member of staff showed a true caring nature from the cleaners to the catering staff as well as the caring staff. The manager leads from the front and shows true empathy with all residents which is passed down throughout the whole team. Nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is very clean, the meals are tailor-made if required. Visiting is available at any time. Not only was my mum very well cared for but l was also always made to feel welcome. There are regular family meetings to keep everyone in the loop and to air any suggestions. An activities coordinator keeps things fresh and interesting and outside visits are enjoyed. This is a care home in the true sense of the word and l wholeheartedly recommend it.
I can not recommend this care home enough, my grandma’s needs were recognised and met instantly. The staff actually care and the managers fully involved. The staff, residents and any family member I’ve encountered are all so so happy with the care our loved one is receiving.
