View Full Details of Daisy Nook HouseDaisy Nook Care Home is an extremely well run establishment. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Not only do they give excellent care to the residents but also to their families.
Mum moved into Daisy Nook House in February of this year. It has been a challenging time for us, as her family to adjust to her not being at home. The care and love that mum receives from all of the staff has made this time more bearable. All the staff are amazing with us, as a family and are so caring and supportive. We could not wish for mum to be better cared for and we are so thankful to all of the staff at Daisy Nook.
My mother is a resident at Daisynook. She is well cared for and well-stimulated by all the staff they are all so caring. They have excellent cooked meals, snacks, drinks, and lots of cups of tea to keep their fluids up. They have activities on a daily basis (excluding weekends). The residents have protected meal times to respect their dignity at all times.
Mum is very happy in Daisy Nook Care Home. At home with carers 4 times a day she was very unhappy and wouldn't take meds or eat. In Daisy Nook she is alert, eating, and mobile, 100% better and for that we as a family are very grateful to all the staff.
My husband has been in Daisy Room for a short time but so far so good.
Lovely home. The staff work really hard and provide an excellent service. Every resident is cared for and loved after with a one-to-one service. They celebrate every occasion for the residents often planning trips out.
After checking out other care homes for my husband I was fortunate to find Daiy Nook House. My family and I can't believe how well he has settled. He has been joining in with various activities, enjoys the weekly singer and has been out and about. I can't thank the staff enough the home has a lovely welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. I would highly recommend Daisy Nook House.
With a heavy heart, my mum had to leave her home of 32 years to live at Daisy Nook House in 2021. Although a difficult decision to make on her behalf it was the best one. The staff including laundry, domestic, catering and maintenance have all contributed to her settling and accepting her surroundings and ultimately calling it home. As a family, we are thankful for her care in a clean and fresh environment, healthy nutrition, kindness and compassion, especially in our mum's final days. Good communication always which is most important and a fabulous entertainment program.
Having experienced a previous care home for my mum, the difference at Daisy Nook House is amazing. My mum is always clean, well fed and cared for, always has companionship if she requires and is encouraged to join in activities and attend entertainment sessions. She is pampered by the hairdresser and her nail are always beautifully done. All staff are polite and welcoming to myself and I am completely at ease Mum is in this place.
My friend has been a resident at Daisy Nook for the last few months. The activities have been fabulous, and the staff are always welcoming and make you feel really at home. There's always a warm welcome. My friend has flourished whilst being at Daisy Nook House.
My dad has been a resident since October 2021. There is a real sense of care from the staff. The home always seems to have something going on; singers, dancers, days out and many many activities within the home. There are many themed events throughout the year where relatives can also get involved. The home also has very good lines of communication and I feel that I can call any time if I can't contact my dad on his mobile. Obviously I'm sad that my dad has had to go into a care home but I have no concerns about the level of care and attention he receives.
My husband has been a resident at Daisy Nook House for 2 years. I am very pleased with the care he receives there. There are lots of activities to stimulate and entertain the residents. I am happy he was lucky to be accepted at Daisy Nook House.
My nana has been a resident for what will be 2 years this March. As a family, we are very thankful for the quality of care that is given. All the staff are lovely and couldn't be more helpful. They always have something going on such as singers, dancers, days out and little parties and it's very nice as I feel not a lot of care homes look after their residents as much as Daisy Nook do. Very happy that this is the home we chose to help look after Nana.
On visiting today I was very happy to see such a lovely home. The best I've ever visited and I've been to a lot. The staff were excellent. The rooms are so clean. No nasty smells. The food looked good and I was offered a drink, that's never happened before. I would highly recommend Daisy Nook House to anyone. The best ever!
My dad came to stay at Daisy Nook following a long stay in hospital. He was reluctant to be in residential care, as I'm sure most people are initially. However, he is very complimentary towards the staff and feels he is well looked after. My dad doesn't always join in activities, but I am particularly impressed with what the home has to offer, to ensure adequate stimulation for the residents. Staff are friendly and the home is immaculate, standards are high and I would definitely recommend.
We can't thank all the staff enough for all they did in helping our mum celebrate her 80th Birthday. The staff members really do care and look after the residents very well. A big shout out to the events coordinator who just went out of her way to help with the preparation, nothing was too much trouble. We made very special memories on this day which means a lot so thank you to Daisy Nook.
I honestly can't praise the approach of the manager or the staff team at Daisy Nook House where my aunt has lived for 2 two years. The manager always makes the effort to come and say hello and the staff are so welcoming. My aunty has put on weight, always looks well kept and is always taking part in the activities. One staff member, in particular, is an absolute star. I can't recommend Daisy Nook high enough.
The staff are very caring, friendly, lovely and really helpful. They really do look after the residents with genuine care and compassion. They always make me feel really warm and welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
Staff always remember who I come to see and always know where she is. Staff have always been very helpful and welcoming. No false pretences, just genuinely care and give lots of attention not just to my friend but all the residents in their care.
I have found the care home really nice from the moment I set foot in it. Mum initially needed respite for a month, but in reality, it was going to be a permanent move and so we as a family wanted her to go somewhere, and only have to move once. The staff, led by the manager, are all really helpful, always have time to talk about how Mum is doing, what activities they have coming up and how she has enjoyed participating in recent events. We love the fact that it is a lot quieter and calmer than other care homes we have visited. We feel happy that Mum is getting the care and attention that she needs here and the staff always try to do their best for her, and all the residents in there.
